Can't re-install previous purchases from Mac AppStore

I previously deleted the Victoria 2 games that I had bought and installed from the Mac AppStore. I've done this so many times with Steam because I don't like games/apps that I don't use taking up space. Then I go back and reinstall later if I want to. But with the AppStore, under the place where it says "purchases", when you click "Install" it makes an attempt for like a second and then just reverts to the "install" button. I can't install them, and it's really very infuriating.
Please help!

NEVER MIND; Resolved. Appearantly when you go directly to the particular app in the store and click "install" there it works, as opposed to tyring to reinstall it from "purchases"....very strange..

  • Can't find my previous purchases from iTunes

I recently had to re-install my iPhone after deactivating it by a mistake. And now I have all the receipts from iTunes of my purchases (in my iCloud inbox) but I can't find them in my libraries on my iPhone and on iTunes installed on the PC.
Where can I find my purchases? There's few things more frustrating than using more money on already purchased music.

    iTunes>Right Sidebar>Quick Links>Purchased. On your phone: App Store>Updares>Purchased...iTunes>More>Purchased.

  • I can't download a previous purchase from iTunes

I purchased an album about 6 months ago. It on my ipad but not my phone. When I go to iTunes it Sayers purchased but won't let me download it again. Any ideas? Many thanks for the help

Unhiding it should get it to appear. Try closing the iTunes store app via the phone's taskbar and see if it shows when you re-open it (it may need 'refreshing') : from the home screen (i.e. not with the iTunes store app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar at the bottom of the screen, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the iTunes app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.

  • Re-install previously purchased applications in Ov...

    Hi, all.
I have nokia E5, and i was forced to format phone usig *#7370#, memory card was also formated. So the problem is - how can i re-install previously purchased applications in ovi store?
I thought it will be easy way, however it doesn't. Despite the fact that all of my previously purchased apps appeared in "My Stuff" section in Ovi Store applications, i cant download it, they only offer me to buy it again, I tried to solve this problem using pc, i wanted to download apps to pc from ovi store website and then move to phone. But all i can do - send a link to phone, and there i was offered to buy app again. It's just shocking omission of Ovi Store, that repels future purchases.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but, had you backed up your phone and it's applications, would you have been able to restore them?
Maybe for whatever the reason was for you reformatting, you weren't given a chance to backup your phone?
The reason I'm saying this is because I'm considering either factory resetting my phone or re-flashing the firmware because I'm having problems installing Quickoffice Pro and this is what they advise people to do in such circumstances, but I'm quite nervous about doing so because I've never had to do this before and I'd really hate to get into such a mess.

  • HT201272 Can I still download my previous purchase from my previous country (returning back) without repurchasing it?

Can I still download my previous purchase from my previous country (returning back) without repurchasing it? I'm curious since my purchase of iPhoto has disappeared on my mac, will I be able to get it again without repurchasing?

How are you trying to redownload them e.g. you are using the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes :
If you are in a country where music can be redownloaded then that should let you redownload them from the store.
If they redownload in the same shortened state then you can contact iTunes Support : http://reportaproblem.apple.com
If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

I am trying to "authorize" my new computer so that I can download my previous purchases from the cloud.  It says to open iTunes and go to the STORE menu and select AUTHORIZE MY COMPUTER, but when I open iTunes there is no STORE menu.  Can anyone help?

If the computer's running Mac OS X, move the cursor to the very top of the computer's screen, click on Store, and choose Authorize this Computer.
If the computer's running Windows, press the Alt and S keys and choose Authorize this Computer, or click here, follow the instructions, click on Store in the menu bar, and choose Authorize this Computer.

  • I've reinstalled the mac os x lion then i cannot see all my previous purchases from the app store

I wanted to install/restore the iLife (iPhoto, iMovie, Garageband etc), there was just a button there that says accept, I clicked that however a dialog box says that
however when I went to the purchases tab it says there that I haven't puchased any apps at all.
I restarted my mac multiple times however I just can't see my previous purchases/apps to restore them especially the iLife apps.
    Help??!!

    Hi...
Might have been "hidden" >  Mac App Store: Update applications
I went to the purchases tab it says there that I haven't puchased any apps at all.
And make sure you are using the same Apple ID used for the original purchase of the apps.

When you purchase content from the iTunes Store it's downloaded to the storage/hard drive of the computer you purchased them on. You should have made a backup like iTunes warns you to do.
However there is some hope, I can instruct you how to recover your content from the hard drive of the dead PC, provided the hard drive ITSELF still mechanically works and if your willing to perhaps spend some money and get your hands a bit dirty.
    Recovery option:
I'm going to assume here that the PC is dead, either mechanically or the computer won't boot from the hard drive and you are willing to extract the hard drive from the computer and see if it works to get your data off.
Be gentle, disconnect the power and remove the battery before carefully opening up the PC to remove the drive.
Once you got the drive out there is a powered IDE/SATA to USB adapter for sale online for $20 that you can take that internal hard drive and use it like a external drive to access your files from another Windows machine.
Your attempting to access a Windows NTFS drive from a Mac which can't read it, you need Paragons's NTFS for Mac® OS X software installed on the Mac first before hooking up the NTFS Windows formatted drive.
Once you do that, you should be able to navigate to your Windows/Music folder and transfer the whole iTunes folder directly to the Mac desktop and also recover any other files you need as well.
    Good Luck

I'm looking to use Bootcamp on my iMac 24". If I download Windows 7 from the Windows website, can I properly install it to my Mac? Do I need the disks instead?
I'm hoping to download it from their website because I can pay $30 for the student discount instead of $119...

When burning the .iso file to a disc restrict the burn-speed to 2x
Otherwise the disc will most likely not work.
It's a common phenomenon on Macs.

  • Can I again downlaod music which I previously purchased from the Itunes.

My computer crashed and now I can't access my saved Itunes music. Can I downlaod music which I previously purchased from the Itunes store a second time (so I can put on my new computer).
Since I bought the music once, I shouldn't have to buy it again....right?

Well, when you buy something from iTunes you can only download it from them once.
You can e-mail them here and see if they can let you re-download the files
    http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/store
Or, you can try to sync the purchases back off your iPod using iTunes 7
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93366
Or, you can always download a third party application to transfer everything off your iPod, such as iPodRip or iPodUtil.

How can I re-download previously purchased songs from itunes?

You only get one download.  It is your responsibility to backup your purchases.
UNLESS, you are in the U.S, then you can use the Beta version of icloud.  Open itunes store, click Purchased, under Quick links

Try Amazon but look for the iWork suite of software. It's only sold separately as Pages, Keynote, and Numbers from the App Store.
