Can't re-download Pages

Hi,
I bought Pages from Apple store (downloaded it NOT a CD) a while back and recently I needed to format my Mac and install a new OS. So now I tried to redownload again but to my surprise the site keeps telling me that Pages is already installed on my Mac which is not true.
I have no idea what to do, I don't have Pages and I can't download it.
Any suggestions??

Thank you very much; your suggestion has resolved my problem that has wasted many hours.. It would have been much cheaper to repurchase.. I am most disappointed from Apple support.. Among others, I could not send an e mail or even talk to a phone (except to a useless reorder).. A situation that I have never faced in any site! No representative in our country despite huge sale (KSA)..

Wayne Contello has written a User Tip for working with the old and new versions of iWork.
Need newer version of Numbers to open file
The trick is to drag icons for both versions to your Dock. Right click or control click on each and Options > Keep in Dock. That puts you in charge of which version you launch.
Here is a screen shot of both Numbers icons on my Dock.
Numbers 2.3 (Numbers '09) on the left with a three column graph.
Numbers 3.2 on the right with a four column graph.
Both versions will run happily together. Just be sure which version is opening your document.
Instead of double clicking the document, run whichever version of Numbers/Pages/Keynote suits and use File > Open.

Why can't I download Pages, Keynote, and Numbers for free even though I got my Mac and iPad mini as a student?

I bought my Macbook Pro and iPad mini at the Palisades Mall, New York location and was told that I can get those same apps for free on my Mac. I have been using my iPad mini for assignments and have never been able to download Pages, Keynote or Numbers on my Macbook Pro, despite having the same Apple ID and having all of these apps on my iPad Mini.
I don't know the exact day I got my Macbook Pro, but I have the serial number and I know the month and year I purchased it.
Yes, I got the student discount on both items, but the apps are only on my iPad mini.

iOS and OS X versions of these apps are entirely different apps. Getting one free doesn't entitle you to the other.
Pages, Numbers, and Keynote are free on the Mac App Store for qualifying Mac computers purchased on or after October 1, 2013. OS X Yosemite required. Downloading apps requires an Apple ID.

Can't save/download pages/files in FF 12.

A few days ago, my good old FF (12) stopped downloading and saving. Actually, in the download screen it looks as if it was downloaded (shows in its full size in the Download screen), but the 'open' option is gray and it can't be found in the download folder.
Also, when using 'save as' for web pages, only the html folder (images, etc.) is found where saved, but its 'mate' (the htm file) is not, and the 'open' option (on download screen) is gray.
I deleted the mimetype.rdf and the downloads.sqlite files;
I disabled all the relevant FF addons, changed downloading folder etc.--- nothing helps.
Do you have any idea?

Have you searched for the files in other locations?? It looks like an external Windows program, or perhaps a Firefox add-on is automatically transferring the files to another predefined location, or deleting the files. Many Apps have been re-written specifically for iOS 5 so you have to first plug your iPad into your computer, open iTunes and make sure that both the iTunes version and your iOS version are the latest.
Until that's done you wont be able to install or update some Apps.

Can't re download pages to macbook with lion

I recently had to replace the harddrive I installed a fresh copy of Lion and then went to the App Store to re install Pages and Numbers and got a message that they were unavailable as separate items and that they were avaioable in Mavericks; however Mavericks can't be installed on the Macbook. How do I get a copy of these programs? I have them on my Macbook Pro's , can I just move them or possibly us Migration Assistant?

New iPad mini retina but why can't I download pages and numbers for free?

I have just bought an iPad mini retina and used my current itunes account to register on the iPad. I can see that the keynote that I bought before is free but not numbers and pages. Are they not suppose to be free when buying a new device?

Hi, I did use my current apple ID to activate the device but I can't see it as one of my devices that are registerd to my ID. I have an iPhone and an iPad 2 that shows when I look on the devices connected to my account. Should I reset anything to do new registration? It appears that you are launching the old version, probably using an icon in your Dock. That icon is an alias & is not updated. You will need to go to your Applications folder & find the new Pages 5 icon & double-click it. Once it is launched, you can right-click on the icon & choose Options > keep in Dock from the contextual menu.

When using my Linux PC to try and locate drivers for another PC, the website just keeps sending me in circles and never displays the drivers to download. Seems like in the past this has been a problem too. This occures with latest version of Firefox-37.0.1 and the current version of Chromium-37.0.2062.120 Built on Debian 7.6, running on Debian 7.8 (281580) (64-bit).
Navigate to hp.com
Select: Support | Download Drivers
Under 'Drivers and Downloads' tab
- enter product id: officejet pro 8500 A909a
- Select 'Go'
Expand the '+' that lists one link and select it.
None of the following links give a driver download!
- Troubleshooting
- How To
- Product Info.
- Users Guide
- Video Tutorials
- More Options
Maybe one of the options should be 'Driver Downloads'.

No. You need to buy it for your Apple ID and for the other. You will have problems with updates

I have updated from Snow Leopard to Lion with Safari Version 5.0.5. Now I can not update to Safari 5.1. There is no update in the Software Updater, and on the apple-download page, I only found a Safari 5.1 for Snow Leopard. When executing it, there is an error message, that it is for 10.6 only.
It seems that I should have first updated Safari, and then only to Lion, which I didn't. Any idea how I can fix this now without having to rollback to Snow Leopard, update Safari and then go back to Lion?

The download worked better with Firefox not sure why. At the bottom of the page after the captcha>> slow down load is the Free link, it took about 4 minutes to download on my test.

Freeway allows you to inject code into the HTML of the page. Upload the movie file to a folder on your server and reference it in the code.

You may be able to default to DOC, but have not tried same.

As stevejobsfan said. But also if your profile is correct and you are running system 10.7 on your iMac, you will not have much portability between the two either. Think of them as 2 different programs that just happen to have the same name.
OS 10.9 Mavericks' version of Pages has greater compatibility with the app version of it. But there are a lot of consequences to moving to Mavericks which should not be done lightly. Read around a bit on it before making any decision to upgrade.
