Can t reduce size of a4 document

I have a pdf files to print on A4 paper, with all other printer it's ok no problem, with my printer canon mf4150 the document is so big that it doesn't fit on 1 page. I have tried Page Scalling but no change.
Tks for your help.

You should be able to click on the name "Mcintosh ML 2" in the bottom half of the above right window, to highlight it, and then click the "Minus" sign in the lower left area below it to Delete that Partition.  THEN "grab" the horizontal line separating the two Partitions in the above window, by placing your cursor over it, and click and "Drag" it down to restore the "Mcintosh ML" partition's size.
Hope this helps

    See Here  >  maclife.com/how_remove_other_data_your_iphone
Other is usually around 1 GB...
A  ' Large Other ' usually indicates Corrupt Data...
First Try a Restore from Backup...
But... if the Large Other Persists, that is an Indicator of Corrupt Data in the Backup...
Then a Restore as New is the way to go...

  • How can I reduce size of a PDF file?

My PDF file is 20MB.  How can I reduce its size?

I used the"File > Save as Other > Reduced Size PDF" method and reduced a 4 MB pdf down to about 2.7 MB.
I then just printed the same file out to the Print PDF (not sure of the exact name) print driver.  When you install Adobe Acrobat, it adds a virtual printer to your list of available printers.  When you print to it, you don't get an actual print out, you just get a new PDF file.  This method reduced the same 4 MB pdf down to about 1.5 MB.
I find it weird that their Reduced Size PDF method gave inferior results.  Why don't they just have that function do whatever printing to the virtual printer does?

The only way is to compress it into a ZIP or similar file.

  • Can't reduce sizes of apps or wallpaper

can't reduce images from full screen size---no tactile touch on screen

In the meantime I seem to have cleared it by tapping on the screen to get it to go back to the default magnification. I still don't understand why it didn't respond at all when the magnification was set very high.
With Zoom enabled, it is a three finger double tap, hold then drag down to zoom out (drag up to zoom in).
Three finger single tap and hold to drag the screen, not just the window.
Note that this is not the standard zoom on text or pix. It zooms the entire screen (notice the very top bar with iPad and time and battery go away).

  • How can I reduce size of photo but leave it in my iPhoto Library?

I have a bunch of photos that are work related that I don't need at full resolution but don't want to delete out of my library so I can search for them by how I've tagged them.
Is there any way to reduce the size of the original photo within iPhoto and leave it in the library?

No. iPhoto stores the original untouched and then makes copies of them. If you want a smaller original then you have to take it out of the library, edit it to be smaller, then put it back into the library.

  • How can I reduce size of Highest level disc Library?

I'm trying to reclaim space on my hard drive and have backed up everything I can work without on a daily basis, to another drive and erased it from my internal drive.
My Library is 39 gigabytes and my drive about 100G (92 per About the Mac). This is the library at the top level of the disc along with Applications, Developer, System and Users folders. (My user library is only 1.67G, and my System Library is 3.77G) Is there some way to reduce the size of this file without creating more problems?
I just realized there are THREE libraries on my Mac, not two so I'm really confused about the specific function of each level library.

Gee, and I thought my /Library was a bit excessive at 15GBs! I would guess you have a whole lot of support files in there for some programs. If you don't use the program, for instance GarageBand, you can remove its support files. Open the /Library folder, put it into List view, then go to View menu and check the Size column and, at the bottom, check calculate all sizes. Now click the Size column header and the items will be arranged by size. Click the disclosure triangle in front of a folder to see its contents, which will also be arranged by size, and see where all the stuff is. In my /Library folder the biggest sub-folder is Audio, at almost 8GBs. Most of that is taken up by the sub-folder Apple Loops, and most of the loops are for SoundTrack Pro. Next biggest is Application Support, which has 2GBs of sound files for GarageBand. Then comes Printers, which I have trimmed down to 2GBs by tossing all the support files for printers I don't own and have no intention of ever buying under any circumstances (Lexmark and HP for example). And so on. Investigate to see what you've got in the /Library folder, and whether the things that are there are for programs you actually use.

  • How can I reduce size of phote file?

I need to upload copies of bank statement to Paypal. I took pics of my statements and need to upload them now. Each photo is 1.4 MB in size and I can only upload 4078kb in total. How can I make the file sizes smaller so I can send them. Thanks in advance, Tracy

The Preview application (should be in your Applications folder) can do this. Open the picture in Preview, go to the File menu and select Save As. Just below where it says Format, there should be a slider bar labeled Quality. You can reduce the quality to get a smaller file size, then save. Be sure you save with a different file name if you don't want your old, full quality file replaced by the new one.
    Hope this helps you.

  • Cannot close nor reduce size of working document window.

Illustrator CS3 on Mac OS X 10.5.5. Somehow my window has become large enough to cover the entire screen to where the red/yellow/green dots in the upper left corner are covered by my Apple menu bar and the square in the bottom right corner used to click and drag for resizing no longer has the diagonal lines across the lower half and will not allow me to use that function. Every new and existing document window opens in this size and format. Adobe will not help because it's CS3. Can anyone please help me with this problem. I cannot see my palettes or panels while working.

You both are so brilliant and appreciated!!! THANK YOU. Was afraid to touch preferences not knowing what I'm doing. The hitting 'F' worked perfectly. Only had to do it twice. New windows open fine as do existing. Many thanks to both from an artist who knows only what she needs to create and wants it to remain that way. Bless you.

  • How can I reduce size of the SYSTEM datafile?

    Hi All,
I recently installed Oracle 9i Enterprise addition on Windows XP Pro. Everything went smoothly. However, I foolishly created a database with large space requirements in the default tablespace (SYSTEM) and this caused the datafile for the SYSTEM tables space to grow to 8 Gig. I dropped the tables and tried to shrink the datafile with the 'alter database datafile resize' command but the command failed indicating that the tablespace had data byond the reize amount. However, this is claerly not true since the OEM indicates that the tablespace is only 4% utilized.
How can I reset the high water mark for the SYSTEM tablespace so that I can resize the datafile?

How can I reset the high water mark for the SYSTEM tablespace so that I can resize the datafile? at one time (perhaps during the install) the extents may have been used and although you see only 4% used those extents have been allocated nonetheless.
you'll have to rebuild the db if you can't resize the system ts
to reset the high water mark you would have to truncate the system tables, don't think you want to do that

  • How can I reduce size of fonts to use passcode

How can I open iphone 5s when fonts are too large

Double tap the screen with three fingers to un-zoom it.
You might want to go into Settings>General>Accessibility and turn zoom off after you get in, if this is an issue. But the double tap with three fingers will allow you to zoom and un-zoom at will if you leave it on.
    Your choice!

  • One page displays as negative image when saving PDF to reduced size in Preview

    Imac Intel Mid 2007
    OS X 10.5.8
    Preview v4.2
I have a multi-page PDF I'm trying to save to a reduced size.
The document was constructed of separate pages, some of which were created as Photoshop PDFs in Photoshop CS4 and others were saved as PDF's from Word.  After moving over the individual PDF's to the side bar, the document saves fine in Preview at full size. When I use the quartz filter to "Save As"  "Reduced File Size" one page saves as a negative image and the others are all fine.
One suggestion I saw in a similar thread was that the mode in PS might be CMYK, however it is not and it is RGB.
Any help as to solving this would be greatly appreciated.

    JPEG is single-page.
If I print and choose 'pdf to jpeg'
    Elaborate, please.
Is there a way to save to pages out in one go to jpeg where I can adjust the dpi setting?
Yes. Build an Automator workflow using the PDFs > Render PDF Pages as Images action.
Once I have the reduced jpegs it's easy enough to reimport into preview and save as a pdf.
If the desired final output is multi-page PDF, no need to go through all that. You can do the task in Acrobat Pro (PDF Optimizer), or in Preview (Save as > PDF > Quartz Filter). If the current Reduce File Size filter doesn't provide satisfactory quality, use ColorSync Utility to duplicate it (or make a new filter from scratch) and adjust it to fit your needs.

  • Can I preset the default save feature in Acrobat 10 to save a MS Word document as a "REDUCED SIZE PDF"?

I use MS Word for Mac 2011 to create documents and quotations. I'm using Adobe Acrobat Pro 10.1.12 on a MAC. I want to save the MS Word file as a "REDUCED SIZE PDF" first, without having to first save it as a normal PDF, then re-save it as the reduced size. How would I do this?? Can this be preset as my default>

You cannot. Because this option both takes much longer and reduces the quality of files, it has to be chosen specifically.
In any case, when you save a PDF file from Word. this process does not involve Acrobat or Adobe software in any way.
