Can't remember keychain pw, can i change it to match my login??

A few months back i used the disk install because i couldn't remember my login but didn't know that i needed to change my keychain password as well. So of course when I'm browsing the web, safari asks for a keychain pw, but i can't remember what the initial pw was(which was why i used the disk install in the first place). I usually click 'cancel' twice but it's getting really annoying. So my question is, how can i change my old keychain pw to match my current login pw?

I am assuming you are referring to your Apple account.
If you cannot regain access by yourself, the best solution is to contact Apple.
I suggest going into an Apple Retailer and requesting a password reset.

The keychain with your data is in the old keychain. I think it might be easier to reset iCloud password rather than try to restore the old keychain to recover the password. If you don't use iCloud you can simply sign out and not worry with the password.
Manage your Apple ID - Click on the reset password link.

Hi Gail it is a separate apple id used on my old iphone. I now have a new appleid and password which is functioning though the new phone is bringing up my old apple ID

If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup).
If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present.

You cannot. There is no way to recover or reset the password except to restore the phone as a new device. You cannot even restore from a backup, because the backup contains the Restrictions passcode and will just bring it back. Sorry.

Hi there, when I was trying to purchase an app on my iPod touch it asked me to answer sequroty questions which I did not know the answer to. So now I am not ble to get any apps on the iPod from the app store which is very annoying. This is a must and needs to resolved ASAP. Thanks :)
