Can't redeem giftcard at App Store
I was surprised to find that I could not redeem an App Store gift card at the Mac App Store. OK, I didn't read the fine print but as I only have one account and Apple charges the same card wherever I buy something, I assumed I could use their card anywhere too. Caveat Emptor!
There is a "redeem" for an iTunes card in the Mac App Store. It's on the right side of the home page, under Quick Links. Did you not find the link, or are you trying that and having problems and if so what, exactly?

On each film's description page in the store there should be a list of the language(s) and/or subtitles that it has on it e.g. here in the UK one of the new releases, Svengali, has listed on its description page :
If there is a particular film that you would like to buy in a particular language that is not currently available in the Swiss store then you can try requesting that it be added, but unless the Swiss rights-holder for the film agrees to it then Apple won't be able to sell it there : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html
All iTunes gift cards are country-specific, so you will only be able to redeem and use the Spanish gift card when you are in Spain with a Spanish billing address on your account. -
Can I pay off my App Store past due balance from a game ex.(candy crush) using an iTunes card or do I have to pay via credit card/PayPal?

buying gems from a game I played since my paypal account cant cover it I can no longer download any apps til the bill is paid I have already purchased an iTunes card that comes with redeem code. Did I buy the wrong card or is it possible to pay bill using itines card ?Prepaid cards or gift certificates should clear the balance, yes. You could also put in a credit card to pay off the balance, then remove the card information once the balance has been cleared.

My new iPhone 4S (week old) can't connect to iTunes, App Store or iBooks via Wi-Fi (and some other apps e.g. Hollister – but most of the other apps like Safari or ebay work fine). There is no problem with those apps loading via 3G network. When I turn off the wi-fi, it runs over 3G and i can access App store without any problem. When i turn off the 3G network and turn the Wi-Fi on, those apps like App Store won't work, other apps work fine. When i turn on both Wi-Fi and 3G, the App store (and so on) is also not working, other apps are.
I also found out that when the Wi-fi is on and I sign out my apple ID, the App store starts working! But when I log in again, it will imediatelly stop working. I've tried logging in with others apple IDs, still with the same result. There is no problem with my apple ID account, because it works on my iPad, even via Wi-Fi.
When i first set up my iPhone, there were no complications using App store ia Wi-fi with exactly the same account. I don't know if it has anything to do with it, but this problem started when i logged in with my UK account and then wanted to log back in with my Czech account.
I tried turning it off, hard reset and deleting my iPhone several time (even without back up). Nothing worked since then.
Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?
I would really appreciate ANY help. This porblem is driving me crazy!I am also having the same issue. Please help!

can't download anything from app store or itunes. everytime i try to install an app i get this error "there is a billing problem with a previous purchase. please update ur payment method". i have recently changed my visa debit card and home adress and when i make these changes i still get the same error.

I have a new ipad and everything works but can't connect to the app store. Itunes works and the wifi seems to be working but i get a blank white screen when i open the appstore. Nothing will load unter the features or charts tab so i cant download any apps. Purchased and updates tab loads fine. Any suggestions?

Can't open Preview/Calendar/App store/iBooks/Terminal/Mail after updated to Mavericks
After I updated to Mavericks, I can not open Preview, Dictionary, App Store, iBooks, Keynotes, Photobooth, Quicktime, Contact, Calender, etc...
Mail keeps crashing everything I opened it.
iTunes and Safari is still working. Can someone tell me what's happening and how to solve my problem? Thanks a lot!
BTW, I remeber this symptom happened after I used Cleanmymac.Evi, I have the same problem. When I first updated to Mavericks, everything is OK, but I use Cleanmymac too, It is may be because of Cleanmymac, it cleaned about 1G files.
Now I can not open App Store, how can I download and reinstall Mavericks? -
if i factory reset my ipod touch(5th gen), can i reset it to the option 'set up as a new ipod', and then i can just go into the app store/itunes store and log into my apple ID so i can just restore my music and apps and not icloud with photos, contacts, ect. and then later i can add contacts that i need/want instead of them restoring them from icloud?
The reason i asked this question is because i have been wondering this a lot ever since i got an exchange on this ipod (and ive only had it for a few weeks now) because my last ipod had a lot of problems. so after i restored my ipod with my computer/itunes, i downloaded apps that i wanted, and then when i went to the storage to see how much storage was left, it said 0 bytes. i was freaking out because i didnt know how that could be, i mean, cause like, that is impossible when i just 'purchased' it, that the space was full but i looked and all my pictures were on this ipod and i already put them on my computer so i dont need them anymore thats why i wanna reset it now so there is nothing on it so i can have more space for stuff to do and download on it.
it is updated to iOS 8 but that happened when i purchased it, so i didnt have a choice to update it even though i didnt want to update to iOS 8...

-sierraHey Sierra, You can do just what you have stated. My question, what is your "other"? If it is over 1.5 GB you most likely have corrupt files. Doing a Restore to New, Factory restore should correct it. Just make sure you make a full backup of all information on your iPod to your computer before you restore, so you don't lose your stuff, contacts, videos, pictures, non-iTunes music, etc, use the cable and connect with your computer. Then, via cable, connect to your computer, run the Restore to new, don't use your backup. Treat this iPod as if it was your first one ever. When restore is done, set up and add what info you wish to install on this iPod. The music apps etc you purchased should be on your computer, if not you should be able to retrieve purchased apps and music from iTunes. Any music, videos, apps not purchased from iTunes will be lost to you if you do not save them to your computer or the cloud first. When your done, make a current Backup and you should good to go. It is the same for the app store. You are required to have some sort of payment method in the record.

I changed my Apple ID today, and now I can't log into the App store because my devices just prompt for my password, and I am not offered the opportunity to enter the new ID. HELP !
Setting>Store>Apple ID. Tap you old ID and sign out. Sign in with the new one.

How can I re-set the App Store so the Updates will again appear under the Updates tab?

I am running a Macbook Pro (retina). Lately when I launch App Store and click on Updates the software updates for the software on the Macbook do not show up under the Updates tab. However, when I go to the Purchased tab I see there Update buttons next to programs that have updates ready to download.
How can I re-set the App Store so the Updates will again appear under the Updates tab?

All items that you download from the iTunes store are tied to the account that downloaded them, so only that account can download updates to its apps.
If you are referring to apps from the Mac App Store then you will be better off asking in the Using Mac App Store forum (this is the iTunes Store forum). -

HT3843 I install the Genius for Apps and I can no longer access the Apps Store on my I phone
I installed the Genius for Apps on my new IPhone 5 and I can no longer access the App Store and when I tap App Store I just get a white screen with the heading Genius for Apps with a white screen and no active keys.
You can not merge accounts.
Apps are tied to the Apple ID used to download them, you can not transfer them. -

after upgrading to ios 6 i can no longer use the app store on my iPhone, i am unable to install new apps. i chose to fill out the security questions and the problem seems to occur since then. what could be a solution to get the app store working again??
i just contacted apple support and the solution is the following!!!!!
connect the iphone to your computer and open itunes
then click on itunes store at the left side of the screen
then click at the right top side of your itunes screen on your email address (or id that is displayed there in the black bar)
choose log out
then go to the top of the screen with the search option in itunes where you can search in the store and choose an app that you have not yet installed.
then you get the security questions also in itunes, fill the them out and after you have done that you are asked to log in again
now when you install an app that works (it is then on your computer still)
open the app store on your iphone and choose the updates button and install the app from the cloud
now when you install new apps also from the app store on your iphone it works again!!! and you are no longer asked about the security questions
(the other option they told me (that i did not have to use) is: go to settings/general/ all the way at the bottom of the screen choose make new settings restore networksettings and choose yes)
