Can't remove "cash basis" payment terms

I have created numerous payment terms and have no need for the "cash basis" terms that is part of default SAP.  However, when I try to remove the cash basis payment terms I get an error "cannot remove the payment terms selected".  I already made sure it is not assigned to any of my business partners.

Hi Robert.............
Its not possible to remove the Cash Basis payment terms as it default given by SAP. But you can edit the name as you want.

    Hi Chandra,
If you want to block payment term for "particular vendor" then you need to define a validation rule.
As per my understanding, the link provided by Owen will block term for all vendors.

    Dear,
This problem is often cause due to changing payment term in the document. Use transaction FB03 enter the invoice document got Environment>Document changes. If you see the payment term has been changed then restore the old payment term into the document.

  • Cash Discount  Base Payment Term

    Hi Guru's,
I have a scenario as below based on the 'payment terms', these dicounts are apart from other discount:
If old bills are cleared within 0 days............4%, 0-3 days......2.5%, 3-7 days.......1% discounts are given,
how are these can be configured, can any one help me out urgently please....
    Regards,
    Sachin.V

You can achive this with the functionality of cash discount.
SKTV - Cash Discount before Tax
    SKTO Cash Discount after tax.
You need not maintain any condition records for this. Based on the payment terms applicable in the order, these discounts will be populated in your sales order.
In your pricing procedure, You should have SKTV after Net Value and before Tax calculation. use Requirement 14 and Base value 2. sub total D.
You should have SKTO after Total Value in your pricing procedure. Use Requirement 9 and Base Value 11. Sub total not required.
You can have both the above condition types or any one of them. That depends on your client's requirements.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks

  • Can a vendor have multiple Payment terms?

    Hi
The user has maintained payment terms in MM (MK02) & FI (FK02) and maintained same payment term for Company code. However in BW report for "Purchase statistic per Supplier" does not match with R/3 and some vendor shows multi payment term.
What might be the reason for it?
Your valuable advise and suggestions are appreciated

  • Can't Remove Credit Card Payment Information.

I recently left a family in Family Sharing so that I could disconnect my credit card information from my iTunes account. I had selected 'leave family' and 'stop family sharing', yet when I access my Apple ID via the iTunes App, it still says I am part of a family and denies me the ability to select 'none' under payment information. In my iPod settings, it says I am not part of a family; yet, in iTunes, it says I am.
TL;DR: iTunes thinks I am still part of Family Sharing and won't allow me to remove my credit card payment information.

    Hello StealthBadger25,
After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help in this situation. It contains helpful advice concerning leaving Family Sharing. You may want to review the steps in the article to remove yourself from the account:

  • Reason code and payment terms

    Hi Gurus,
Is there any link between reason codes and payment terms ?
When I am posting a document or creating any residual and assign a reason code, it automatically assign a payment term and which i am unable to change.
any advice, suggestion would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
There is no direct link between Reason Code and Payment terms.
Reason code is the key actually specify the reason for payment difference it can be any reason like DISPUTE - TAX, DISPUTE - IN PRICE, DISPUTE EX - QTY and so on and those we can define.
Where as Payment Term are used to define
    1. Base line date for due date calculation
    2. Cash discount periods
    3. Cash discount percentage rated
And the Payment Term which is coming by default while posting the document is the same one which has been defined in your master data for that customer. So I would suggest you check the master for that customer and surely you will find the same payment term updated there as well.
But it not means that you can not changed Payment term while creating or posting document, you change it and it will supersede you master data payment term.
Hope this will answer your query.

  • Payment term with fixed date

    Dear all,
I want to create a payment term as follows:
    100%, 90 Days on the 10th and 25th.
I created a payment term like this:
    first entry: 'day limit' - 10 days,  'fixed day' field in the "Base line date calculation" column - 10 days  and  'nº of days' - 90 days  second entry (for that same payment term): 'day limit' - 25 days,  'fixed day' field in the "Base line date calculation" column - 25 days and 'nº of days - 90 days;
    third entry (for that same condition term) 'day limit' - 31 days,  'fixed day' field in the "Base line date calculation" column - 10 days and additional month - 1 and 'nº of days - 90 days;
The system is not giving the expected result. For instance, for a customer with that payment term when document date is 30.09.2012 i should obtain payment date like 10.01.2012 but i obtain 08.01.2012.
I need a field wher to fix day of month for payment. Does it exist?
I hope you can help me.
    best regards
    Joana Trigo

    Dear Trigo,
Unfortunatelly the System do not manage week day it only manage dates
in specific, but there are some options that maybe helpful:-
    1. Using the field FIXED DATE:
Fixed calendar date as part of the date on which the first or second
cash discount period ends and/or the date on which the due date for
date net payment (date on which payment of an open item is due net, that
is with cash no discount deduction) is reached.
    2. Could be into Default for baseline date area, not set the indicator
"No default" with this you then have to enter the base date manually
    into your document.
    3.  You have the option "DAY LIMIT":
Day of the month up until which the correspondig terms are valid.
For terms of payment which depend on whether or not the baseline date is
after or before the 15th of the month, you can define a two-part payment
term under the same terms of payment key. The terms of payment key is
expanded by the day limit entered here. Thus there are two
entries in which different terms can be specified.
    For Example:
The following terms of payment require you to enter a day limit:
Documents with an invoice date on or before the 15th of the month
are payable on the last day of the next month.
Documents with an invoice date after the 15th of the month are
payable on the 15th of the month after the next month.

  • Payment terms based on working days

    Dear colleagues
I would like to base payment terms on, for example, the last working day of the month, or the last working day of the trimester instead of working with fixed days.
Would someone know if this is possible and if so, how can that be arranged?

    Dear,
as far as I know, this is not possible into the SAP Standard System.

    Hi,
Execute T Code OBB8 and create a payment term with the following:
In 'Baseline date' calculation section, enter 20 in the 'Fixed day' field.
In 'Payment terms' section's line 1, enter 10 in 'Fixed date' field and 1 in 'Additional months' field.
Should work!  Assign points if your test with the above payment term meets your requirement.

  • Missing Payment Term field on tcode FBR2 Customer Invoice Display

    Hi Experts,
This is a more detailed explanation on the Payment terms field issue we are encountering since last week.
I have some problems with their request that they want to show the payment terms field in the transation code FBR2 - Customer Invoice even if the Sales Area Data for Customer is not maintained but Company Code Payment Terms is maintained. I need help on the configuration on how to show the field.
What I researched is that there are 2 maintainance of Payment Terms Field:one in the Company Code and another in the Sales Area. As I read on some forums, the Payment Terms in Sales Area should be the default when using the SD Process however, the Payment Terms in the Company Code should be the default value when they use FBR2 - Customer Invoice. But thay still cannot see the payment terms field in the Accounting Document they already created.
I already checked in transaction OBC4 the Reconcilliation Account Group and the Payment Terms field is optional there and even the Posting Key 01, which is also optional.
Please help me on this. Thank you.

I did some checking on the past few posting, and I found some posting to the same account also the same tcode FBR2. However, the other one is with posting key 01 - Invoice.
The Problem occurs when we use FBR2 then the posting key is 09 - which is a special g/l posting for the account. How can I check why the "Payment Terms" field is still not displayed or cannot maintain in this transaction?

  • Payment terms on partial payments

    Hi Everyone,
Is there a configuration setting somewhere that copies the payment terms of the original invoice on to the newly created open item. I know for certain that the payment terms can be copied from original invoice on to residual items when paid as a residual payment and this can be done by checking 'Payment terms from Invoice'. So, is there anything similar for partial payments as well? or is that standard in standard?
    Let me know.
    Thanks in advance,
    Kumar

    Hi,
There is definetely a solution to your issue.
    You need to
    1. change the field status of posting key - 25 from suppressed to optional.
    2. Write a subsitution rule for subsituting the payment terms with '*' whenever the document type is KZ.
This way irrespective of you doing a partial payment or residual or a full payment, the payment terms are copied from the invoice.

  • Payment Term changes  in Projects and AR

    Hi,
Currently all our projects are based on single agreement. recently we had to change the payment term for a Customer. Our Receivables group made this change in AR. We were expecting all the Projects invoices would pick up this , when they are interfaced to AR. But later we realized that the Project invoices go by the payment terms within the agreements.
Again, we created a tar and Oracle suggested that we end date the current agreement and create a new one to match the payment term. But the issue is we have 20000 projects and if we want to change the payment terms in mass, then we need to create 20000 agreements and also, in the future , when accounting changes the payment term, the proejct manager may not know, the term has been changes and to change it in the agreement.
Is there a more practical solution for this issue.
    - Vasu -

I will suggest another solution if you are in a version that allow you to define Forms Personnalization.
Instead of updating the transaction in AR Interface table, you can, for instance :
    - enter a payment term for each of your customer at the header level (table hz_customer_profiles, condition site_use_id is null) ;
    - create a Form Personnalization in the Customer Window, so that the Payment Terms is mandatory at the header level ;
    - create a Form Personnalization in the Agreement Window, so that once you enter a new Agreement for a customer, the Forms Personalization retrieves automaticaly the payment terms set up for your customer accordingly
We implemented this solution and it works fine too.
Available for any question about it.

  • Payment term in Invoice (F-43)

I have made 'payment term' mandatory for the customer/vendor account groups.  However, for certain customers which was created earlier, there is no paymen term in the master record.  When I try to create a PO, system asks for a mandatory payment term.  But for the same vendor, when I try to create a FI invoice (F-43) it does not ask for any payment term and the invoice can be posted without a payment term.  Why this is so ?

    Dear:
Setting the payment term mandatory at Account group level make it mandatory for master data creation only. For transaction entries you will have to make changes in Vendor Recon account (go to OBC4...select field status group of vendor recon account ....Materials management..PO ) or in posting key in OB41.
e.g in your case F-43 posting used to credit vendor is 31, You can set PO as mandatory in OB41 for posting key 31 (if you do not want to make it through Recon account field status group). This will do the the job
