Can't receive emails on my iPhone or Macbook

Hi, there's an offline tag beside my inbox. I haven't been able to receive emails for 3 days on either my iPhone or Mac, but I can receive them on my iPad. I've tried everything without success. Could it be possible there's an outage on a particular server?

This can happen if you're using a POP mail account and you're not waiting long enough until the device has signed out from your mail server. See also this help article: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2621

  • Why can i receive emails on my iphone, but I can't reply to them

I can receive emails, but when I go to reply to them I get an error The smtp service smtp.eastlink.ca is not responding.  check yur network connection and that you entered the correct info in the outgoing mail service field.  Everything looks fine to me.  My phone is through BEll and my internet is through Eastlink.  No matter what I do I can't get it to work.  I am so fed up right now.  I checked with Bell and they had no idea.  I am still waiting for a reply from Eastlink.

would say your smpt settings are incorret or if it's over 3g your isp are blocking the ports that smtp use

  • Can't receive email on my iPhone 5

Since I got the new iPhone I have not been able to receive any emails on any of my email accounts. went to the troubleshooting and nothings work

I am not sure if this issue is going to help you but lets give it a try.
I know that where im from, which is the Netherlands, I am not able to sent e-mails from my iPhone or any other mobile device by using 3G or a random WIFI acces point. The provider only allowes you to sent e-mails when you are connected to a network of there own. Which means if you have provider "101" and your email settings are set up for this provider in your iPhone but your using the network of a friend of yours which is provider "202" you cannot sent emails from his network. Though you can receive them you may not sent.
As I said, I am not aware if this issue is the same for you totaly depents on the country and provider your using.

  • TS2621 I receive emails on my Iphone while Outlook is open on my computer but they quickly disappear.  Can this be solved?

I receive emails on my Iphone while Outlook is open on my computer but they quickly disappear.  Can this be solved?

No. You really can't do that. Not easily at any rate. You would have to set them both up to use POP3, but even then there is no way to guarantee that the phone won't poll the server prior to your computer doing so, pulling down the message from the server.

Thanks for the advise coolio88. Do you know if re-adding the account means all my messages get deleted?
Live mail is a POP system, everything will be deleted, so backup first.

  • TS3899 I am receiving email on my iphone 5OS but I am not able to replay and forward. How can I change setting?

I am receiving email on my iphone 5OS but I am not able to replay and forward. How can I change setting?

Close out of the mail app, double tap the home button and completely close out of the app.
Then do a reset, no data loss.  Hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.
    Then check your email again.

I can not send email from my iPad .  Have been using it for over a year, all of a sudden I can only receive email.  I have a wifi connection in my home and have a A T &T cellular data plan?

I have a 1st gen iPhone that I just updated the software to 2.0.2
Now whenever I press the mail icon it goes to the mail app for about 4 seconds, does nothing, no loading of folders, old messages, nothing.
Then it reverts back to the home screen. Tried restarting, haven't tried restoring, thought I'd look here first.
    Anyone???

  • Using Outlook 2007 I want to receive emails on my iPhone 4 only when Outlook is NOT open on my computer, as when away from home or want to quickly check email when computer is not turned on. Either ALL emails come to my iPhone or none at all.

Using Outlook 2007 I want to receive emails on my iPhone 4 only when Outlook is NOT open on my computer, as when away from home or want to quickly check email when computer is not turned on. Either ALL emails come to my iPhone or none at all. Is the setting I need to change in Outlook or on the iPhone or is it somewhere else?  I used to have this setting but transferring Outlook to a new laptop somehow turned it off.

No. You really can't do that. Not easily at any rate. You would have to set them both up to use POP3, but even then there is no way to guarantee that the phone won't poll the server prior to your computer doing so, pulling down the message from the server.

Lately, I'm receiving emails in my iPhone while working on my emails in my computer.   This creates duplicate emails and creating a lot of work deleting one set of emails.  How

  • Can't receive emails sent from Windows Mobile

After much troubleshooting, I've found that I can't receive emails sent from Windows Mobile users. I never noticed the issue until recently, but I can't pinpoint when the problem began: Leopard 10.5.2, Mail 3.2... not sure.
When a Windows Mobile user sends me an email, it just doesn't show up in my inbox. It does show up in a web client, my iPhone, and in Thunderbird, so I know the mail is being delivered to my mailbox on the server. However, there is no corresponding message located in ~/Library/Mail, so it looks like the message isn't being downloaded from the server. I have emails before and after the stubborn email message, so it hasn't interfered with anything else that I can tell.
Anyone else been able to pinpoint this issue and figure out a fix or workaround? Anyone have any ideas?

I am experiencing precisely the same issues. Messages from Windows Mobiles v.6 (more than just a single handset) are not being displayed in Mac Mail 3.2
I have tried rebuilding mailboxes and changing the IMAP port connecting with Exchange server. The mail is there as I can see it in Outlook, OWA, and OMA
Similar situation to you in that I have no idea when this started to happen, but it can only be in the last 3-4 weeks max.
Please, if anybody has a fix or workaround, or knows what changes have been made to Mac Mail in the last few weeks.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Can't receive email ios 8.2

i upgraded both my iPad and iPhone 6 last week to iOS 8.2, and now I can no longer receive emails on my iPhone. I can on my iPad. Sent a test email from my phone, and it did send. Anyone else having this problem?

I'm having the same issue with Hotmail.  But I have uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times, each time I switch wifi from home to work or cell data.  I have an iPhone 4S as well.  I think unless I have a cloud email account Apple is not going to play nice with my auto mail.  It only works after I reinstall, but as soon as I switch to either cell data or another wifi provider, the mail stops working.  This is super frustrating.  Apple chat was not helpful at all.  Apple, are you listening?
