Can't purchase songs from iTunes store

I recently pre-ordered an album from the Australian iTunes store, which has now become available for download, However, when iTunes prompts me to purchase it, an error message appears that says: "The iTunes Store is unable to process purchases at this time. Payment processing is temporarily unavailable. You may continue to browse the store. Please try to make your purchase later."
When I go to the page that the album is on, and click on "Buy Album", it says the download will begin and that my credit card will be charged for the purchase, even though I'm using Payclick (I don't have a credit card connected with iTunes). If I decide to go ahead with this option, how will the album be paid for, if I don't have a credit card?
I only contacted Apple Support a few hours ago, so it's too early to have received a response yet.
Has anyone else been experiencing the same problem?

Glad to hear I'm not the only one.
Received a reply from Apple, but they clearly misunderstood my query. They thought I didn't know how to download it. The people who answer these emails must either be very stupid, or they can't speak English properly. I've sent a reply to them, so hopefully this time they'll understand...

  • Unable to purchase songs from itunes store .... ?

    hi ,
from last few days i am trying to purchase songs from itune store but BUY option in missing .... dun no y ?

If you've bought them recently, it's not actually an authorization issue; the songs are corrupt. Delete and redownload them if doing so is free in your country.

I downloaded songs from itunes store a while back. My laptop crashed and now i have a small ASUS eee pc with a 4gb hard drive. I have windows XP SP1 and cannot upgrade to SP2 (not enough room on my HD). i had to get an older version of itunes that's compatible with SP1. I can see the songs that I purchased but when I click on them it asks for password to authorize, then i enter it and then it says 'this computer is already authorized.' So now, what do I do? Help!!! I want the songs I bought!

  • Can't download purchased songs from itunes store.

I recently had my laptop and itouch stolen. I now have a new laptop and itouch and would like to download the already purchased songs from the itunes store onto my new laptop. The itunes store has the songs in my purchase history but I can't find the option to download them again. I tried buying a song again to see if it would state that I had already purchased the song and that I could download it for free. But it only asked me if I would "like to buy it again". Surely their must be a way to download the songs again onto my new laptop. Any help would be great.

  • Can i purchase song from itunes-malaysia

I'm Penny from Malaysia, just wonder can i purchase the song from iTunes?
    Thank you.

You can if the song that you want to buy is in the Malaysia iTunes store, you can't purchase from another country's store (you need to be in a country, and have a billing address in that country on your account, to use its store).
If the song that you want to purchase isn't in the Malaysia store then you can try requesting that it be added (these are user-to-user forums), but unless the Malaysia rights-holder agrees to it then Apple won't be able to sell it there : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html

  • Getting purchased songs from itunes store onto new computer

I have a brand new computer and ipod, and I'm wondering if there is a way to get previously purchased songs from the itunes store into my library and onto my ipod. My computer is already authorized and I know there is a way to get purchased songs from an ipod into itunes, but I can't figure out store into library. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I know there is a way to get purchased songs from an ipod into itunes, but I can't figure out store into library.
I am confused. Purchased items are from the store.
    iTunes is the library.
So if you know how to get purchased > iTunes, then you already are moving store > library.
The easiest way to get everything from old computer to new computer is...
Copy the entire \Music\iTunes folder from the old computer to \Music\ on the new computer.
    You can use your iPod.
See this -> <How to use your iPod to move your music to a new computer/a>

  • Suddenly can't download songs from iTunes store

I'm on a Mac OS X 10.4.11, using iTunes 9.2.1 (4) and Safari 4.1.3.  This worked fine back in June, the last time I downloaded anything!  Now I am again trying to purchase from iTunes store, and repeatedly getting the message, 'Session timed out.  Try again.'  Any ideas to resolve this?  Thanks!

    Hi Curt,
Well, to solve this problem you only need to connect your iPod to the computer. I'm not sure why this happened, but if your iPod have access to your iTunes Store account, then it will automatically update your missing info.
You just need to authorize your computer and connect your iPod.
    So you have two options:
    Do it when you arrive home, connecting it to your home computer;
    or
Fist authorize your work computer, the connect your iPod. If you want, you can deauthorize this computer after finishing the process.
Unfortunately there's nothing you can do directly on your iPod Touch
    Hope this helps!

  • How to Recover purchased songs from iTunes store?

I recently fixed my iTunes, but in the process I've seemed to have lost about half of my purchased songs. When I go to "My Music" folder to try to get them back they are not there, but in my account I have a recipt of all my purchased songs (so I can prove I've bought them). Any ideas on how to get them back? Thanks for the help.

f you didn't make a back-up of your purchases to restore from then I'm sorry to say that the policy on lost purchases is that you have to pay to download them again:
"Once a Product is purchased and you receive the Product, it is your responsibility not to lose, destroy, or damage the Product, and Apple shall be without liability to you in the event of any loss, destruction, or damage." iTunes Store: Purchased content can be downloaded only once
You could try contacting the iTunes Music Store Customer Service and you might be able to persuade them to sanction a second free download. There have been occasional reports in the iTunes forum of this happening, however just be aware that they are not under any obligation to do so. If you click on any of the links on this page you'll find a space at the bottom to email your query: iTMS Customer Service
If you have an iPod that still has the purchases on it the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. You'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer

  • Can't download songs from iTunes store

When I try to purchase and download a song, I get a message that says "Item not available. Make sure your computer's date is set correctly and that it accepts cookies from the iTunes Music Store." My computer meets these criteria. Any ideas? I just upgraded to iTunes version 11.1.3.

  • Can't download songs from iTunes Store - Changed/Invalid Email??

This is probably a really stupid question, but I'll ask anyway. On my iPod Touch, running the latest firmware, I tried to download a song off the iTunes Store. It prompts me for my password and the account name it has listed is correct. However, I receive the following error:
Your email address has changed or is invalid. Go to the iTunes Store on your computer and update your Account info.
I'm at work now, so needless to say I don't have access to my home computer. I'm not sure why I'd be receiving this message as my iTunes account information hasn't changed in years and all my purchased music plays just fine on my Touch.
My email is a Yahoo account, however, I have my Mail client on the Touch set up to retrieve my DotMac account only. Is that perhaps an issue here? I wouldn't think so since I thought the Touch got the iTunes account info from syncing with iTunes on the host computer.
Is there any configuration that can be changed on the Touch to rectify this?
    Thanks!

  • Purchased songs from iTunes store without BPM

I want to make a playlist based on beats per minute. But ever single song/cd I have purchased from iTunes does not have the BPM. I have right clicked and asked for infomration, nothing. I used BEATunes and when I do an analysis with it, it finds the beats per minute on every downloaded cd, but not the purchased songs. How do I get them?

I treid out beaTunes the other day.
Took it back off my PC because it can't analyze protected AAC files from the iTunes store.
If you go to iTunes > Help > Provide iTunes Feedback, please request that Apple enhance iTunes to figure out the BPM of purchased tracks.
If they are like most companies, the more customer requests they get for a specific feature, the more likely it will be added.
