Can't read garageband file after crash

Hello everyone,
I have a a huge problem
I recorded a song in garageband 6.0.5 and saved it multiple times during the process.
As I finished the song I saved it one more time, but suddenly it crashed (I didn't even save it yet, I've only typed in the new name of the song)
Now I can't open the song anymore, it looks like this :
And when I try to open it, it gives me an error and garageband crashes
(Read error, invalid file format)
I hope someone can help me with this problem because I worked really hard on this song!

I'm using FCPX with a Macbook Pro 15" (2.8 GHz Intel Core i7). I've been importing old video on mini DV media for the past few weeks. Today FCP crashed during import. None of the material was in the project after reopening. So I imported again. Same thing happened. After a 3rd attempt to import failed, I noticed that my hard drive space was significantly reduced. I assume the imported material is on my hard drive, but I can't locate it. Does anyone have an idea where it might be found?

Old pdf files won't open, moved over some, still couldn't read, and emailed myself a pdf (it downloaded but would not open!!). Everything was working fine before update... now nothing works (can't even load txt files that can be seen in document viewer.
checked the pdf app and it doesn't allow me to delete it to reinstall!!
What the hell is going on??

Also you might want to get an andriod pdf reader...which is 1000 times better than the native one...it's called repliGo reader....have to install a bar file so you might want to head to crackberry.com to find out how..

Can not open InDesign file after crash

I was recently updating a file for a client using CS3 InDesign for the Mac. The file was created in InDesign CS2 and when I went to save the file my InDesign crashed. When I went to reopen the file, I was given this message "Cannot open the file "xxxx". Adobe InDesign may not support the file format, a plug-in that supports the file format may be missing, or the file may be open in another application."
I've tried reopening from CS2, a PC InDesign and from other computers, but they all give the same message.
This is a large document and I would hate to have to start from scratch, but I could use any suggestions or if anyone else has had the same issue with CS3?

Hi,
I can't print pdf files after recently upgrading to Adobe Reader XI.
Two error messages appear:
1.- Error when starting the application because it couldn't find LXBBGF.DLL. Re-installing the application can solve the problem.
2.- Can not load "LXBBPRP.DLL". Using defaults. Error: 126
I can print other files (word, etc) with the same printer.

Finally I followed the instructions from another similar discussion on this web site. Unfortunately I can't find it anymore...
I first uninstalled the Adobe Reader XI and then intalled an older version (Adobe Reader X). Now I can print pdf files!!

The acsm file is not the book, it is a ticket to get the book. I sometimes get library books online, here is what I do.
1. Start ADE on the computer
2. Go to library website and find the book I want to download.
3. Click on the download link
4. In windows 7 a box opens asking whether I want to open( or run) or save the acsm file
5. Click open/run and ADE downloads the book into the "Library"
6. Transfer the book (epub file) to the reader.

How can I read pdf files from LabVIEW with different versions of Acrobat reader?
I have made a LabVIEW program where I have possibility to read a PDF document. When I made this LabVIEW program it was Acrobat Reader 5.0.5 that was installed on the PC. Lather when the Acrobat Reader was upgraded to version 6.0, there was an error when VI tries to launch the LabVIEW program. And Later again when we upgraded to Acrobat Reader 7.0.5 I must again do some changes and rebuild the EXE files again
It isn't so very big job to do the changes in one single LabVIEW program, but we have built a lot of LabVIEW programs so this take time to due changes every time vi update Acrobat Reader. (We have build EXE files.)
The job is to right click the ActiveX container and Click "Insert ActiveX Object", then I can brows the computer for the new version of acrobat Reader. After this I must rebuild all the "methods" in the Activex call to make the VI executable again.
Is there a way to build LabVIEW program so I don't have to do this job every time we update Acrobat Reader?
This LabVIEW program is written in LabVIEW 6.1, but I se the problem is the same in LabVIEW 8.2.

it uses DDE or the command line to run an external application (e.g. Adobe Acrobat)

[Urgent] How to let FileAdapter to read next file after a customized period

Dear friends,
We are using SOA Suite 11.1.1.5 and use FileAdapter in BPEL Process to read files.
The file adapter in BPEL Process need to handle 14 inbound different files every batch time. And we want to let File Adapter to start reading next file after every 5 minutes. How can we achive this?
We tried the MinimumAge and SingleThreadModel properties, but seems no use.

Hi Tony,
I think this can help you. Set the following JCA property in File/FTP Adapter .jca file. This will restrict the max no. of files to be read every polling cycle. Set the polling frequency to 5 mins.

Please help! Can't open Numbers file after moving it back to iMac from Dropbox. Says I need the newer version of Numbers each time I tried to open the file. I am 100% sure that I had the newest version. Spoke to the AppleCare guy and after doing the checks he is also sure that I had the latest version of Numbers and AppleCare can't help. He suggested that maybe i should run it on a file repair program...any suggestion?... please help...

I've read reports of people having trouble when storing Numbers 3 documents on Dropbox. I think it's related to the fact that they're not really "files." They're "packages" that look like files. I had thought that Dropbox had cleared this up with their latest update. You should be on Dropbox version 2.4 or later.
If you have Time Machine you may have some luck going back in time and restoring the document from a previous version.
Storing Numbers documents on iCloud works much better, at least for me, and (unlike Dropbox) iCloud facilitates automatic syncing to other Macs and iOS devices signed into the same Apple ID.
Perhaps you could consider keeping Numbers documents in iCloud instead. iCloud is deeply integrated into the app, and now works well.

After a recent update of X, following error occured by running startx:
Fatal Server error
can't read lock file /tmp/.X0-lock
Has anybody an idea how to solve this problem?

Yep, I was root, and I'm wondering too....
I also tried to delete the file using the inode number, no success.
Everytime an application wants to access the file it gives me an: "stale nfs filehandle" message, but I don't even use nfs.
