Using iChat 2.1, I can send messages to others and they see my text. The return a message, I can see they've sent one, but I can't read it. Why? I've checked that my font is black on a normal background???? What else

-If you are overriding the senders' text and balloon colors, have you checked the font color and background for incoming message?

-Have you recently done your Regular Maintenance / General Troubleshooting? I know it says iMac at the top, but these tips really help keep OS X running smoothly on all Macs

After installed Lion, mail can't read the old messages

I have installed LION and all it's OK!!
But only MAIL have a Big problem, I can't read the old messages!!

I had the same problem, but this is was I did:
After the old messages was deleted I imported the old deleted messages from the ~/Library/Mail/V2/INBOX.mbox
After the import was done I moved/dragged the messages from Imported to the acoount where they were deleted from

Hello, for some reason I can NOT read any received Arabic text messages. However, i am able to send text messages in Arabic and receivers are able to read them in Arabic. Please advise.

It could be a carrier issue. There is really nothing you can do to change the behavior of the phone other than to try switching the OS language between English and Arabic or doing a reset.

Firefox gives a can't read source file message when downloading

I have tried to download and install the Opera browser and other .exe files (because Firefox is not working correctly, as witnessed by this message). First, I have to pause and restart the downloads many times; second, after the download is apparently complete, I get the "source file could not be read". I don't know whether it is related, but pages rarely complete opening and require that I stop the loading process.
I clicked to add troubleshooting information and couldn't do it. Connection failure with Mozilla.

Did you check your security software?
Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

im using my ICQ-account over the iChat app on my MAC. And when i'm trying to send messages, my chat buddy only recieves kryptic messages!
What can i do to make this work ?

At present you cannot do this in iChat 6
In earlier version there was an Add-on called Chax that could strip the HTML coding to produce the Ball0on and the colours when sending to an ICQ buddy.
The last version is not compatible with ichat 6 (they moved stuff)
There are rumours about a new version but the site does not list it yet.
You may find that changing the style (iChat View Menu > Messages when a text chat window is open) to Compact or Text may make it more readable to your ICQ buddy.

Im imac randomly crashed and a white screen rebooted my computer. I have no Idea why it rebooted. This was the error message... and as Im new to Apple, I have no idea what it says. I was hoping someone could understand it for me??

Can't read content error message

I have downloaded the latest version of Itunes but now I am getting an error message when I hook my ipod up. Message says cannot read contents.Recomends restoring the ipod from the source list but I don't see a source list on the screen??

Hello Everyone - As my subject says, I am trying to be patient. I have a Ipod Classic, 160GB and I have been having quite a few problems with it and my computer over the last few weeks. I downloaded the most current version of Itunes last week and made some updates to songs today, so I tried to "sync" it. I literally walked away for 30 seconds, came back and all of my songs on my Ipod were deleted (All 7000 songs)
When I tried to "sync" it again, it gave me an error message: "Itunes cannot read the contents of the Ipod. Go to the Summary Tab in Ipod Preferences and Click Restore to restore the Ipod to its factory settings.
And of course when I try to do that, it gives me an error message that says "Could not be restored. An unknown error has occured."
I'm not sure if it's my computer or if it's my Ipod. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My next step is to throw it all out of the window.

I forgot to mention that all of my music is on a external hard drive. So it is not a problem to reload it back onto Itunes or my Ipod.

Reading an error messages in one order

How can we read the ERRor Messages in the one order (i.e CRMD_ORder) transaction. Is there any function module which gives all the errors when we pass the Object Number/ Guid.

Hi Naresh,
Try the following function module passing parameters as indicated:
CRM_MESSAGES_SEARCH
IV_REF_OBJECT = GUID of the oneorder object
IV_REF_KIND = A (for header) or B (for item)
IV_ONLY_ERRORS_ON_OBJECT = abap_true
This will return the message log handle and message number in et_msg_info. Then, to get the message details, you can use the handle and message number and call the following FM:
CRM_MESSAGES_GET_LONGTEXT
IS_MSGH = (fill this structure with handle and number found above)
The message details will be fetched in the exporting parameters.

Sorry, not supported with iMessage. You need something like AIM or Jabber.

It sounds like you are getting this error message that your iPod cannot be read from or written to when you are trying to update your iPod Nano. I recommend the troubleshooting from the following article to help you get that resolved. Its pretty straight forward, just start at the top and work your way down as needed:

I restored the factory settings....the phone was on recovery mode...it was verified by itunes and all that..but in the end it again said that iphone has some problem and can not function right now.
after that when ever i connect it with itunes, it gives the message, it can not activate the iphone further, try again later or contact customer service.
What to do now?????? Customer service people say..it is hardware problem

If it's a hardware problem, then the phone will need to be replaced.
There is no magic that can fix a hardware problem.

If you are having the same problem, i.e. a disk permission problem, open your favorite search engine and search on, "change disk permissions", and I think you'll find plenty of information on how to fix the problem. This is a Lightroom forum. Your problem is with your operating system. There is no sense in rewriting instructions that are already available if you do a simple search.
