Can't register Photoshop.

Error message says "Please connect to internet and retry" but computer is connected to internet (via Firefox as default browser). How can I register?

    You need to contact Adobe Support either by chat or via phone when you have serial number and activation issues.

    My guess is that you won't be able to do much if you threw away the serial number before using it.  The serial number will not have been externally visible on the box though... doing that would make it available for use by anyone who sees the box in any store.

    If you remain unable to locate the serial number you might need to head back to wherever you purchased the product to confirm whether or not you might have thrown out the serial number or if it could even possibly have never been provided.

    Cloud programs do not use serial numbers... you log in to your paid Cloud account to download & install & activate... you MAY need to log out of the Cloud and restart your computer and log back in to the Cloud for things to work

    Along with Trevor's important questions, I have a few more, please:
    Did you buy Ps directly from Adobe (the Adobe Store), or from a certified reseller, such as directly from Amazon?
    Did you buy Ps with physical media, or as a download?
    If the former, did you get the S/N from the envelope that the media came in?
    If the latter, did you get the S/N directly via e-mail from Adobe?
    Do you get any error messages?
    If so, what is the exact text of each one?
    When you say "register," do you mean Activation, or actually registering with Adobe?

If they're still available there, save the downloads this time, don't just run them, since adobe only makes those available for about 3 years.

    Recently I registered Photoshop CS2 product I bought in 2005, and as mentioned in the adobe leaflet documentation that came with the software there is a complimentary benefit after registration of either a free Garamond Premier Pro Font, 2 Free issues of Photoshop User,  a Layers magazine, or 60 minutes of additional video training. While I assume I registered the software previously I registered again, but did not receive a link to the complimentary benefit via email. I save all my photoshop files, but as I do not have the compilmentary benefit as mentioned above on my PC, I would appreciate any info on receiving it.

    My thinking is that it is too late for the benefit. All you can do is call cutomer support and see if they will honor it. But they would have to go back in their records four years just to find out. For all I know they could keep all their old records in a warehouse someplace. So they may just feel generous and give you the benefit or say your out of luck.

  • Creative Mixer 'can't register tray icon' after updating dri

    I have Soundblaster 6pci and was having problems with 'warbled' sound. I updated the driver and now every time I reboot, I keep getting the error "Creative Mixer can't register tray icon" and the arrow by my startup programs won't appear. The mixer is checked in msconfig. If I do a system restore or reinstall the old driver, the mixer starts on reboot, but then I have no sound. Even doing a clean reinstall of the original driver doesn't repair the sound.
    Any suggestions?

    The app will be in following folder:
    Win:Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC
    Mac:Applications /Adobe Photoshop CC
    If it not there Run the Cleaner tool to remove Ps CC :http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html . Restart your system and then try installing Ps again from CC app.

    I thought I read that you can run them one at a time, I installed on lap top first and registered just fine then installed on desktop and on start up of photoshop CC it is telling me to register photoshop?  can I do this?

    You can have a maximum of two installs. Can be PC/PC, Mac/PC or Mac/Mac; any combo.
    Should be no need to register as long as you've signed in with your Adobe ID? (Best way to do all this is via the Creative Cloud Desktop app.)

    If you need to find your serial number, sign in to your Adobe account. On the Manage Accounts page that appears, all of your registered products and their serial numbers are listed in the Plans & Products section. For more information on locating serial numbers, or on registering a serial number, please see Find a serial number
    When you no longer need the Adobe software on a computer or you wish to move it to another one, you should deactivate the software. See this link: how to deactivate software. Installation rules will let you install the software on two computers of the same platform (both windows or both mac) but you are limited to running it on only one at a time. If you have only installed it once, you should be able to install it on the other computer.
       If you have already installed the software twice and you don't have access to your previous computer or you upgraded your computer's hardware, replace a hard drive, upgraded your operating system, or reformatted your drive before deactivating your software, you can ask Adobe Support to help you deactivate the software from the machine. Just have your serial number or Adobe ID ready, and then contact support. Then you can install the software from the links below and enter your serial number to re-activate the software.

    I have just re-installed Photoshop 7 (after a few years away from creativity!) on my pc and want to register the product with Adobe.
    the software is fine and running as I remember it fondly, but when I try and add it to my Adobe registered products it states the serial number is wrong.
    the serial number is correct as I had to add it when re-installing the software. it is a series of four digits separated by hyphens and consists of six four digit blocks.
    Can anyone assist or is it simply that I cannot register Photoshop 7.0 because it is an antiquated version?

    Ditto as per my reply to Mylenium, am not folowing this up, just going to use it and enjoy what I create.
    Have used some of the pro versions at work but prefer to stay away from IT there so I have more hunger to work on IT type projects at home... when the pub shuts anyway. Lol.

    I have purchased Photoshop Elements 13. During installation Photoshop Elements askes me to register first, but it can't make connection to the internet. I have shut dow the firewall and the virus scanner. When I press register later PSE opens and signes me in with myAdobe account. How can I register? I have instaaled it on this computer, so internet connection is valid

  • I can't register my products.

    I have a creative cloud student subscription which is valid for a year.
    I have also the serial (which I can see in my adobe subscription page), but still I can't register the products I have uploaded from the cloud.
    It says that my serial isn't correct, although I've cut and pasted it from my adobe page!
    I only get to use trial versions, which are valid only for 7 days now.
    What is the problem? :/

    I just tried to use in design, and it asks me to sign in with my adobe id.
    And when I try to sign in, it asks me to give a serial.
    With illustrator I have no problem, but photoshop, indesign and dw don't work ok.
    Should I just remove those and upload them again?

  • Old computer crashed, can't unregister it, so I can't register on NEW computer

    My old computer's harddrive crashed, got it replaced, reinstalled photoshop elements.. then later crashed again due to other issues. I cannot un-register it due to other hardware issues, doesn't work... so I cannot register this product on my new computer. Is there another way to UN-register from the other computer?

    I cant activate on the new computer, without deactivating the registration 
    on the old computers........
