Can't recover Windows due error message

Hi, when I power on the computer I get the message "Launch startup repair" and "start windows normally". I have tried either option and in the repair option I always get to a booting point where the screen gives a message: "The installed program cannot start. click OK to turn off the computer"
In the "start windows normally" option it just stops with a blue screen with white writing telling me that it has stopped booting to protect the computer.
I have also pressed F8 for system recovery, and that also stops with the same message as the repair option message I mentioned above.
What are my options to get this laptop working properly again?

Hi, if i start windows normally i get a blue screen that says: "a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage" theres also sentances telling me to disable or uninstall any antivirus or backup utilities etc. and at the bottom it gives technical information: stop: 0x00000024 (0x00190444, 0x84eb5290, 0xc0000102, 0x00000000)
this means nothing to me, do you know what it indicates?
I don't have a recovery cd, where can i get one from, also the windows product id is rubbed off on the bottom, i understand that this id is needed when reinstalling?

Although you used the new USB 3.0 port, the actual connection speed is still USB2.0, as the iPod Dock connector, does not have the 10 times faster USB3.0 signal pins, the connection speed is still 480Mbits/s
I assumed that you have tried the other USB 2.0 port to no success..
Can you do the iPod Disk diagnostic as posted earlier by tt2, it wont fix your problem, but helps in troubleshooting.

I needed to update my iTunes since I purchased the iPad2. My Windows Vista machine will not allow me to update the program due to a "Windows Installer" error message. I first attempted to update, then I uninstalled and am unable to reinstall the software."There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run..."

I finally got the program to install/run. I downloaded a third copy and saved it again on the desktop. I selected "Run as Administrator" instead of "Run" It must have been the 10th plus time I tried to install, but this time it completed. I don't know if the "Run as Administrator" was the key since it is Vista, or if I just got lucky. Either way I am relieved.

I've been having the same issues for the past year and a half. I've spent 6-8months trying to figure it out. Went to various Itunes stores with pictures on my Iphone per each step so I could relay all information that I'd come across and the personnel were less than helpful, after conversations that would sometimes last an hour between myself, employees and managers they always came back to "simply uninstall then reinstall" when I told them for the thousanth time that I've done that multiple times and my errors are happening while trying to reinstall it they act stumped and say "well then I'm not sure, I'll give you a call if I figure it out" and disappear. I've been very disatisfied at the lack of support from Apple and if Android to piece together a reletively reliable phone I'd switch to them in a heartbeat. I'll follow this question incase someone can answer this, but I don't have much faith.
BTW, wifey has Windows 7 running on the laptop and my phone syncs just fine to that and no trouble with itunes, just mine (desktop).

Cannot access Adobe Folio Builder using Indesign (CS6) on Windows 7, error message is 'An error has occured while trying to sign in to the Folio Builder Panel' [IMS_ERROR_FAILURE]

Yes, I can open the DPS portal via the Folio Builder panel within InDesign. Although I have created Folios locally within InDesign CS6, the DPS portal is empty and everthing greyed out with just the text "There are no folios to display. Create folios with the folio builder in InDesign".
If I try to sign in within the Folio Builder panel in InDesign, I get the error message [IMS_ERROR_FAILURE] . In addition I am also not able to access the "Help" menu from within InDesign although I am connected to the internet.
To complicate it even further, I am working in the UK whereas all internet control (firewall) and licences are handeled by head office in Germany. I am not sure if this is a firwewall issue or not but if the IT department in Germany could get support from Adobe to understand the access requirements, this may help.
Hopefully using the forum someone out there will know the answer.

Exactly the same problem here. As far as I can see this problem has been around since Match was first released with no action from Apple to rectify it. I've spent days trying to get this to work now and unless I get a fix soon, I'm going to pull my Match membership and ask for a refund because this is not what I signed up for...

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

Right click your document, hover over "Open with..." and then click "Other".
Find TextEdit and click "Open".
TextEdit will then do it's best to open your document.
If you have iLife, do the same but instead of opening with TextEdit open with Numbers, Pages, Keynote, e.t.c.
