Can't Receive Calls on VOIP Service - Need to Check Port 5060

Hi Everyone,
I use a the www.mynetfone.com.auy voip service. It seems that I'm unable to receive calls (randomly).
I was told by their support team that I need to ensure Port 5060 is active. I checked with my internet provider and they dont block access to this port.
I need to know:
1. How can i check to see if this port is actually blocked on the Time Capsule; and
2. How do I allow access?

By default, the Time Capsule (TC) employs NAT so all incoming ports are blocked.
2. How do I allow access?
One method is to configure the TC to map port 5060 to the network device that is required to be accessed from the Internet. To do so, the device would have to be assigned a static IP address (or a DHCP-provided address must be reserved for it).

    You cannot make your @icloud.com address the login address for the ID. However you can change your ID, currently a Gmail one, to any other functioning non-Apple email address. The Gmail address would then no longer access your account, and so even if someone were to obtain posession of it (is that even possible) it wouldn't allow them to get into your account.
    If you want to change your ID to another email address please follow the procedure outlined below, particularly noting the first step.
    Firstly, if you have 'Find My iPhone/iPad/iMac' enabled on any of your devices, turn it off.
    Create a new email address, for example  at Yahoo or Gmail, or anywhere convenient (or you can use an existing address as long as it has never been associated with an Apple ID).
    Go to http://appleid.apple.com and click 'Manage your Apple ID'. Sign in with the current ID.
    Where it says 'Apple ID and primary email address' and gives your current ID email address, click 'edit'.
    Enter your new address and click 'Save changes'.
    Now you will need to go to each of your devices and sign out in System Preferences (or Settings)>iCloud - 'Sign out' on a Mac, 'Delete this account' on an iOS device (this will not delete the account from the server).
    Then sign back in with your new ID. Your iCloud data will disappear from your devices when you sign out, but reappear when you sign back in.
    I re-iterate: before you start, turn off 'Find My Mac' (or whatever) or you will need the services of Support.

    I Have an iPhone and my friend has an galaxy phone. Different provider. Verizon and tmobile. for some odd reason, we both can't receive any of each other's text or calls. We both have no blocks on our accounts. And when she calls me, it's says " Verizon  restriction" something. I even called Verizon customer service to double check if I had any blocks on my account and they said no. and it's only with her number. I can't text everybody else and call with no issues.     Any number of things could have caused the phone to do this. If after the reset you are experiencing additional problems, the next step in the troubleshooting process is a restore from a backup. Make sure you have one before you start the restore process. If that does not improve things, then you may have to restore as a new device. Remember, restoring as a new device will delete all data off the phone. Make sure all of your pictures are imported to the computer and all other data is synced to supported applications on the computer before restoring as new.     Hi, does your step dad have a smartphone or tablet? If he does he can load the Skype app and connect to the wifi in his home.If he doesn't have a smartphone then look into getting an Android smartphone from wherever you buy phones from in your country. An entry level device will be sufficent if you don't want to spend much money.  You can buy a Skype compatible regular phone but they are not cheap and have to be connected by ethernet to your home router http://dualphone.net/ Another option is to forward his Skype number to his landline (if he has one) and answer the calls there, then use his laptop to make outgoing calls when needed. A subscription would cover this quite cheaply.

    I should point out that it worked when the iPhone was set back to factory settings, but when restored with the backup, data/internet no longer works again, and I get the "Could not activate cellular data network" error message yet again.

    Yes. AIFF performs no compression so your copy will be bit for bit identical: no loss. It uses a lot of disk space too. Apple Lossless (ALAC) will compress, but also with no loss. Expect file sizes about 50% of the original.
    The sample rate of 44.1 KHz is identical to that of every commercially produced audio CDs that I am aware of. There is no benefit in increasing it or attempting to "tweak" its settings.
    I used Toast for many years and consider it a well designed product. I have not had any reason to upgrade to more recent versions though. If you copy the CD audio with no loss (AIFF or ALAC), then that obviates any question about sound quality since it will be identical to the original. Toast may be able to alter the sound quality but I don't advocate trying to improve upon what is essentially your only "master" - the audio CD. As I recall Toast had features such as noise reduction. That may be valuable for magnetic tape, but it's not a concern with a CD. Even very good noise reduction alters the original to some extent, and it seems to me that you want an exact duplicate. Any alteration will be contrary to your stated goal of bit-for-bit reproduction.

    How about going to a corporate store and see if they will let you put your SIM card in a display model. Your number will transfer over with the SIM card. Then if you call your number from your wife's phone or one of store landline phones and the call goes through, you have ruled out the SIM card being the problem.
    You don't have the phone number set to automatically forward to the voicemail, do you?

    I've been using my iphone 4 for more since I got it when it came out 1.5 yrs ago with hardly any problems.
    I updated to OS5 few weeks back and was totally Ok until today, I started my gmail, and the phone froze and the swirling symbol is going next to my full WiFi Access and ATT 2 bars signal strength.
    It's been more than 30 mnts, and can't receive calls, can't power it down, and nothing I pressed or did seems to affect the device.
    What do I do?

    Well, first, you can't revert back to OS 4.x, and second, a search of the forum will quickly show you that this could happen with 4.x, 3.x, 2.x and ever the original iPhone Classic.
    And don't think of the iPhone as a phone; it's a very powerful pocket sized computer that can also make phone calls. And it can suffer all of the things that happen to any computer, like the Windows Blue Screen of Death and the Mac OS X kernel panic (which is what happened). It happens when memory gets full (RAM, not storage) or when one app steps on the memory of another. You can minimize the chance of it happening by turning the phone off occasionally, which shuts down all of the apps.

    On all of these devices, go to: Settings > iCloud and make sure they're updated with the new password. If you're talking about Macs, go to: "System Preferences > iCloud" too.

    IF you have installed/activated Verizon Message+ on your phone, then yes you can. If not, you are out of luck.
    If they are iMessages on an iPhone, you could log into your iMessage account on an Apple computer to read the iMessages, but would be unable to view SMS/MMS.

    i have a honda crv, 9 month old. I have before an iphone 5 s, it was perfect./ios7.1.2/
    after soft update 8.0 disconected from hands free system, every 5-6 second, over 2-3 second back into connection automatically.
    After i changed into iphone 6 / only 8.X/
    It was an update. i think 8.0.2 for this problem, that this update was bad.
    This problem is by lexus, VW, and another 2 Honda CRV, 1 civic / 2024 /
    ONLY 8.0 or higher soft
    this time 8.1.2
    Today was 1 minutes call, by calling was 4-5 disconnect episodes
    i probe with another iphone 5s/7.1.2/, motorola x 2014, galaxy s5 - there are perfectly
    IT'S a  SOFTWARE PROBLEM!!!!

    I can't receive calls when I'm on either Youtube or safari. At least this is what I have checked so far. When people call when I'm online, they don't even get the voicemail. What must be wrong?

    Stay tuned: Others will chime in here soon--> Basilon is mistaken. The iPhone (currently) is simply not able to receive calls while actively on the internet via the edge network. The call will go directly to voice mail in that scenario.
    Allan's post is correct (you can take take his posts to the bank ;)).
    Basilon might have experienced a call come through when he was looking at a page that already downloaded (Don't even know if that's possible.)
