Can't reply to email in Webmail

My host uses Webmail and I get domain email on it.  I can receive, delete and file but can't reply.  The windw seemingly opens but you can't move down text; return does nothing. I type text but nothing shows up.  This is causing headaches.  I have my domains/emails so a  regular email client can't handle the different From fieds. If I'm wrong and one does, please refer me to it.
I'd love to be able to get all domain email in one place, then choose the return address for each reply.

What account, IMAP/POP, etc? Without these details it is impossible to help.

  • Outlook window moves off computer screen to right when I click to expand reading pane - can't reply to emails

Outlook 2010 opens fine.  When I click on the reading pane to expand it to full screen it moves off the right of the screen.
Can't reply to emails as pane is not available.  What do I need to do so pane comes up on the screen

    Hi Rick,
Can you post a screenshot here so we can better understand your situation?
For your issue, please follow the steps below to narrow down the root cause:
Try reset view settings for your Outlook. In Outlook 2010, switch to
View tab, click Reset View button in the
    Current View group.
Start Outlook with the command line Outlook.exe /resetnavpane, type the command line in the Run window and press Enter.
Start Outlook in safe mode to determine if it could be caused by the 3rd-party add-ins, to do so, type
Outlook.exe /safe in the Run window and press Enter. If the behavior won't occur in safe mode, try disable all the add-ins, and enable them one by one to find which one might cause this problem.

  • My os doesn't support upgrade of firefox but now can't reply with emails on hotmail or open pics and other applications with older firefox. How to solve this?

I have an older imac. It works well but I can't open a lot of files/applications or even reply to emails on updated hotmail version. My os is 10.2.8 and I am using 2.0.0.20. My OS can't handle later versions. I can't buy latest upgrade from MAC (snow leopard or whatever latest is) because my computer not compatible with higher/newer upgrades. I want to use my computer but be able to have hotmail work and open pics etc. I don't know what to do.
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened
== Today is when I can no longer reply with hotmail, they ask me to upgrade to newer but need higher firefox to do so.

Following the Hotmail update by Microsoft, they have dropped support for Firefox 2, and now require at least Firefox 3, which will not run on your OS. Hotmail now requires at least Safari 4 so that is not an option for you either.
There are a couple of browsers you could try, they are not specifically mentioned on the system requirements for Hotmail so I can not guarantee that they will work. The first is [http://www.opera.com/download/?os=mac&ver=9.64&local=y Opera 9.64] (Opera 10 will not run on your OS) and [http://www.icab.de/dl.php iCab 4.8]

  • I can´t reply with email alias

I can't reply with my email alias on any of my devices. I can receive emails, but when i reply it only lets me do it with my primary email.
    Thanks

    Hi IsraelTJMX,
I am a little unclear as to whether you are using a mail application on your devices or using the iCloud.com web mail interface. If you are using the web interface, you can select the account or alias you wish to send from by clicking on From: next to the address and it will offer you the various options including the alias. See this article -
iCloud: Send email using a web browser

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

  • 2013, doing migration, can't reply to emails

We're starting a fresh 2013 install migrating from pop/smpt.    I'm using the POP server as a smart host relay, so far there are 5 users in Exchange.  The pop/smtp host forwards email to our domain into exchange and that works fine.
    So here's what's working and what's not
    Inbound : works fine
Outbound using a company domain or internet domain email address : works fine
Outbound reply to an internet domain : doesn't work
It's weird.  If i send an email from my gmail account to my exchange account, i get it.  If i send an email from my exchange account to my gmail account, it works fine.  But if i REPLY to my gmail account from my exchange account, the email
    gets lost somewhere.
If i use the mail flow diagnostic, I get this as the only hit as to what's going on:
Delivery Report for  [company email address]
    Submitted
    4/17/2014 9:41 AM HQEXMB
The message was submitted to [server]
    Pending
    4/17/2014 9:41 AM [server]
Message was received by [server] from [server].
    4/17/2014 9:41 AM [server]
The message has been queued on server [server]
since 4/17/2014 9:41:06 AM (UTC-08:00) Pacific Time (US & Canada).
The last attempt to send the message was at 4/17/2014 9:53:48 AM (UTC-08:00) Pacific Time (US & Canada)
    and generated the error '[{LRT=};{LED=};{FQDN=};{IP=}]'.
Any ideas what's going on? I don't understand how I can send out a new email to an external mailbox but not a reply, that's a head scratcher.

    Hi,
From your description, I recommend you check the following things for troubleshooting:
    1. When you reply an email, the subject contains "RE:". So please check if there is any transport rule prohibiting these replies. For example, reject emails if subject contains "RE".
    2. Please take your time to collect the SMTP send logs and post them here for my further research. Here is the default location for your reference:
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\TransportRoles\Logs\FrontEnd\ProtocolLog\SmtpSend
    Hope it helps.
    Best regards,

  • Can't reply to email from a Blackberry Phone using Mac Mail on my MBP

I have a business colleague and I am unable to reply to his emails on my MBP.  (I can send a new email to him no problem, just not reply to his.)
When he sends it from his Desktop and iPad there are no problems and it only happens (on 3 different email accounts) when sent from his Blackberry.  The Blackberry uses a 'reply to address' which are all correct.
I get an SMTP error..then click "send later" then it will usually go when I send it from my outbox.
    Any ideas?

    go to settings
    then to store
tap your id then click sign out
then sign back in and you should be fine

  • All of a sudden i can't reply to emails.  they just go into my outbox.  what is smpt and why is it different to my email address please?

all of a sudden i cannot reply to emails. they just go into my outbox.  ewhy is this and what is SMPT? and why is it different to my email address please?

SMTP stands for Simple Mail Protocol and is basically what handles your outbound emails.

  • TS3899 Can't reply to email.

I can't seem to reply to an email. Received error "cannot send mail...a copy has been placed in your outbook. The recipent "email address" was rejected by the server.

This means there is a setting problem with your SMTP server for that email account. If that is your only server, does this happen on cellular and wifi, or just one? Go into Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>select the email account in question, Click on SMTP and then make sure it is on, then check the settings for SMTP. Make sure the username and password are entered. There are a couple of places that the setting says are optional, but usually are required. If that doesn't help, then delete the account, then add it back and when you do, make sure you have all the required settings from the email provider.

  • My email is locked and I can't retrieve. Also can't reply to emails?

My email account is locked. I can't read or reply to messages.  I have a circular arrow on the bottom left of screen and it keeps trying to retrieve messages

Fully close your mail app, then reboot.
To fully close the mail app, double tap your home button to bring up the task bar (recently used apps).  Hold your finger on any of those apps until the jiggle.  You'll see a on the upper left corner.  Touch the to close the apps (it's a good idea to fully close apps not used on a regular basis).  Now tap your home button again to stop the apps from jiggling.
Now, reboot your iPad.  Press and hold BOTH the home and power buttons at the SAME time for at least 10 seconds (ignore the red slider to shute down) until the Apple Logo appears, then let go of both buttons and your iPad will restart.  You will not lose any data or settings in doing either action.
Once iPad comes back, see if you can access mail.

  • Can't reply to Email ( Send option dissappears )

I just upgraded a customers phone from an 8700g to an 8310. Anyhow, he can send email if he composes it himself, but he can not directly reply to any emails. When he selects reply and then composes and tries to send the send option is not available. Instead he has to select the person is he going to email and select email to address from the options menu. In which case, is not a direct reply. Any help is much appreciated.

I am having the same issue.  Did anyone get back to you or anyone have resolution? Thanks.

  • SOLVED: Duplicate Emails | Received Using: Unknown | Can't Reply to Emails | BIS

I had an issue with my Bold 9900 where I was receiving duplicate emails.  I use BIS and not BES Enterprise Server.
The first was Received Using: [my Emai Account] as normal.  Then a duplicate email would come in marked "Received Using: Unknown".  The first email I could reply to or forward as normal.  However, the "Unknown" one I could not.  The menu option for "send" after typing a reply did not appear.
I searched the forums and google high and low for a solution, but to no avail.  I finally broke down and called paid Blackberry Official Support and spent two weeks troubleshooting the issue.   Finally the issue was solved.
If the solutions shown below do not solve the problem for you, then this may.  It did for me.
    http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB13528
    http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02567
    http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB12207
I had 6 email accounts.  I was using a T-Mobile SIM Card.   Then I switched providers to Telenor Sweden and my SIM.  My email accounts continued to work normally.  Then I wanted to add 4 more email accounts.  However, when I went to create the first one, I was prompted that I no longer had ANY email accounts and had to recreate all 10 from scratch.   This is when the problem started.  The 6 email accounts I had originally set up were the ones receiving the duplicate emails.  The 4 new ones were behaving normally.
I tried all the usual fixes like deleting the accounts, deleting the service books, but to no avail.  I was not using any gmail or yahoo accounts or aliases.  I was not using Blackberry Enterprise Server.   So most of the solutions posted in the forums and knowledge base did not apply to me.
When I called Blackberry Support, the representative asked if I had 6 email accounts.  I said no, I have 10 email accounts.  He then pulled up a separate system where he saw the 10 accounts.   The original 6 in one system, and the new 10 in another system.  It seems that the original 6 were not deleted out of the BIS system when I recreated them.  So they were still left there but without a service book attached to them because the service books were all attached to the 10 new ones.   Ultimately, the representative deleted the previous 6 email accounts from the BIS system manually, and then my problem was solved.   It seems that T-Mobile was still holding these accounts hostage and did not properly release them when they were recreated with Telenor.   So when an email came, the Telenor service book gave me a normal email, but the T-Mobile account gave me an Unknown because there was no service book attached to it - it existed only on the BIS, not on my Blackberry.
I noted that this problem with T-Mobile had been reported on a couple other forums but they were able to log into their  T-Mobile account and solve the issue by deleting the email accounts from the T-Mobile system or by changing the passwords on the email accounts so that it didn't recognize them.  I no longer had any of my account information so I couldn't log into T-Mobile, and I had 10 accounts so didn't want to change all the passwords.  But Blackberry ultimately solved the problem for me.  I just wanted to share in case anyone else was as frustrated by this as I was.

If you ever have to call Blackberry to have them manually resolve this issue for you, give them ticket #27710221 to reference the solution.

Hmmm, wouldn't think the Modem would make difference on that though!?
    Couple more things to try...
In your home folder, try trashing this folder...
    Quit mail 1st.
    /Library/Caches/Mail
    reboot.

  • Can't reply to emails that are recieved

Every time I try and reply to an email it doesn't send and it keeps saying that the sender address was invalid. I've gone over the email setup numerous times and everything is correct. I am using a Google Apps email account right now.

This is a Gmail account being accessed with the iPhone's Mail application?
If so, this indicates there is a problem with the outgoing mail server or SMTP server settings.
How was the account created with the iPhone's Mail application? Did you use the Gmail account preset, which creates the account as an IMAP account, or did you select "Other" when creating the account selecting IMAP or POP as the account type?
Either way, try deleting and recreating the account with the iPhone's Mail application.

  • I use an iPhone 4s and it won't allow me to reply to email messages. How can I fix this?

For some reason I can't reply to emails on my iphone 4s. I get error messages saying it can't connect to the server. Is it fixable?

Charter is my supplier and as much as they didn't want to think they could could help they did by telling me that both the incoming & outgoing server addresses had to match. My outgoing server had a few extra characters at the end of it that the incoming didn't and as soon as I deleted those everything worked fine.
    Thanks.

  • Cant reply to emails 10.8.3

Since upgrading to 10.8.3 the machines on our network seem unable to reply to emails, i reset the account which fixed the problem for about 10 minutes. WE have an open email system using imap and latest kerio, 10.7 machines are all fine, anyone else have the problem? To clarify the reply button is not greyed out , you can press it, just nothing happens, same if you right click and reply, and all other methods of replying.
    Thanks
    Rob

Right i think i know whats going on here
Our email system is a blanket imap system whereas everybody can se everyone elses emails within the company, this is done by having a single account on kerio that has a number of aliases that are deemed acceptable email addresses, ie the names of the people that work here, anything other than that is sent to a catchall and deleted,  prior to the 10.8.3 update we were able to reply to any email that came in, even if it wasnt addressed to me, now i can only reply to emails that are addressed to me, joe bloggs in the office can only reply to emails that are addressed to him, i think apple have introduced this as some kind of security measure, i think the time is now for us to have a "normal" email system.
