Can't remove photo from dashboard...

I recently downloaded the new OS X Mav. and was playing around with it and I somehow added a photo to my dashboard. It is locked in there, which wouldn't be a problem except for it never goes away, even when my dashboard is closed, so it is blocking things on my screen constantly.
I tried going into the dashboard and clicking the - in the lower left corner, all of my widgets had the X come up to delete them except for the photo, it remains locked in place. This is really fruturating because its blocking my sight of things on my screen.

The right click will not pop anything up while in my dock, so that isn't working either.

There are only a few images that I want to delete, not entire albums. I want to avoid syncing the iPad with the new computer, but it's looking like that may be my only option...to delete all of the iTunes synced photos then start from scratch since I still have the original images on my backup drive. Maybe send them to myself in email/through dropbox and save that way so in the future I can delete at will.
I just want to avoid all of that, save myself some time, so I figured I'd do as much asking as possible first.

Make sure those are not smart albums you're trying to remove photos from. As a test launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and check to see if the same problem persists. If it does make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.

3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
NOTE 2: In Lion and Mountain Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.

if sync'd from itunes then unsync
click device name in itunes- click photos- uncheck what you want to remove- apply or sync at bottom

How can i remove photos from my photo stream?

I guess like everyone else I've been messing around with photo stream and adding random pictures to test it out. But I'd like to be able to remove images from photo stream too but for thre life in me I can't find a way to do it. Doe's anyone have any idea/tips? Or has Apple just made a big mistake??

Check Pictures>Photo Stream>My Photo Stream. Note: when you turn it on you will only see photos from the last 30 days as photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days. If you want to stream older photos to your PC, create a shared photo stream containg the photos and invite yourself as a subscriber (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmc0cd7e99).

The only photos stored on icloud are...
1) photos in the camera roll that are included in a backup to icloud. But you can turn off backups of such photos.
Settings>icloud>Storage & Backups>Manage Storage, tap the device's name and on the next screen, be sure Camera Roll is turned OFF if you don't want to store photos in a backup.
2) Photos stored in photo stream. But these do not count against your storage, so it doesn't matter.
That's it. There are no other photos on icloud that you can remove.

I am trying to remove photos on my iphone from an album from but when I remove the photos from the camera roll album they got removed in all the others albums so is htere any way to remove the pics from an album only and not from all the albums?

No. Albums you create on your phone merely contain pointers to the actual photos in your camera roll, not copies of the photos. If you just want the photos in albums, import the photos from your camera roll, delete them from your camera roll, then sync the albums back to your phone.

How can I remove photos from Places on iPhone 3Gs

I would like get rid of the photos on my iPhone that show up when I go to Places in the Photos app on my 3Gs. I've already deleted the photos from iPhoto and resynced. They are no longer in iPhoto nor in my iPhone galleries - but they still show up on the phone under various Pins in Places. How do I get rid of them???

I am not exactly sure how I got pictures on my ipod. I do not have any other software (besides what came with it). ipod do not say i have any pictures on it. How do I remove them from my ipod?

The photos on your nano are controlled by the Preferences.
Have a look and you will see a Photos tab.
Make sure there is nothing selected and re sync your nano.
This shows yo how to get them on there Syncing Photos from Windows
You just need to reverse those instructions to get them off.
It looks like you just need to untick one box.

I can't remove photos from my Ipad

Hello readers,....
I have 842 photos still on my Ipad.
I removed all albums but they are in a hidden folder I can't access.
I can only see them in my Usage bar for my device in Itunes.
Non of the available utilities can remove them.
I've tried sync. from Itunes in all possible ways,....
Can somebody help me out?

Photos/videos in the Camera Roll can be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera. When there are photos/videos in the Camera Roll, the iPhone is also detected as a digital camera when connected to your computer.
Import utilities include an option to delete the photos/videos from camera after the import process is complete. The same applies after importing photos/videos from the iPhone's Camera Roll.
