Can't put serveral PDF files into one document any more.

I used to able to scan several PDF files into one document onto my desktop. I no longer can. I have Windows7 OS and a HP Photosmart 6515 printer.  PS. Just the other day I had someone remotely access my computer to fix a MagicJack (computer connected phone) issue and who knows what they might have done. Thank you anyone.
This question was solved.

Thanks for all the time you spent to help me and all the effort you you put forth to solve mine and other's problems. God bless you.

  • Can Preview combine separate PDF files into one?

I scanned two separate papers into pdf files to store on my Mac.  Is there a way to combine the two separate PDF files into one using Preview?

Yes there is, rather than my trying to describe how I will let this article do the job. I'm going to assuming you are still using Leopard. If you have upgraded to Snow Leopard or Lion the process is slightly different and can be found using Google:

  • Combine PDF files into one document?

Hi, does anyone know if there is a way to take several PDF documents that are the same size and orientation and combine them into one file?
    Thank you,

    Hi,
there's sadly no such function in Mac OS, but you can do it for free with Automator. There's a "Combine PDFs" function. I saved it as an application. If you can't figure it out, I can upload you the app, but Automator is really straightforward.

  • Combining PDF files into one document?

I am working on my MS thesis and need to combine two documents into one PDF file for electronic submission.  The two files are formatted with software that compiles the reference page and if combined in word will reformat the reference pages into one (I need them to be separate).  Once I save the documents as PDF's is there a way to combine them at that time.  This would be ideal.  Thank you

    Hi,
To add page number you can use Adobe Acrobat XI Pro that can be downloaded from www.adobe.com for Trial version.
How to add page numbers in PDF files:
    1. Open your PDF file in Acrobat
    2. Select "Tools" from right panel
    3. Select "Pages" tab
    4. Select "Header & Footter" then click "Header & Footer"
    5. Click "Insert Page Number"

How do you merge multiple pdf's into one document?

    Hi pharmovative,
You can use the Combine PDF feature of Adobe PDF pack to combine multiple PDF files into one document. (Or, if you have the full version of Acrobat, you an do it there as well by choosing Create > Combine Files into a Single PDF.)
Please let us know if you need further assistance.

Reader doesn't have that ability. You would need Acrobat.

Can I merge 3 jpeg files into one PDF on one page? For example: scanned newspaper article was too big for one scan process, I had to scan article 3 times. Can I merge these 3 jpegs and position them like columns?

Do you have Acrobat? If so, you can use the Add Image tool to place your images on the page where you want them to be. Alternatively, you can combine all 3 to a single PDF and then send that PDF to the PDF Printer, selecting the Multiple option to get them to appear on a single page of the new file.

    Hi Flávia,
Adobe PDF Pack is an online subscription--it definitely allows you to combine several files into one PDF file. For more information about PDF Pack, see Reliably Create PDFs, Convert PDFs, & Merge PDFs Online | Adobe PDF Pack. If you don't have the full version of Acrobat, this is a great solution for combining PDF files.
However, if you're using Acrobat (not Adobe Reader), you combine files by following these steps:
Open a PDF file that you want to add pages to.
Click the Pages pane on the Tools panel (on the right side of the application).
Click Insert From File, and choose the file that you want to combine with the PDF that you opened in step 1.
Make any changes necessary in the Insert Pages dialog box--these settings determine where the new file will be inserted.
    Click OK.
Please let me know how it goes.
    Best,
    Sara

  • How do I combine several PDF files into one?

I have renewed Adobe subscription and would like to combie several PDF files into one. I was able to do this last year, but can no longer combine files. What am I doing wrong? Step-by-step answer, please. Thank you.

As TSN has indicated we have no idea what program you are using, other than you posted in the Acrobat forum. In Acrobat you go to File > Create > Combine (varies with version of Acrobat). You can also open one and then use the pages>Insert to add the others.

    You can't do in Preview.

How do I merge 2 pdf files into one file?

I use PrimoPDF (free download) to create pdf files. To merge two docs/pdfs/etc., print the first to a new pdf using Primo. Close it, then print the second and save it to the same new pdf. Primo gives you the option to 'append' or 'overwrite' the original file. By using 'append', you are just adding it to the back of the existing file. You can do this repeatedly to resort or combine existing pages into a new pdf.
Also, I'm using Adobe Reader X.
