Can't reinstall my OS X Lion because I don't remember the Apple ID and Password
I tried to reset my Macbook Pro but I can't reinstall my OS X Lion because I don't remember the Apple ID and Password I used to register for that laptop, is there another way? Or another way for me to reset my Macbook Pro without the OS X Lion?

My iMac goes to disc utilities on startup, repair disk doesn't cure it and I can't reinstall Mountain Lion because I don't remember my ID and password at the time I bought the software the system isn't accepting my current details and Apple isn't recognising the answers to my security questions. Mountain Lion was introduced in July 2012. Did the people who gifted you possibly use their Apple ID for the purchase of your OS? If you used your own Apple ID, you should have simply used the one you use for all things app store. The problem with any purchase at the app store is: whatever Apple ID was used to purchase, it willl stay tied to that Apple ID forever. And, purchases from the app store are not transferable.
So, you can check with the person(s) who gifted you or spend $20 to buy it - or, if your hardware is compatible with the new OS Mavericks, you could download it and associate it with your Apple ID.
FWIW, according to the licensing agreement, the OS remains the property of Apple and you are only granted a license to run it. -

What model year it the Mac you have? If it is a Late 2011 or newer model then you can first reinstall the Original version of OS X that came on it by using the Online Internet Recovery system. Hold down the Command+Option/Alt+r key at startup and hold them down until you see a Spinning Globe in the center of the screen. From the screen that comes up use Disk Utility to Repartition the drive as one partition aand when that is done close DU and Select Reinstall Mac OS X.
If it is older then a late 2011 model then you will need the Original System disks for that Mac. These can be order from Apple for a small charge. -

It seems that you've been trying to create Apple IDs (even if you thought you were just trying to use one to make an iCloud account) and you have reached the max allowed number of IDs you can create on the device (which is 4 or 5 as I recall). The only way to create yet another one is to use a different device or a computer. No other way around this.
If on the other hand you want to USE an existing one, go to Settings>iCloud and enter that ID. -
How do I delete an old iCloud username and password. I have neither of them anymore and cannot access icloud to change settings. Set up a second username and password but icloud still won't rcognize the my birthdate and security questions answers I've answed. hope somebody else has had this problem. Thanks
If you are unable to remember your password, security questions, don’t have access to your rescue address or are unable to reset your password for whatever reason, your only option is to contact Apple ID Support, upon speaking to an operator you should explain that your problem is related to your Apple ID, this way you will not be charged for assistance, even if you don’t have an AppleCare plan.
The operator will take you through some steps you may have already tried, however they need to be sure they have exhausted all usual approaches before trying to reset your account, so you should try to be helpful and show patience with the procedure.
The operator will need to verify they are speaking to the account holder and may ask you some questions that only the account holder could know, and you will need to answer them if the process is to proceed.
Once the operator has verified your identity they will send a message through to your device which contains an alpha numeric code, which you will need to read back to them.
Once this has been completed they will send an email to your iCloud email address after a period of 24 hours, so you should check that mail is enabled in your devices iCloud settings.
Upon receipt of the email, use the reset link provided to reset your password, after which you should be able to make the adjustments to iCloud that you wish to do. -

If you don't have the Apple ID and password, how did you get Mountain Liomn in the first place? Without the Apple ID and password, you'll need to buy it to download it.

Again, this only affects you if someone *redownloaded* content with a different ID. In my case, I emailed iTunes Store support, explained the situation, and they reset the counter. I recommend you try the same
If you read discussion boards, this is a significant change from a year ago, when Apple told people in the same situation to go f&$# themselves. Clearly it's dawning on them that this is a stupid policy, and my guess is if people keep complaining they'll change it to something more reasonable. Remember, it wasn't that long ago you couldn't re-download content at all.
Apple can't really afford to play hardball on this. Sure, the hardcore fanboys will always say "Thank you sir, may I have another" whatever Apple throws at them, but the rest of us will just switch to Amazon, which has none of these restrictions. -

You have 3 months of care and up to 3 years with paid AppleCare, let them handle it and bring everything in.

How many Apple IDs do you have? The prompt should show you a few letters from the email address to remind you. You can always reset your password using this page:

Resetting the password will require that you have access to the email address associated with the AppleID or that you remember your security questions.
If you cannot reset the password , take it to an Apple Store with your proof of purchase and they may help you.
