Can't reinstall IPhoto and IMovie after reinstallation of the operative system.

I made and reinstallation of the entire operative system of my Mac. But now having the MAc oS X Lion 10.7.5 I can't reinstall some apps as IPhoto and IMovie. They said I need the 10.9 version.
How am I proceed?
Thanks'

Download Mavericks from the Mac App Store, or install those applications from a DVD; iLife 11 DVDs are available from sources such as Amazon and eBay, and if your computer's incapable of running Mavericks, it'll have come with disks which can be used to install them.

Contact App Store support. There's a link on the right hand side of the App Store Window. They're the only ones who can sort out account issues.

I bought a second hand Macbook Pro and colorful stud
Only after a few months I decided to reformat it
Bad movie started here I did not get it with a disc and I come to install the operating system
And he asks the name of Apple's user ID financed had been bought Lion OS Now
And who sold me does not answer then I found the phone number of his mother
She said he lived in USA and paid him more than the lion version of the MacBook and now I can not install Lion
    And I'm not from USA

Unless you go back to the original owner, yes you need to pay for it again.
You're entitled to the OS that shipped with the device from Apple, but if you don't have that media there's nothing you can really do.  If the system originally shipped with 10.7 or 10.8 then when you boot it to Internet Recovery, it will automatically offer you that OS version (as the serial # is registered with Apple).  If it shipped with an older OS, then you need to enter the Apple ID that purchased 10.7 or 10.8.  You didn't purchase it so that's not you.
The options you have are to buy Lion for $29 US (I don't know the price in Palestine), or Mountain Lion for $19 US (don't know the price in Palestine either), and install from scratch.
And it's a good idea to know you have restore media before you reformat your machine.

MY computer crashed and I had to reload the operating system. I had purchased the export PDF. However, I had not back up since my purchase and it is my understanding that this software is not stored on my computer. The export no longer works, it just keeps circling and the message acts like it is doing it but it circles and never completes. Msg says "uploading file to adobe exportPDF online"

    Hi lisa99vano,
I'm sorry that your computer crashed. That's the worst. But, it shouldn't have affected ExportPDF, since that is an online service (provided you're using a supported web browser, and there's no firewall or proxy preventing ExportPDF from uploading). First, please make sure that you're using a supported web browser: http://www.adobe.com/acom/systemreqs/
Next, I think we should consider the file that you're trying to convert. How big is it? Had you tried converting it before the crash? Does it contain both text and graphics? Do other files convert without issue?
I look forward to hearing back from you with some specifics about the file.
    Best,
    Sara

  • Reinstall iPhoto and iMovie on iPhone 6 and Mac

I was fooling around with some apps and deleted iPhoto and iMovie on my phone, not knowing they would be uninstalled on my Mac.  When I realized this I tried to reinstall them from the app store, both on the phone and Mac and am unable to.  I get the following message in the pic I attached.  Seems quite odd any other app can be reinstalled but these can't.
There's a ton of info online but most seems many years old.  Plus there was a new update today.  Any ideas?

Perform the following, stopping with the first one which works:
    1. Open the Mac App Store's Purchases tab. If you're prompted to accept them into your Apple ID, do so.
    2. Try downloading them for free from their individual product pages. If you're asked to buy them, see #3.
    3. Click here, contact Apple, and wait for a response.
    4. Buy them.

Type or copy paste the following:
    ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Relaunch the App Store and try updating your apps.

  • Can't get iPhoto and iMovie to download and install

I upgraded to MacOS 10.7.4 and purchased through iTunes the latest versions of iPhoto and iMovie. I'm not able to download them, much less able to install them. Help!

  • Can't update iPhoto and iMovie.

I recently purchased a Macbook Pro Retina, and once everything was set up, the Mac App store tells me I have updates for iPhoto and iMovie. However, when I tried updating them, I get the follwong message: You have updates available for other accounts. To update this application, sign in to the account you used to purchase it.
I only have one iTunes account for the past several years, and I just bought this laptop. Anyone have any solutions?

    Might be pirated apps...
Try the suggetion here >  “You have updates available for other accounts” bug
If that doesn't help, report the issue to Apple using the email form here >  Mac App Store - Contact Support

  • Re-installing Adobe Lightroom with cd software after re-installing the operating system?

i wiped my computer clean and re-installed the operating system on my macbook pro because it's old and i hadn't done it in a long time. now i'm putting all of my old software back onto the computer. everything else had no problem. adobe lightroom 2 will not let me re-install it and keeps giving me an error message, telling me to contact the software manufacturer. the cd is not damaged at all and i have the serial number for the software, etc... what's wrong? why can't i put it back on my computer? i've done this at least twice before and had no problems.

What version of  Mac you are installing and what is the exact error message ?

  • How can I update iPhoto and iMovie on a different apple id without having to buy the apps again?

I started up my macbook pro 2 years ago using someone else's apple id. I just recently updated my software to OS X Yosemite and now I can't open iPhoto & iMovie.  It says I have to download the latest version. How can I download it using my own apple id without having to purchase it?

Go to the Mac App Store main page, choose Support under Quick Links, contact Apple, and see what they say.

  • Can I put iPhoto and iMovie on my 1TB drive and not my start up drive because it is almost full, and I really do not know what the 1TB is for

I want to use my computer to it's full potential, so how do I keep my startup disk just that and everything else on the state 1TB drive

Are you talking about having a Mac with two hard drives (one SSD)?
Applications should stay on the startup drive and in the applications folder; however, the iPhoto and iTunes libraries could easily be moved to the other drive.
You could also move your Home folder or any space hogging files (other than applications on the second hard drive. If you want to move the libraries:

  • Can not update iPhoto and iMovie

With the OS update, I can no longer open/use iPhoto.  When I try to update in the App Store, I receive this message:
"This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled."
I only have one apple ID, which I have successfully used for every apple computer, ipod and ipad since the ipod 1.  I personally removed the cellophane wrap from the box my macbook air came in, so no one else logged in before me...Can anyone offer a suggestion on getting around this issue?  At the very least, I would like to be able to access my pics in iPhoto.
I am not an IT pro, so if the processes is involved, please provide instructions for dummies!
    Thanks!

  • Can't update iPhoto and iMovie in Mountain Lion

I get this message" To update this application, sign in to the account you used to purchase it"- I have an apple account and have logged out and back on repeatedly, but still get the same message. I just received an new MacBook with iMovie and iPhoto already installed- but not Mountain Lion, so I purchased Mountain Lion, and now seem to be locked out of these updates.
    Any ideas?  Thanks

As fellow User leonieDF noted in another thread:
To upgrade your preinstalled iLife applications you have to accept them as purchased with your AppleID.
Launch the App Store and sign into your account. Then go to the "Purchased" tab. Here the iLife applications should be waiting for you to be accepted. Click the "Accept" button. This will register them to your current account. Now you should be ablet to upgrade them using the App Store.
    See: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4718
Double-click the App Store icon in the dock.
Enter your Apple ID and password.
    Click Purchases.
If you haven't previously accepted your bundled iLife applications within the Mac App Store, you should see your iLife applications appear in the Accept portion of the screen. Click Accept.
You may be asked for your Apple ID and password once again. Your iLife applications now move to the Purchased section. These applications are part of the software that came with your Lion based computer. Your account will not be charged for them. Click Install to complete installation of your applications.
    Hope this helps

  • WHERE CAN I FIND IPHOTO AND IMOVIE FOR THIS OSX?

Where can I find imovie for 10.4.11?

Install it from the computer's original disks or buy an iLife 08 or earlier package from a source such as Amazon or eBay. If you're using a PowerPC Mac with a CPU slower than 1.9GHz, buy iLife 06 or earlier, or iLife 05 if you're on a G3.
