Can't re-install Lightroom from CC

Following deleting due to not working properly. CC says it's there and up to date
Help please

If LR is uninstalled (no longer listed in the installed programs list) then sign out of the CC Manager app (Gear / Preferences / General / Account) and reboot, then sign back in to the CC Manager app, and see if it shows up.   It can take some time to realize LR is gone.  You can also try going to http://creative.adobe.com/ sign in, click on Lightroom, click the big blue Download button at the top, which should start up the Adobe Application Manager (if that’s what comes up instead of the CC Manager) and LR should start to download, then.

  • I can't install Lightroom from CC subscription

Hello, I can't install Lightroom from Adobe CC
Following 30 days of test with an evaluation version, I have subscribed to a pack CC+Lightroom; all is OK with CC, the evaluation version has been replaced by the subscribed one.
But on Lightroom side it went much more difficult; I was still with the evalaution version and was always requested to enter a serial number.
I asked for an advise on this forum and was suggested to uninstall Lightroom with Windows 8.1 process; I did so.
Now I try to install the regular Lightroom version, but a pop-up window called "URIHandler" is asking for the choice of a program, somewhere on my PC ?
I may add that the CC manager window is still indicated that I have an up-to date Lightroom version on my PC, which is unfortunately false; all lightroom directory has been deleted by the Windows uninstall process.
I am stuck at this stage; does someone did experience such situation, and could help ?
    Thanks a lot

Might not help your specific issue but you're installing outdated software.
Try installing the current version 5.7.1
Adobe - Lightroom : For Windows : Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.7.1

Can I un-install Yosemite from my iMac and re-install Mountain Lion?

Sorry to barge in like this but is it because you found it to have it's own way of doing stuff without your control? As i was thinking of doing the same thing because i found Mountain Lion much more user friendly.I know you came for an answer just was searching and came accross your question.
Hope you find the answer. good luck.

  • How to install Lightroom from CC when Lr5 is already installed

    Little help?
I have LR 5 (5.2) installed and have just joined the photographers deal.  I have installed Ps no problem but have been told by 'Chat' that to install lightroom from the cc i first need to uninstall lightroom 5?  Surely not?  Do i need to re-import everything, redo all the previews, recreate all my collections?
    Surely im missing something?
    Thanks for any advice.

    open lr5, click help>deactivate.
then click help>activate and use your cc adobe id to activate.
although, if you already purchased lr 5 outright, it doesn't make sense to do that.
on the other hand if you have lr 5 via a previous cc subscription you should have used the same adobe id for both cc purchases.

Why is it in a disk image?   (I use CarbonCopyCloner, not SuperDuper).
I call it that because I thought that was what SD termed it.  When I open any of the backup files, they mount like a disk image so, to me, that's what it is.  Sorry if my terminology confused things.

I believe so.  (However, it's a ML system and all the other computers in the house, except the dead one, still run Snow Leopard.)  In any case, the file is a sparse bundle.

If so, your solution is easy -- use Setup Assistant when the new Mac first starts up.  Select From Another Disk when asked if you want to Transfer your data.  See Using Setup Assistant on Mountain Lion or Lion for the gory details. It can transfer everything but OSX -- apps, user accounts and data, settings, etc.  It's similar to Migration Assistant, but avoids some possible problems.
That sounds ideal.  However, my Master Plan ran into a snag late yesterday.  I tried to create a backup (using SD) to get the latest stuff into an image, but SD gave an error message when it encountered one of the files (the Parallels app, which happens to be the very app that we're most keen to migrate over intact.  The error message (using AAA and BBB in place of the full paths) read:
Error copying /Volumes/AAA to /Volumes/BBB of type 8 due to error 7: Argument list too long
The file in question is one of the files internal to the Parallels app itself
    (Parallels Desktop.app/Contents/MacOS/launcher)
so I don't know if I have options to work around this and have SD go to completion.  SD aborted when it hit that error.
I have a couple of days to play around with this, to try to get a more recent backup.  Otherwise, I'll have to ponder the alternatives.
Thanks for the good discussion and tips!

  • I installed Lightroom from the CC program but does not show that it installed

I went to update my Photoshop cc and lightroom 5 from the CC app on my windows 7 pc and it shows that photoshop is installed but it is asking me to install lightroom?  I installed lightroom from the CC app? Should I reinstall it, it is working fine?

If it works I wouldn't worry until the next update may come out. This is probably just a lnagugae mismatch in one of the install databases or soem such thing that makes CC think it was never installed properly.

  • How can i install lightroom from my on line account

help just reinstalled windows . my adobe products that where purchased on line are not showing ie lightroom 5 premiere and photoshop elements .so i cant reinstall them?
ok i found my products i assume i just down load lightroom and elements etc then put in my product key .
next bit best way of installing photos video into lightroom from my hard drive ,

If you still have your old Lightroom catalog from before you reinstalled Windows, you can just double-click on it and start using it again. If you didn't keep that catalog then you will have to start the import process all over again and start your processing from the beginning.

  • Can't even install Lightroom

    Hello,
first of all I've to apologize because my English istn't as good as it should be!
I hope you'll understand my problem.
As mentioned in the topic line, I can't install Lightroom 3. The installmanager runs well until copying the new data, then at ca. 80% this error massage appears:
Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly component {5C21D397-1DA5-3749-8C1F-165F21DE9E3E}. HRESULT: 0x80070002. assembly interface: IAssemblyCacheItem, function: Commit, assembly name: Microsoft.VC90.MFCLOC,version="9.0.21022.8",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",processorAr chitecture="amd64",type="win32"
So far no problem. I checked the web for solutions, the following things seemed to fit:
    1. Re-Install .NET Framework - I've done this twice in the meantime...
    2. Re-Install Visual C++ Runtimes - Also done twice
    3. Close all other programms incl. AV via msconfig - done
But this error hasn't gone jet...
I thought for a short period of time that, maybe, the cd is corrupted. Luckily Adobe has the client downloadable on its website.
How could I say? Installation via web-client also failed, same Error....
Now I don't know what to do further! I would be glad if any of you can give me a hint or probably a solution.
    Thank You! -fehnse

    Thanks for your reply.
I have found  ADOBE support lacking, to say the least.  They had me run a program which invalidated my Vista License, and then had the nerve to tell me to contact Microsoft to fix that problem.  And THEN they had the nerve to tell me that LR3 wouldn't install because my Vista license was no longer valid.  They could not seem to comprehend that my first attempt to install LR3 was BEFORE they had me run the program which invalidated my Vista license.
I corrected my license problem by going through the online validation process with MS.  The final straw was the last tech who seemed to be questioning my honesty.  He was skeptical that I had not validated Vista, and wanted to get remote access to my computer.  That takes some nerve, doesn't it?  I didn't allow him access but he took my telephone number to have a "Senior," tech call me.  I doubt I will get that call, based on the comments of other Adobe customers.
I am shocked at this kind of service from Adobe.  I am comparing to HP, which has been surprisingly helpful with my laptop that has been out of warranty for two years.
Anytime someone tells me that I have to re-load my OS, I know I'm talking to the wrong person.  Reloading the OS and all the programs is always the easiest resolution for the person giving the advice.  It may work, but it's not always necessary.  After having done that a couple of times, I decided to buy another laptop hard drive and clone my internal drive to it every couple of weeks.  If my drive goes bad, or I need to reload every thing, I just swap the drives, and restore files which have been updated since the last cloning.
I found some instructions on Intuit's Turbotax website which I will try when I return home from the weekend, if I haven't heard from Adobe.
I wish that I could paste the link; just google "error 1935 turbotax" and it's usually at the top.
I'll attach a screen print so you can see what it should look like.

  • Can't boot install disk from usb drive

I bought a macbook pro back in late 2007 and up until now im getting ready to sell it. So now while restoring to factory settings, i wiped off the hard drive and i need to reinstall my install discs which i still have. However, the cd drive doenst work on the laptop. It hasnt worked since i can remember. I already imaged the instal disk into a usb flash drive and tried booting from there. When i turn it on and hold "option," it reads the flash drive as a backup, but it wont boot from it. I click the flash drive, and it loads, but then the apple logo gets replaced by a "no symbol."
I have a new macbook pro, but not a firewire cable or an external cd/dvd drive. Anyone know how i can get the old laptop to boot from the usb?
BTW, the install cd's are for tiger, but i installed snow leopard when it came out. Im not sure if i still have the cd for snow leopard, but i dont think that would help since the cd drive doenst work. Do i need to buy an external cd drive to reinstall my operating system?

    chonke wrote:

Well that's your problem you used Tiger and the firmware was changed to prevent booting from the older operating system once you upgraded to Snow Leopard.
You will need a copy of the Snow Leopard disks, the white one's online at Apple will work
Then you need to follow this to make a 10.6 install USB
    http://www.maciverse.com/install-os-x-snow-leopard-from-usb-flash-drive.html
Here are the instructions to install Snow Leopard, I advise zero erasing the entire drive first, this will clear any bad sectors and make the install work perfectly when you sell it and not get call back (although the cd drive is dead of course)
You might be able to extract the free iLife off the Tiger disks, then Software Update fully to bring it up to date using Pacifist from CharlesSoft.
How to erase and install Snow Leopard 10.6
BTW, you can't boot/install off a external optical, only internal.

  • Can I (re)install everything from a DiskImage backup?

I assume (hope!) this is why we do backups, but I wanted to confirm The Plan.
We have an old MB Pro, running Mt Lion.  We have a DiskImage backup on an external HD.  The MBP (2007 model) just died and we'll be replacing it with a current version MBP (one of the non-retina models, if that matters).
Will we be able to simply do a 'restore' from the disk image (wiping out what's installed on the new machine) so that we get all the applications (with their keys/licenses) and files as they were on the old machine?
(In the past, when I've migrated to a new machine it was also to a newer version of the OS, so the steps were a bit different.  This time, given that the OS is basically unchanging, I'm hoping that the process is somewhat easier.)

  • How do I re-install Lightroom from the cloud ?

I uninstalled Lightroom after downloading from the Cloud becasuse it was not working properly and I do not know how to re-install it from the Cloud.

Go to the Windows control panel and uninstall LR5.2 64 bit and uninstall Adobe Creative Cloud.

(com.apple.installer.pagecontroller error -1.)Couldn't open "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.pkg'..I downloaded and reinstalled 4 times without success. Does anyone know why this is happening and what I can do to install the program?

  • Installing Lightroom from Bundle on Second Computer

I subscribe to the Photographers' bundle consisting of Lightroom and Photoshop. I attempted to install Lightroom on a second computer (laptop) but none of the product keys I have worked. (I tried using the key in the Photoshop Lightroom Bundle as well as individual Photoshop and Lightroom licenses, though I think those are older versions.) I obtained the latest version of lightroom by downloading a trial version.

SamSchaen please choose the option to License this Software when opening Photoshop Lightroom.  You will then be given the option to enter an Adobe ID.  Please enter the Adobe ID tied to your membership.
If you continue to experience difficulties then please uninstall your current installation of Photoshop Lightroom and reinstall through the Creative Cloud Desktop application.  You can find more details at Install and update apps - https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-apps.html.

  • My mac just turned off and wont turn on, i have another laptop, I was working on editing a photo shoot in lightroom. Is there a way I can log into my lightroom from another computer to access my catalog?

My macbook just turned off and will not turn back on. I have another laptop, I was editing a photoshoot, and I needed to access those photos. Is there anyway to log into my lightroom account from another laptop, so that I can access those?

Unfortunately, your Lr catalogue is stored on the original Mac, so just logging into your account would not work. As a Windows user in your situation, and if the need for speed was essential, I would remove the hard drive from the malfunctioning PCI and connect it to a working example and try to access the catalogue from  an installation of Lr on that one. Is that at all possible with your Mac setup?
Edit: do you have separate backups of your catalogue, in the cloud for instance, but can the catalogue held there be installed on a different Mac? I 've no idea if this is possible, but if you're a professional facing a deadline etc, it might be worthwhile investigating this possibility if it's impossible to move the hard drive as I suggested above.
