Can't remove portlet border.

Hi Gurus,
i'm facing some unexpected behavior with a portlet:
The portlet appears in the page with a gray border.
BUT the "show portlet border" checkbox isn't checked in area edit page.
So, what is happening?
And how can i remove the border.
I've already try some stupid things as:
1)check "show portlet border"
2)apply changes
3)Ok
4)edit area
5)uncheck "show portlet border"
6)apply changes
7)Ok
but nothing
Thanks,
Felippe.

The portlet calls a jsp page.
It has been created like all the other, via XML.
It displays the jsp content correctly but the border around the portlet.
When i toggle the checkbox "Show portlet border" it makes no difference at all but the "Show portlet header" does.
Any ideas??
I'm trying to seek some erros in jsp code.
thanks,
Felippe.

  • My new iMac with Yosemite displays photo icons with a white border.  How can I remove this border?

    How can I remove the white border/'frame' around the photo icons, which I store in folders other than iPhoto?
    My computer is an iMac 27" (Late 2014 5K Retina display) with Yosemite 10.10.3.
    The border does not exist on any photos /images created on my MacbookPro (Lion) or any earlier computers.  It appears after importing to the iMac and only then after saving in either Preview or Photoshop Elements.
    I have looked in all "Preferences" but could not find how to remove the border.
    Any advice will be gratefully received.

    Thank you for the reply. I wanted to wait awhile in order to ensure that this corrected the issue. For a brief while, it did! However, it did not take long before the screen began once again hijacking my home button presses. This occurs even with Firefox removed from default applications ( triple-checked ).
    This never happened before version 35.

  • How can i remove the border of TextField

    Hi,first i set the border of textfield in my program now i want to remove this border and want to set the default border.how can i do that.
    thanks

    try this,
    UIManager.put("TextField.border", new EmptyBorder());
    or maybe set the border part to null. I think it works.
    by the way put this line right at the start of your program so that all text fields will be shown without borders.

  • IWord Keynote HELP - can't remove page border line

    I know this sounds simple, but I've just converted over to a Mac from a PC, so bear with me...
    In Keynote, I cannot figure out how to remove the border that appears around the document when I print. The border does NOT show up when I'm in the document, but it appears in print preview and when I print out the document. How do I remove this border from the document?? THANKS

    Thanks for the response. As far as renaming ~/.mozilla, it kept regenerating itself each time I opened Swiftweasel, so I moved ~/.sw35 to ~/.sw000 and then opened it and there was no white line. So I went through one by one installing my add-ons again and, even though I had disabled it and restarted earlier, it turns out that if I don't install "NumExt" it wont have the white line. That's so weird that it didn't do it earlier when I disabled it. Sad, though, since I really liked that extensions. Maybe I'll see if I can edit the file somehow.

  • Can't remove white border/line on left & top of Swiftweasel [Solved]

    As the title states; I cannot remove this persistent white line/border thing at the top and left side of my Swiftweasel (Firefox) web browser. I know there must've been a post about this before but with such familiar/vague keyword combinations such as "white line border swiftweasel / firefox", etc, I couldn't find anything in the Forum or on Google except something to do with certain webpages (which in my case is on ALL pages). Here's a screenshot of what I'm talking about:
    (Swiftweasel is at the top of the screen, in case you couldn't tell. See the white line/border at top/left?)
    I disabled all my extensions and Stylish styles and the white line/border on top & left side are still there. This was an issue on my previous Arch installation as well (not that it has anything to do with Arch itself) but I'm just saying that it's been an issue before for me. Any ideas?   It's just very annoying.
    EDIT:  Solved: read my last post.

  • Can i remove the border around the header?

    the border that is automatically created around the header box is creating an annoying separation between the header and page background.. can i get rid of it?

    Please post some code and/or a link to the page(s) you are talking about. To make sure you get help in the most efficient manner possible, read these posts first:

    Just a wild guess, but if your "header box" is an image that is also a hyperlink, you might want to do a Google search on this very common behavior to find a solution:

  • Removing the border around buttons in a CS Extension

    Hi,
    I'm creating a new extension for Creative Suite, and all  the buttons I have in the extension are using icons, but there is always a border around the button, which I cannot remove. I have tried changing the borderColor to match the background colour of the Extension, but the border is still there.
    I have attached a screen shot of one of the buttons a add button, in the extension so you can see what I mean. This button should just show the plus icon and not have a border around it. How can I remove this border? I'm using CSS to add the icons to the buttons, even using CSS means I can't remove this border.
    Thanks
    Stephen

    My response by email got garbled.
    It should look something like this:
    Button.blankButton{
        upSkin: Embed(source='assets/blank_btn_up.png');
        overSkin: Embed(source='assets/blank_btn_over.png');
        downSkin: Embed(source='assets/blank_btn_down.png');
        disabledSkin: Embed(source='assets/blank_btn_disabled.png');

  • Portlet border

    Can anybody guide me on how to remove the border of a portlet? I do not wnat to show the portlet border in the Guest home page

    The portlet border is controlled through the CSS class .platportletBorder
    View any of the Cascading StyleSheets in\ptimages\imageserver\plumtree\common\public\cssand you should find in the file the following.platportletBorder {border: solid 1px #<somecolor>;}Change this to solid 0px and the border will go away.
    To save you from having to edit all ~180 CSS's.....You will have to investigate how to use CSSMill but it will involve1) A better way to fix this item is to use CSS Mill -- change the portal50.template. -or-2) using the definition of @border.none.thin@ found in the prop-text/<language> files --change the values to border.none.thin=0px3) Regenerate all the stylesheets

  • DreamWeaver Template - How to remove a border?

    Hi Folks,
    I'm a newbie here.
    I decided to use a dreamweaver template to start my website.  I want to remove the border of the template...as well as to make the Left and Right hand side "margins" the same background color as the webpage... can anyone tell me where to start on this?  Thanks for the help,
    Joe

    For myself, the best place to learn about this sort of thing is staring you in the face... I don't like books.  I find that suffering thru solving things is the best way to learn.  The internet is a very good resource, and taking a course or two never hurt me, though I usually had most courses completed by the second class (I couldn't put this stuff down once I started).
    Dreamweaver is just a tool...one of a few fairly decent ones.  Learning how to use it is nice, but the more important things to learn are the languages of web design, which can be overwhelming to catch and keep up with.  For the basics, I'd say you want to get neck deep into HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
    I don't do web design on a continuous basis... my dealings are more often in the Flash realm. Other folks here may have other recommendations that may be better advice to follow.  You'll probably find a few postings where someone has asked how to learn what, so look around a bit.  If you don't find anything, just ask it straight out as a new posting.

  • How to remove the border from an AWT Component (specifically a ScrollPane)

    I've been trying to remove the border from an AWT ScrollPane, but having no luck.
    I've tried setting the bounds on the ScrollPane to get rid of the border:
    ScrollPane scrollPane = new ScrollPane();
    scrollPane.setBounds(-2, -2, getSize().width+4, getSize().height+4);
    I've also tried overwriting the paint method of the ScrollPane but it didn't draw anything:
    private class CustomScrollPane extends ScrollPane
         public void paint(Graphics p_g)
              super.paint(p_g);
              Graphics2D g2 = (Graphics2D)p_g.create();
              g2.setColor(Color.MAGENTA);     //tried magenta so I could easily see it
              g2.drawLine(0, 0, 0, getSize().width);
    Is there anything else I should try? (I wish AWT components had a setBorder method)

    Is there anything else I should try? (I wish AWT components had a setBorder method)Actually this probably isn't possible. One of the main drawbacks of AWT was that since everything is connected to peers, you can't actually draw over or customize the view of your AWT component.
    The only recommendation I might make would be that you could try creating Canvases around your ScrollPanel that draw over the border

    It's just guide lines, they will not show up in your final product. (Well ... unless you happen to have checked "Include Guides" on exporting to PDF.) Switching to "Preview" mode will hide them from view.
    You can safely ignore them, for anything you are designing. Just pretend they are not there. If you find objects are snapping to these guides (which is one of their primary functions), toggle off "Snap to Guides".
    You can't switch them off *entirely*. You can set the number of columns to "1" (it seems to be set to "4" here), but you'd still have the *outer* guides, indicating the default text margins for your document. You can set these margins to "0" , but then the purple lines are drawn on top of the actual page border, which may still be somewhat distracting.

  • How to remove the border of an Adobe Form Image Field

    Hello everyone
    I am using Desinger 8.0.
    Form properties: Preview type = Print Form (One-side):
    I am using an "image field" to include a image from the transaction SE78.
    There is always a box arround the image. How can I remove that box?
    I am using the "Image field" because the image will change depending on conditions.
    Here is my setting:
    Object: Field
                       type    = Image Field
                       Sizing  = Scal Image Proportionally
                Binding
                        Default Binding (Open Save Submit) = $record.GRAPHIC
                        (Graphic is defined in the global area in the interface)
    Layout :
                  AnchorX: 171.477mm  AnchoY: 15.111mm
                  width:       78.175mm  Height :   21.777mm
                   Margins: all at 0mm
                   Caption Position: None
    Border:
               Edges: Edit Together
                           None
                Background fill: None
    Based on my understanding, with border edges to none I should not have any border arround the image But I still have it.
    Any suggestions?

    Hello Raju
    Thank you for your reply.
    Unfortunattely the Field tab doesn't have the Appearance in it.
    The field tab contain only the following Items:
    Type : Image Field
    Caption:
    URL
    Embed Image Data
    Sizing: Scale Image Proportionally
    Presence: Visible
    Locale: Default locale
    There is no item named "Appearance".

  • Remove Portlet's Cache

    Hi!
    I would like to know how can i remove dynamically the portlet's cache. I’m implementing a portal and I would like to cache some portlet’s content. I know I can use the render cacheable property that will maintain the portlet’s content at session scope. The problem of using this solution is that I will have to remove the portlet’s cache when, for instance, the user change the language in which the content is displayed.
    As anyone has an idea how can resolve this issue?
    Thanks in advance!
    Best regards,
    Fmsoares

    1- Is there any way out to call a servlet from
    processAction() method of a portlet class.
    you are thinking like request dispatch? i think the idea is that processAction() does not generate content, doing an RD doesn't make any sense. what does it mean for that servlet to write to the stream?
    of course, you are free to use tools like HttpClient to make http connections from processAction(), but i am guessing that is not what you are looking for.
    i ve a class A (which is using JDOM api's to create
    XML
    now if i am trying to instantiate this class from
    portlet class..i am not able to do so....i am getting
    exception that the portlet container cannot
    instantiate this class...
    but its working fine when i am calling this class
    from a SERVLET.the portlet implementation in portal needs to include jdom in every portlet web application. jdom.jar gets injected when the portlet web app is deployed. if you're using PS 6.x, that's through pdeploy. you can look in the web app's deployed directly and see that jar.
    so how are you getting jdom into your portlet app? adding it manually? if so, you may be ending up with two jdom jars of potentially different versions ... or at least not the version you expect.

  • Change portlet border with .css

    I want to change color and size of the portlet border with the help of .css.
    I have downloaded and use the dreamweaver Extension. .Css are link to portal site with UI template.
    I wondering which class that change the style for the border. So far have tried to use .PortletBodyColor and .PortletHeaderColor. Are there any one that have managed to change border style with .css?
    Regards,
    Jorunn

    I don't think you can just the outer border. If you look at the source code you see that the <td> tags also have the .portletbodycolor and header color classes, so while you technically can change the border, it will change the borders for all the cells and not just the outside of the table.

  • Why remove portlet hides it instead of delete?

    Hello,
    I have a question about removing portlet by clicking on the "X". After I removed portlet, and then went to "customize page", I saw the removed portlet is grayed out which tells me it didn't remove and only hidden.
    I don't think it was happening before. Seems to be recent behavior. Can anyone tell me what is going on?
    Thanks,
