Can't RDP to any cloud service roles, even though it has been enabled through the Azure portal

Hi 
I have a cloud service deployed to one of my subscriptions. I have enabled remote desktop connection access using the Azure portal.
However, when I attempt to RDP to any one of the 5 roles in the cloud service, my attempts are rejected with the usual red "X" error:
"Remote desktop can't connect to the remote computer for one of these reasons:
1) Remote access to the server is not enabled
2) The remote computer has been turned off
3) The remote computer is not enabled on the network
Make sure that the remote computer is turned on and connected to the network and that remote access is enabled"
Note that I have tried reimaging all roles, deleting the deployment, deleting and recreating the cloud service itself, and none of these will give me RDP access to any of the roles. I have no idea why this will not work.
Also note, that RDP access can be enabled and used with no problems, in a different cloud service.
Can anyone help?

Have you ever previously been able to RDP to these roles?
Have you tried creating a new certificate for RDP?

    What did you download and from where?  Most downloads go to your Home/User/Downloads folder unless you've specified a different location in your browser. 
    If you downloaded the drivers from the App Store the drivers will be installed automatically and all you need to do is go to the System/Printers & Scanners preference pane as described below.
    You will have to install the drivers after downloading the installer package.  Lastly go to the System/Printers & Scanners preference pane and add the printer there.  It will automatically locate the drivers and set it up.

  • An update for numbers was shown for my macbook pro, however even though this has been done I cannot open numbers without updating and when you try to update again it advises you that this is already done so we go round in circles getting nowhere, any idea

    Do not delete the old version of Numbers (Numbers 2.3, Numbers'09). It has features that the new Numbers has lost (in particular, Print View).
    Numbers '09 has been moved to a folder called iWork '09 inside your Applications folder. The icon on your Dock continues to point to Numbers '09. Launching Numbers from that icon is why you get the "Update" message. Numbers 2.3 is trying to open a Numbers 3 document.
    The new version of Numbers (Numbers 3.2 is the latest version) lives in your Applications folder (not a sub folder). Drag that icon to your Dock. It will become an Alias. Right click (or control click) on it and Options > Keep In Dock. Now you can chose which version to run.
    Numbers 2 on the left (three columns)
    Numbers 3 on the right (four columns).
    Both versions will run happily side by side. Just be sure which version you use to open a Numbers document. If Numbers 3 tries to "steal" a Numbers 2 document, you will get a warning when you start to edit:
    Edit a Copy will preserve your Numbers 2 document and create a Numbers 3 copy. Cancel will get you out. Upgrade will convert your Numbers 2 document to a Numbers 3 document.
    If all else fails, you can do Menu > File > Export To > Numbers '09 to revert.
    Do not delete Numbers '09 (or Numbers '08) from your machine! You will need them.

    My iPhone 3GS was stolen last week and I used Find My iPhone to track it. I also successfully remotely locked it. I did not use the wipe function in the hopes that I might get it back. What I 'd like to know is if a thief can use iTunes to wipe the phone even though it's remotely locked? If so, how do they get around the lock?

    If they connect the phone to a computer, they can restore it as new through iTunes. This will wipe everything that is on the phone. The remote lock is to protect your data, not to prevent the phone from ever being used again.

  • Can't get rid of Speedial even though it has been removed from programs and from add-ons/extensions.

    I have removed speedial in the control panel, removed the exe and update files from windows/preload, and in firefox I have disabled, removed, and otherwise cursed the app! It still continues to take over my opening homepage, and continually flashes advertising for "Security Warning!, "Drivers Missing...UPDATE NOW!", etc.

    You might also check for the following:
    (1) Hijacked program shortcut
    Right-click the icon you use to start Firefox > Properties > Shortcut tab
    The Target line should not have any URLs on it, just:
    * 32-bit Windows: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"
    * 64-bit Windows: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"
    (2) user.js file
    This file, often created/updated by external software, will override your settings at every startup. This article describes how to track down and remove the file: [[How to fix preferences that won't save]].
    (3) Home page protection feature
    Some security or utility software includes a feature to undo settings changes back to a baseline. It may be the wrong baseline. For example, in Advanced SystemCare, turn off "Surfing Protection" in order to be able to make settings changes.
    By the way, which one did you have? Was it something like My Search Dial? If you run the name of it through Google, you probably will find dozens of sites providing removal advice. Some are pushing support services or paid software, but often you can just extract enough information to look in that one other place you've been missing.

  • My iPad 1 cannot install any apps from apple store even though it has been updated to ios 5.1.1 which is better than 4.3 that is required by most of the apps in apple store. I reset factory settings but still to no avail I cannot install any apps.

    A lot of apps have current versions that require higher iOS versions than 5.1.1
    But some developers allow you to download older compatible versions of their apps. If the app is free then try downloading the current version on your computer's iTunes so that it's in your account's 'purchase' history, and then in the Purchased tab in the App Store app on your iPad see if you can download an older compatible version of the app. If the app is paid-for then try contacting the developer first and see if that will work with their app (and if they have a version compatible with iOS 5.1.1 available) - don't buy the app until you know that it will work.

    This is my first iPhone, so i am having some troubles setting everything up!

    Please make sure that you are connected to the internet. There sould be a "3G or LTE or 4G or E symbol on the top left corner of the screen, if data is available to you.
    Whatsapp uses data services to send and receive messages. You need to be connected to the internet for that.

  • Lightroom 4 appears in Creative Cloud Menu even though it has been removed

    Lightroom 4 shows up under the Creative Cloud applicaiton Apps tab, saying it is "up to date", although I updated to Lightroom 5 months ago.  I don't have the Lightroom 4.0 app on my machine, and I've deleted all Lightroom 4.0 files from my Library folder.
    How do I get Creative Cloud to forget about Lightroom 4?

  • TS1702 I played HayDay on my iPhone until the app shut down very shortly after loading.  Then repeated that all on my iPad with same results, even though I am signing in through the Game Center.  Why doesn't the app stay open so I can play this enjoyable

    I played HayDay on my iPhone 4 to level 26-29 or so, then it didn't stay loaded when returning to play. Same scenario with iPad at level 26 even when signed in through Game Center.  Why does the game quit within a few seconds after loading?

    Never mind. I've did a hard reboot no matter how hard I pressed the power button. Thank goodness!!!

  • I can no longer receive me emails from my .mac account on my iMac even though I have been able to receive it for the past number of years, I have an iCloud account and it is sending my mail to my phone but not my desktop. What gives...

    I can no longer receive my emails from the icloud to my mac even though it has been doing it fine since I moved to the icloud a number of weeks now. I only get my mail if I log into icloud or I get it on my phone, it is not synching to my iMac. Can someone assist please.

    I tried something similar by adding a new mail account doing the apple id etc but it worked in that it would look for mail but no mail would come even though mail still goes to my phone I was loath to delete my original account just in case the new one did not work as well. So I guess I am a little stuck now.. I hope you can help me to sort it out.

    Oh no! I'm sorry to see there's a lot of confusion here and data shared, x-rayDon. We can definitely work to fix. This happens when two devices share the same Apple ID, so she will need to reset hers. She can do so by assessing this link Apple - My Apple ID. You will need to decide who will keep the account if want separate Apple IDs since purchases cannot be shared unless you do Family Sharing.
