Can't reactivate my iPad 1, (iPad is not recognized and cannot be activated for service) Help?!

I recently had to reset my ipad to factory settings but now it wont let me reactivate it on the ipad or through itunes. Already tried recovery mode and still getting the same error. Any suggestions or anyone had this problem and found a fix before?

Today I've received a replacement iPad (from Apple), and surprise surprise, when I connected it to iTunes for proceed with the initial setup, the following message arised
We're sorry, the iPad you connected is not recognized and cannot be activated for service.

I've contacted with my local apple support, and they told me to try to reinstall the iPad entering in DFU mode. I did it twice, and both times the procedure went perfectly but once finished the above message appeared once again.
They have told me to send it once again for repair, but, someone knows how to resolve this ? I've sent my previous iPad ten days ago, and now, I will have to wait other ten and I'm a little bit dissapointed.

Thanks for that. Much more constructive than the last comment. It's only the restriction code I can't recall, not the access passcode. So I can currently access the device, just not age restricted content. Does that's make a difference? I also wondered if anyone knew how many attempts you get to try to get it right. Now tried 21 times and so far nothing bad has happened but I am concerned I'll eventually be completely locked out of the device. That doesn't seem in the spirit of things though. Surely it's foreseeable that a child could repeatedly try to guess the code so I can't see that it would be right to lock the device down completely in that circumstance, particularly if the access code is being typed in correctly every time.

It is now disabling for an hour at a time.

FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.

The Ipod Touch, by itself does not allow cross-fading, therefore when the stop time is edited short, the song jusst truncates then goes to the next song. I tried the DJay ap and while it would crossfade, it would NOT read the song settings for the stop marker. So now I want to try and Ipad and see if there is an app that will READ the Itune stop settings within the song. I do NOT want an app that will allow me to DO the stop marker. I want an app that will READ the stop marker from the song as it is set in Itunes.

Itunes provides the option for setting the Start and Stop times of each music track. However, the start and stop times do not synchronize to the iPhone. I don't understand why this option is even available as it doesn't work when listening to music on the phone. I have not found another application that will support the start and stop time markets. I have searched quite a bit for this but can't find anything. I hope we can find something.

Which exact model iPad? It would almost certainly state system requirements on the packaging.

Have you tried a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
If the battery is empty then it may take about 15 minutes of charging before it will respond

Is the AppleID listed in Settings --> Store and Settings --> iCloud the same?
If it is a totally different ID and not a slight variation of yours, I would definitely take it back to the store. You may have bought a returned item that had been setup previously.

I am having the same issue with my iPad Air since upgrading to iOS 8.3. I need to close all open apps and power off the device with the plug attached, it then reboots and is receiving a charge. This did not happen prior to the update and it happens whatever charger/cord combination I connect.
