Can't receive a gifted movie from the US, in Canada? Please help!!

I was gifted a movie over iTunes from a good friend of mine, but I can't redeem it because I live in Canada... Is there a way to receive it? PLEASE HELP as soon as possible!! I'd really appreciate a quick answer. thanks!

Not directly; you need to be gifted money outside of iTunes and then spend it on that movie.

I would recommend signing out of your Apple ID in Settings -> iTunes and App Stores. After this, close all open apps and restart your device. Once your iPad is powered back up, sign back into your Apple ID in Settings -> iTunes and App Stores.

If the failed installation of Java is preventing your computer from shutting down normally, then I'd like you to please first try to force quit the unresponsive installer.

Reminders is automatically installed with 10.8 or above. A new Mac should have 10.9; it's possible that, with a third-party vendor, you have an earlier OS. Check under the Apple menu in the top left and click About This Mac. That will tell you what version of OS X you have.

Films can currently only be downloaded once from the store, which I think is a requirement from the film distributors, so they won't show in the Purchased section for re-downloading. Have you not got a backup of it on, for example, an external drive or CD/DVD ?

Yes, there is a 'parental controls' section under 'General' settings on the Apple TV. In there you are able to restrict movies to G rated only if you prefer using different rating systems for different countries.

OK you have 2 options lets say for example you live in the UK and the iTunes card is from the USA.
option 1) go to eBay and sell the card to someone in the USA.
option 2) use the itunes card.
if option 2 you will need to use the following steps
1) Move to the USA <------- This is just so you are following Apples rules ;-)
2) you will need a USA iTunes account, now that you live there so make a new Apple ID. To do this go to https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/wa/createAppleId?loca lang=en_US and the 1st thing you are going to want to do is go to the bottom of the page and make sure that next to "Choose Your Country or Regin" you have the US flag (or what ever flag matches the place you just moved to to use the card) if it doesnt then click on it and change it. Put in all info to setup the account, (if for some reason you cant remember the address of the place you just moved into then use google maps). if you dont get an option to make an iCloud email address then you can make a Gmail account and use that as your new Apple ID.
3) you have now moved and made a new iTunes account you can now use your gift card. You will have access to the content in your new country and it will be at their prices.
4) if you want content from both accounts, I assume you already have content purchased from your old account then login to your iTunes/iPhone/iPad with 1 account and download what you own then logout and login with your second account.

Once I have my /8 inch mini plug hooked to the coax digital input on my receiver, how do I know if it has the ability to decode the digital signal into 5. surround sound? What specifications about my receiver do I need to look for?

Almost guaranteed if your reciever has a digital connection at all, at very minimum it can do 5.. If you want the reciever to do the processing, make sure you change the decoder settings in device controls to passthrough. Then again, it's not helping me much right now with my toslink connection from the front of my dri've, but that's the "solution" from what I've read.

Contact iTunes Store Support and see of they will oblige you. If they do oblige you, consider it a one time gift as they are not obligated to refund anything to you.

Ok let me tell u exactly what i did...
1 i backed up the old iphone
2 updated the new iphone to ios8.02
3. try to restore from back up but it says the backup is corrupt or not compatible ( I've backed up the old iPhone 3 times now)
4. Set up as new iphone and then restore from backup (still didn't work, even tho on itunes it looks like its syncing everything i can't access the phone, its still on setup mode, it won't go pass the connected to itunes screen, and all of it I've done through itunes not wifi

In all honesty, your best bet is to scour the Apple web site and find an older version of iTunes, download it, do a full erase/uninstall of your current version (even get rid of the preferences file), and install the newly-downloaded version of iTunes. The only drawback is that you can't even use your old iTunes Library file, so you have re-establish EVERYTHING.
But at least then you'll be using an older, better version of iTunes.
