Can't recovery iPhone 4S even in DFU mode

My I phone stuck in recovery mode and can't boot after blackout during iOS upgrade.
I put it in DFU mode and trying to restore via itunes.
It go through every steps just that progress bar stuck at 10% after I leave it over night.
Is there a way to resolve this by myself since there's no apple store in my current area.

fixed by manually download ipsw file then hold shift key+click restore in itune (DFU mode)
make sure to double check ipsw hash value since there are many sources of them and seem like I download the corrupted one before.
wondering why itunes let its pass verification and try to restore with that.

i have iphone 4 i update my iphone 4 into ios 7 .1.2 now my iphone only start in dfu mode my iphone cant start normally .please tell me what is reason its not start normally .

Turn your device off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your device and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a device in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings.

actually its not in DFU which is suppose to be a black screen.  When it powers on there is an image of Itunes logo and the usb cord.  What happened is I did an update before I backed up my photos the phone worked great after the update no issues till it powered off.  When I turned it on again it had those two icons and was forcing me to sync with Itunes to system default which will wipe out my media.
Have you heard of any data recovery services

  • Iphone 4s Stuck in Dfu Mode and Itunes and tiny umbrella dont regnoize

So a couple of weeks ago i put my Iphone 4s Into Dfu Mode. It was not plugged into the computer when I put it into Dfu Mode. The apple logo appeared and then the screen turned black. I Reinstalled itunes updateded it and tried it on 2 diffrent computers. Nothing is wrong with the sync cable nor the iphone's hardware. For some reason itunes does not regnoize the Iphone. I tried to get it out of Dfu Mode but it didnt work. I can press a combo of buttons but nothing happens. It stays black. Iphone does not have any hardware problems because it was working perfectly fine before i put it in Dfu Mode and the syncing cables work 100% because i can connect my ipod to itunes and itunes rengoizes my ipod. Is there any solutions? +Tiny Umbrella and RedSn0w Does not regnoize it either.

Use TinyUmbtrella or Redsn0w to kick it out of DFU Mode. Then just restore it through iTunes if you want.

  • Iphone 3g goes into DFU mode by it's self

    hi guys
my iphone 3g goes into DFU mode by it's self is there someone who knows what should i do for it?
by the way i made a restore and updates and everything possible i thought maybe there was an application pushing it to go in dfu mode so i left only the necessary apps but still the same it goes off when someone calls me they hear the ringing like if it's on i connect it to the pc and it's detected as dfu mode!!

from a back up of course otherwise i'll loose all my informations as contacts, mails,...etc
to be more clear last thing i did is:
it was running on os 4.0 so i did update it to 4.2 then restored it from the back up

  • Iphone 3gs stuck in DFU mode and can't be restored!

I bought my iphone 3gs in the states. And I jailbreak it because I'm not an AT&T customer. One day the phone just put itself into the DFU mode! I didn't do anything. So it's black screen. I tried to restore my iphone but I can't. During the restore process, my phone will be white screen for a while and then turn back to black screen again. And then itunes will show the message that my iphone can't be restored. Then I get the error code, sometimes it's 1618, sometimes it's 28 and it even shows 20000 for a few times. But mostly 28, I couldn't find 1618 and 20000 in apple online manual. I check the manual and it seems like 28 represent there's an hardware issue...

Ohh...... what if I take it to Apple store and ask them to fix my iPhone, will they be able to fix it??
Unlikely, The warrantee for US iPhones is valid in only the US, and not for jailbroken ones anywhere.
If it's just a software problem, any fix would probable involve a restore which would install 4.1, so it would relock to AT&T.
If you know someone in the US, they could try an Apple store there. If it's a hardware problem, they might replace it, but the replacement would be locked to AT&T.

  • IPhone 4S stuck at DFU mode, can't exit, can't restore, can't boot.

    Ok so,
My iPhone 4S wouldn't boot up one day, so I decided to restore it using iTunes. First attempt was unsuccesfull, but I did it the second time. The next day it wouldn't boot up again (probably cause I restored an iTunes backup I made before). So I decided to restore it again, but after 100 attempts (literally) it wouldn't restore. ITunes is stuck on "Waiting for iPhone" screen, and the progress bar on the phone is stuck at 0%, not moving at all! According to tinyumbrella, my iPhone is in DFU mode, but I get a black screen and I can't boot up. I was using iOS 6.1.3 and I WAS NOT JAILBROKEN!
Things I tried but didn't work:
    - Holding home button and power button together in all possible ways.
    - Trying the "Fix recovery" option in tinyumbrella.
    - Holding home button before plugging in the phone to the pc.
    - Redownloading iOS 7 off the internet and trying to restore it via iTunes.
    - Using 3 different computers (1 desktop and 2 laptops).
    - Disabling my anti virus and firewall.
    - Using REC BOOT to enter / exit recovery.
    - Trying to recharge the phone, but it wouldn't do a thing.
    - Restarting my pc.
    - Let my iPhone off for 10 or more hours.
    - Removing SIM card before trying to restore.
    - Redownloading iTunes and updating it.
    - TRYING 100 TIMES THE "Update and restore" OPTION IN ITUNES 11.
I did nothing wrong, it suddenly decided to stop responding and to stop powering up. People get this when they're jaibroken but I wasn't. It's been 2 months more than 45 days of me trying to fix it, but no luck .
    Please HELP!

I actually got it for 2 euros from a prize machine at my local mall . That was like 4-5 months ago but I never experienced any problems with it. You could tell the iphone was original, so it wasn't fake...

  • IPhone will not update (error code 1) will not restore even in DFU mode (error code 1)

I bought the iPhone 4S from a friend, and I came to wiping it manually from the handset, no problems found however during the initial steps the iPhone was unable to validate on the apple servers (with the carrier stuck on searching). So, I plugged the phone into my trusty laptop installed Itunes fresh and proceeded to restore. The process gets to the later part of the validation and throws up an Error Code 1.
I'm aware (from searches across the internet) that error code 1 is typically found in phones with tampered hardware/software e.g. Jailbreak, unlock etc. My friend is not tech savvy and doesnt have a clue about these things so I'm sure the phone is 'as is'.
So i proceeded to troubleshoot the issue:
I edited my hosts file to point to the apple validation server (and checked it allowed connections to gs.apple.com within my browser - successful).
Now as the handset is stuck in recovery mode (with the usb and apple logo) I tried to restore via regular Recovery mode - no sucess (error 1)
Entered the phone into DFU mode (which, in essence ALL of google preaches is the way to restore regardless of issue) same error occurred.
So i looked into 3rd party applications that could force it to restore or perhaps allow a functional end product.
Redsnow (latest edition only provides restore for up to iOS 6.1.somethingorother) that produced a dead end.
Pangu restore facility (latest edition for iOS 7/some 8 models) hanged at the same place as the apple loader.
I've tried flushing my DNS cache, and verified the Date/time on my computer and router is correct.
I refuse to accept the phone is nonfunctional but am rapidly running out of ideas as how to
    a) restore it to the iOS it initially had
    b) update it forcefully and have iOS 8
    c) install a custom rom in the hope some fuctionality exists enough to restore it again.
Please inform me of any suggestions you might have,
    regards Jack.
PS. Further information; This has been attempted on 2 seperate windows workstations both running windows 8.1 up to date.
The USB cable is an unofficial one but has caused no issues in the past on another iphone that ive restored.

Do you have the latest version of iTunes? Did you check for anti-virus software? One of the sections talks about interference from anti-virus software and firewalls. Also, you should not have to make any changes to your Host file unless your computer has been used to jailbreak a phone. I worry because you were using a number of software applications that are designed for jailbreaking devices. Excerpt from this support document. • My iPhone 3GS restarts repeatedly. Cannot be restored even in DFU Mode Restore.

My iPhone 3GS crashed and restarted on its own while running the Pandora app while plugged into a USB and charging. After it would finish starting up, it would say "activation required", as well as showing "no service" where there should have been service available. It would then restart after about 30 seconds to a minute. It would do this repeatedly in an endless loop of restarts.
I tried to do the "DFU Mode Restore" by holding the power and home buttons for 10 seconds, then holding the home button only until it connected to iTunes. The phone did have the black screen, and iTunes told me that the phone was in recovery mode and needed to be restored to be usable. The restore seems to complete, but in the end it fails. It says, "the iPhone "Iphone" could not be restored. An unknown error has occured (1)." It just leaves me with a screen showing that I should connect to iTunes with a USB cable.
Also, it shows no information on the phone in iTunes (capacity, software version, and serial number all show up as "n/a").

  • I can't restore my Ipod touch 4G, even in DFU mode, i get an error 28, what do i do?

I tried yo restore but i get an error 28, i already have the latsest version of itune and i tried with 2 differents USB cables in 4 different USBs.
Even DFU mode don't work (stille getting that error 28).
Sorry for my bad English an thanks for your help.

Not a good error, could be a hardware problem.
Error 23, 28, 29: These errors may indicate a hardware issue with your device. Follow the steps in this article. Also attempt to restore while connected with the white USB Dock Connector cable that shipped with your device, on a known good computer and network to isolate this issue to the device. The MAC address being missing or the IMEI being the default value, (00 499901 064000 0), can also confirm a hardware issue. Out-of-date or incorrectly configured security software can also cause these errors.

  • Can I still retrieve my data in iPhone 4s stuck in DFU mode?

My iPhone 4s was suddenly ended in DFU loop. I already talked to Apple store and their only solution is to replace another new one for me. However, I still have a lot of information and photo in that phone which I didn't backup, so I hope I can retrieve the data using some softwares. Unforturnately nothing worked so far: Dr.Fone, TinyUmbrella, Recboot, etc. Here comes fundamental question: Can I still retrieve/access data in iPhone 4s that is stuck in DFU mode (with device ID: 0x1227)? If yes, which tool can help me?
    Thanks

i updated my iphone 4 to ios 7 but then it keep turning on and off at the apple logo. My friend said that it is stuck on DFU mode and i have to connect it to itunes but now the problem is my phone cant connect to itunes

    Hi akitestry,
If your iPhone 4 will not start up past the Apple logo, you should troubleshoot using the steps in this article -
iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3281
    In particular -
    5. If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes:
Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane. Learn more about restoring iOS software.
If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try to force the device into recovery mode, and then restore it.
    6. If the above steps do not resolve the issue, contact Apple.
