Can't recover App, Phone off

I got my Iphone 5s yesterday, I tried using the normal App recovery but some Apps could not be recovered so I used ITunes. While this was happening, it got stuck with the Itunes logo and a plug-in icon. And Itunes could no longer detect the Iphone. I used the steps from Apple support, the PC recognised the USB, but Itunes refused to come up (you know the usuall way it does when an iphone it plugged to it), I did it mannually, still the phone could not be seen, and the phone went off completely. I have tried tuning it on to no avail. Please help!

No one here can help you, and no, there is no other way to turn your phone off. You have three choices: 1. Find a third-party repair shop to fix things, or 2. Apple has an out of warranty replacement program(they don't fix stuff like this), cost in the US is $199, and finally, 3. sell it on eBay & use the money to purchase a new phone.

    Before you have another accident:
Buy a UPS of good quality and sufficient to your needs.
I would have to assume that the drives were connected to a PCI PATA card, hopefully. Otherwise, well RAID and having drives on the same bus (master and slave).
And no backup, none at all...
Get your hands on a G4.
Data Rescue 3 from Prosoft maybe.
If they were SATA and running on PCI SATA controller, very popular and common really in G4s, more options would be open.

  • Can i shut my phone off if I am not with it?

can i shut my phone off if i left it somewhere so the battery wont completely die?

Contact someone who is near it and ask them to turn it off. There are really no other options.

I can't turn my phone off. The button is stuck.

Do you have a case on the iPhone? It could be interfering with the button operation.
If that isn't it, you'll have to setup service.

  • While downloading the latest IOS update to my iPhone 4, my phone went into a frozen state with the update 2/3's complete. It's remained like this for the past 12 hours. I can't turn the phone off, and I can't connect it to iTunes. Anyone know what to do?

If the place of purchase does not have a 'Lemon' policy (three replacements = refund or complete exchange), sadly you are out of luck.
And Apple themselves do not have any power over what policy a reseller uses. You can call Apple Care and have them replace it, but the odds are you would probably get a standard replacement again like has previously happened. I'm pretty sure Apple holds their own sort of 'Lemon' polocy where if it's been replaced three times through them they'll swap it out for a brand new phone. Not 100% sure though, best bet is too call them again.
And it ***** getting a response like that from their support personel, but hey, they can't all be that bad can they? I'm sure if you plead your case they'll try and help out. I've dealt with them in the past and had one or two people that rubbed me the wrong way, but most of them have been a great help and kept me a happy customer, haha.

  • HT201252 If I do a restore can I recover apps, music, books download since the last backup?

My iPad generation 3 will not turn on.  If I do a restore can I recover apps, music, books download since the last backup?

Restore onto a new device? Yes, provided the backup is complete. If it was done using iTunes, with all synch options enabled, onto local storage and encrypted, the resultant device will be identical in content to the original, have done this with an iPad 1 to a 3 and the 3 to a 5.
Onto the original device? Need to persuade it to turn on first else no restoring can be done.
Using iCloud? No idea on degree of completeness. Don't like putting my stuff somewhere beyond my control so don't use it and don't know.

  • HT4528 My iphone 4s screen is frozen, I can not shut the phone off, can not answer calls, does anyone know how to unfreeze it?

My iphone 4s screen is frozen, i can not shut the phone off, can not answer the phone or texts,

Reset, hold both home and power buttons until the iPhone begins to start. Usually takes about 10 seconds. Just keep holding both buttons.

  • How can I recover my phone memory after the software update...

    Hi,
My has been dead for one day, after continuous trying, I got a pop window to install the updates. I thought only updates and clicked on it. But it took long time and my phone got reset. All my data which was stored on phone memory got wiped out. I didn't use blackberry link before. First time I used it and it was happened like this.
Please help me how can I recover that data again. Please guys..I lost very important data..plz do help me..

    Hello,
Restore depends on a source of data from which to restore. BB provides plenty of FREE methods to backup your data and thereby protect that priceless resource. If you did not avail yourself of that, then you have migrated from the latter to the former in this old saying...there are 2 kinds of computing device users -- those who have lost data, and those who will. Backups, like insurance, are neither a reactive nor an optional activity.
    Good luck!

  • Battery on iphone 4s keeps dying and now i can't turn my phone off!

Hi, for the past few days i've noticed that the battery life on my iphone 4s has started dying really quickly, within 20 hours. And now when i try to turn my phone off, it automatically switches itself back on! I select "swipe to switch" and then it just reboots itself automatically back on. Can someone tell me why it is doing this, and how i can fix it? thanks very much!

Do a reboot by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears, ignore the red slider if hat appears.  If that does not help, take it to an Apple store for testing by the techs.

  • Can you drop your phone off at genius bar without an appointment

Is an appointment required to drop your phone off at the genius bar?  My son dropped his phone and it will not work.  I'd like to have a diagnostics run to see about the possibility of repairing it.

Yes, it is required in advance. Please make a Genius Appointment.

  • My iPhone 5s....screen is black, power is good, can't even turn phone off to reboot..

IiPhone 5s....Screen is black, can't turn on or off......if I push button...several minutes later Siri ask if I need help.

I think there must be something wrong with your iPhone. You should take it to a local store to have it repaired.

  • HT1267 How can I recover apps that have disappeared from my phone?

Apps I've purchased have disappeared from my iPhone.  I've gone to app store, tried to reinstall and get messaged "purchased", but the app doesn't show up on the phone.

Settings > General > Reset. Once there, select the "Reset Home Screen Layout" button. A dialog will pop-up asking for a confirmation.

  • Can you recover app data using Time Machine

When I got my 3GS, I consciously elected to create a new phone, rather than restoring from my previous backup. (Thought it would be best to start from scratch since I hadn't yet installed OS 3.0).
Anyway,I did this forgetting that only one app I use has any significant data associated with it -- my workout app.
Is there a way to recover the data for just that app using Time Machine?
    Thanks.

Had a similar issue with Peggle (close to the last level, but my saves didn't transfer! AAAHH!!!). What I had to do (according to AppleCare) was to restore my phone from a backup. This doesn't take long at all, and you don't have to redownload the OS to do it (it simply replaces "your stuff" with the backup. Doing it this way (instead of going with "new phone" fixed my problem. From there, you can change the name of your phone or whatever you want in iTunes.
Hopefully you made a recent backup of your old phone so you can do this. If you deleted your backup, you can use Time Machine to restore it and THEN restore from backup on your new phone. But to my knowledge (and according to the Apple rep I talked to) there is no way to simply transfer data within the app itself.

My child just clicked on an in app purchase, I just updated to ios6 and didn't realise u can turn it off in settings, can I get a refund

All purchases are considered final, but you can try contacting iTunes support and see if they will refund or credit you : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
