Can't reinstall Facebook Symbian on 5230

Hey all
I did a little board search but couldn't find the answer I need.
My predicament is this; My 5230 came wih Facebook for Symbian preinstalled but through human error I accidentally uninstalled it.
The problem is that Ovi store remains adamant that the 5230 can't run Facebook Symbian so I can't reinstall it again.
Does anyone know of a work-around/solution?

Just go here: http://www.nokiasymbianthemes.com/free-mobile-applications/facebook-application-nokia
Download the .sis file. Install it using Nokia Ovi Suite and into your phone! Easy as that.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to upgrade your 5230 with Symbian Belle. Only the Symbian ^3 can be updated with Symbian Belle and your phone being a S60 it's not possible.

First try delete the app and reinstalling it
second the new IOS 6 is going to have facebook on it and that might be why you cant get on to your account (not sure just a thought)

Hello everyone,
I accidentally deleted the facebook app on my q10 and I can not reinstall it. I redownloaded the application from blackberry world, have turned the thing off numerous times, removed the battery and still upon start up there is no option within the hub settings to reinstall a facebook account.
Is there a solution to this? I can't imagine that there wouldn't be... When I try to reinstall the app, it says i need to "re-login" to which I hit "ok" and then it takes me to account settings>add new account> but there is no option to add a facebook account.. only evernote, email and calendar

doesn't matter what iphone you have, the issue isn't your phone, but with facebook, either contact the app devloper or look at their support site to troubleshoot. Or leave them a review stating your issue.

I can't reinstall software

I buy used 3250 several weeks ago. Now I want to reinstall software (symbian) on my mobile phone because there are some damaged programs in my phone.
I have installed nokia software updater, but I can't reinstall software on my phone. NSU display error: "Your phone already has the lastest supported software. No update needed." This is screenshot: http://i34.tinypic.com/2qamk3o.jpg

I had the same prob with the NSU..You can't do anything with it, the only thing is to wait for the next update. Maybe if there's another software update application...

How can I reinstall JAVA on Mountain Lion?

The last Java Update screwed up Java on Mountain Lion. Thanks a lot, Apple. This is where blinking/flashing images etc etc start, and it also affects the three-finger word-look-up gesture. I compared my mac running Facebook in Safari with one in an AppleStore and the one in the shop renders the Java stuff flawlessly -- no blinking or flashing graphics, and the three-finger tap gesture works perfectly. Both macs were running the same version of Java, OS X and Safari.
If I turn off Javascript and Java (in Safari) I don't get the flashing images and three-finger-tap works.
So my question is (after reading similar threads of the same topic): IS there any one-click solution to this -- can I reinstall Java, or do I have to re-install Mountain Lion... JUST to get Java working again??!?
And per the above.. why ISN'T there a standalone Java re-installer for OS X? How difficult could it be??

That's where you can download the standalone installer!! I did it, ran it, and it works. Solved all the problems I've been having.

mine did the same. Had to conect to my pc and itunes, uninstalled and deleted it from iphone first then connected to itunes and reinstalled facebook. works ok now but has gone back to an older version. apps store still show facebook 6.7.1 update, tried again and same thing happened. had to uninstall and reload via itunes again.

Can't launch Facebook or AIM?

Just got my iPhone-seems to work great (actually posting from it now).
Did my first iTunes sync to get some music & now I can't launch Facebook or AIM. They start to launch, then I'm suddenly back on the home screen showig all the apps.

when you tried to save did facebook ask you permission to access to the camera roll?
if not close and open facebook and try to save a picture and see if it pops with the question.
if it doesn't, goto settings>privacy>photos and see if facebook is added there,
if it's added and not enabled, enable it.
if everything mentioned above fails, do a reset by holding the power and home button until the apple logo appears ignoring the slide the switch off and try again to save it

I do not mean the entire ITunes folder but, rather, the contents of the ITunes folder prior to September 29th. (90% of the media is missing, along with all playlists) The media that remains says it was added on 9/29 although I know most of it was added many months or even years earlier. There are no playlists listed at all, before or after 9/29. (I know for certain that I added non-iTunes purchased songs on 10/6 although I had not created playlists for them)
I have my iTunes folder backed up on both an external drive as well as Time Machine.
I run iTunes off of an ITunes folder on my computer rather than from the external, if that's what you mean about how I have it set up.
Is it OK to drag the entire iTunes folder from the external drive onto my laptop's drive and see if that fixes it?

Upgraded to snow leopard, now browsing SLOW can I reinstall?

I wasn't having any real problems with Leopard, but when Chrome stopped updating flash for it, I decided what the heck, I'll upgrade (against my better judgement).
So, I ordered my Snow Leopard disk directly from apple. Backed up my Mac with Carbonite. Then installed SL on my Mac. At one point it hung up, but after I eventually decided to shut off the computer and restart it, everything appeared fine. I also ran all the updates so my safari is 5.1.7 and my SL is 10.6.8.

Browsing has become horribly slow. I'm always getting the beach ball, and it Chrome and Safari keep becoming nonresponsive. I didn't realize I was supposed to do a REPAIR DISK BEFORE my upgrade. I have run REPAIR DISK several times now. I heard that there were a handful of items that would repeatedly show up as needing to be repaired, even though they are actually ok, BUT I just ran a repair disk AGAIN and there must have been 150 line items to repair. It said it would take 39 minutes. But it actually took about 15.
I realized that "rosetta" was not selected when I installed (but I don't run any windows programs anyway). Also, once when I got hung up in Safari, I was in the Zynga gaming site and multiple windows started showing up telling me to run in 32 bit mode. I tried changing to 32 bit (even though it didn't seem to make sense because I'm not running anything that would require 32 bit) but it made no difference. I've since returned it to 64.
So I'm wondering, Can I REINSTALL Snow Leopard? Since I've done a repair disk again, can I just stick the disk in and try to install like normal? Do I have to back anything off? I've had my Mac for years, but NEVER had any problems with it, and never had to upgrade so this is new to me. (I was used to Microsoft before, that caused me problems CONSTANTLY, especially needing to upgrade constantly.
BTW, I don't have a LOT of different docs stored on my Mac, just a ton of pictures (which was my reason for needing to make sure it was all backed up).

I've done multiple safari resets. I've also repaired permissions multiple times. So here's what I've done. I did another disk permission repair, then put the snow leopard disk back in and ran the install again. It acted a little odd, for example in the middle of the install the computer shut down and started up again on its own. I just left it. Then, it seemed to be stuck on 1 minute left for a solid 20 minutes, but eventually I got messages that it finished. Then, after doing a repair again I noticed safari was reset back to 4.0, so I ran all the other upgrades. Did repairs between each.
I also noticed that Flash player wasn't upgraded to current, so I did that.
So safari wants to take a while to open now when I click it. I usually get a beach ball. Also happening with Chrome.
I play 2 games on Zynga, and have since discovered that I can't play one of them (rubyblast) anymore because it the brower (doesn't matter if its firefox, chrome or safari) lags.
Is there some way for me to see how much memory these games require, and if that could be my problem? I honestly don't know much about Mac memory. I don't have many applications installed except for what came iwth my computer 4 years ago. I do have a HUGE number of pictures on my mac though (and since iphoto duplicates those pictures, I have nearly double).
Am I missing something? I didn't want to upgrade from Leopard because my Mac ran just fine. I only did so because Chrome dropped support for it. I like using chrome occasionally.
If someone can help I'd appreciate it. I have 3 days left on a carbonite trial (which isn't enough time to restore my Mac if I need to) so I'd like to think I'm just missing a common thing.
