Can't resize certificate  template

Morning all, Im very new to this ( just came over from the dark side ) my problem is I can't resize the fancy certificate template. It seems too be big for an A4 page by default, which can't be right. When I click on the outside border the box lines seem to be ghosted with small crosses on them and wont resize. I must be missing something here.
Cheers.. A

I don't know about the original templates. I know that when you print from your own computer Pages will ask if you want to save the changes, at least in Snow Leopard and earlier systems, and if you say Save the printer information will be saved into the document. That can change if you use another printer.
I don't know how Pages templates behaves when you don't have used an printer but you do have printer driver installed on the computer by default even when you don't have a printer attached  or specifically not installed the printer when the system was installed.
Check in the Page set up what options you have for getting a borderless page. Here are my options. Those with an triangle to the right have both with and without margin options. I have installed a printer driver for my Epson printer.
I don't know what happens with a PDF but my experience is you have to always check in printer preview that the settings for printout is what you want. Other computers doesn't care for what you have saved in a Pages document but print by their own settings. I think Pages is primarily meant to be printed from the computer you created the document on. If you don't you have to check the settings on the new computer.

  • How can I resize the PDF I created with a magazine template?

Hello! I used a template that`s a different size than what I need. How can I resize (make it smaller) the PDF that I just created with this magazine template?

So you picked a template in A4 format, and now you need letter. The printer can scale the PDF to 11" and it will get even narrower, leaving large margins. Does it have bleeds? That woudl be a disaster.
Frankly, the best thing is to start over using the correct page size, but you can go to File > Document Setup... in ID and change the shape of the exisiting file. Expect to do a lot of work moving and resizing objects and refitting the type.

  • PKI SCCM Client Certificate Template not viewable by Windows 7 and Server 2008 workgroup machines.

    Hello everyone,
I’m having issues with workgroup computers, not domain systems when I request a certificate.
It’s extremely weird. It has something to do with Windows 7 and Windows 2008 machines. In 2003 server I can request a certificate manually with certutil and it see the certificate template. I copy over the exact command
on windows 7 and it can’t see the certificate template.
    I have the following configuration:
    CA Enterprise
I have created the SCCM Client Certificate
I have created the SCCM Web Server Certificate
I have created the SCCM Distribution Point Certificate
    GPO is configured
SCCM 2012 R2 CU2 configured to do HTTP and HTTPS
    Installed SCCM Client Certificate
    Installed SCCM Web Server Certificate

    Windows Server 2008 R2 –
    (ERROR) not successful
    Windows Server 2003 - successful
    Windows XP – successful
How I’m getting the certs for the clients is by utilizing the following scripts from this URL.
    http://www.ithierarchy.com/ITH/node/48
I did find a couple of errors in the code, but if it’s working on my Server 2003, then it should work on the others. Windows 7 and Windows 2008 R2 seem to have the same issue. The error I’m getting is the following:
Command line requesting the cert ---- CertReq –new –f testcomputer.home.pvt.inf c:\client\testcomputer.home.pvt.req
    Error --- Template not found.
    SCCMClientCertificate (this is my template)

Just to give an update on what’s happening with this. I found out this format is unsupported by MS with Windows Vista and newer OS’s.
Instead you must utilize two other additional roles on the CA to have this work. The caviate is, I’m down to the testing and it’s not working as in the document. I have MS Support

  • Can Only Add Cert Template through Command Line (Can't use GUI)

I am hoping somebody can figure this issue out.
We have a Server 2008 Enterprise 32 Bit server running AD certificate Services.  Plan was to migrate the server to 2012 R2 (64 bit).  I went through the migration guide and everything was going great until I went to add a new template after the
fact.  After duplicating a template and changing the settings, I went to Cert Templates on the CA and did a:  new --> Certificate Template to Issue.  Sadly, the cert I created did not show up.  I deleted it, and did it again, still it
did not show up.  I figured something was wrong with the migration since this work previously, so I followed the guide and recovered everything back to my original 2008 Enterprise server.
Everything is back to where it was before except this problem of not being able to add new certs to issue through the GUI has stayed.  I can add them using command line:
certutil -setcatemplates +TemplateName  and they show up and are usable.
Why can't I do this through the GUI?

    Hi,
In additon to above suggestion, hope the below link be helpful also:

  • HOW DO I CREATE A GIFT CERTIFICATE TEMPLATE

I am just switched from MS to Mac. I want to create gift certificates as christmas gifts. With MS, I could go to Word or on-line, download a template and customize as desired. Where can I find similar templates for Mac Pages?

    OEB,

The two most notable sites for downloading Pages templates are these: iWorkCommunity and Mactopia. The latter one is a Word template site, but they open up just fine in Pages.

  • How to filter certificate templates in Certificate Authority snap-in with the correct values

How to filter certificate templates in Certificate Authority snap-in with the correct values
    I have a 2012 R2 server running Microsoft Certificate Authority snap-in.
I want to do a filter on a specific Certificate Template which i know exists in the 'Issued Certificates' folder.
All the documentation i can find seems to suggest i copy the certificate name and use this in the View Filter.
1). I add the 'Certificate Template' option into the Field drop-down.
2). I leave the Operation as the '=' symbol
3). I paste in just the name of the template in question. for example: 'my computers'
The search results always come back blank 'There are no items to show in this view.' even when i know there are many instances of this template. I've tried on a win 2008 server and same issue.
Is there a correct value to enter for the Certificate Template name?
Can this be done easier using certutil commands?
When i run the certutil tool i can confirm i have several issued templates. Certutil -catemplates -v > c:\mytemplate_log.csv
Anybody know what i'm doing wrong?
I seem to be getting nowhere with this one.

    > But its important you are using the template name, not the display name
this is incorrect. OIDs are mapped to *display name*, not common name (it is true for all templates except Machine template). That is, in order to translate template name to a corresponding OID, you need to use certificate template's display name. And, IIRC,
template name in the filter can be used only for V1 templates. For V2 and higher, OID must be used.

  • Security settings for Certificate Template

I recently followed a tutorial for creating a code-signing certificate (for SCUP 2011 third-party security updates) on our internal CA, and the documentation wasn't that great.  After the fact, I realized that in the certificate template, I should not
have allowed anything except for the code-signing server itself to "read and enroll."  But the original template that I used had "read" for Authenticated Users, and "read and enroll" for Domain Computers (and even more rights
for Domain Admins and Enterprise Admins.)
Now, by looking at our CA, I can see that the only machine that enrolled the original certificate template was the intended server.  I have since adjusted the security tab on the certificate template, so that the next time I issue it, there should be
no chance of an unintended machine enrolling a certificate for code-signing.
My question is, is the originally issued certificate "safe"?  I have already signed a few security updates with said certificate, and added it to the Trusted Publishers store (with only the public-key version of the certificate) on the domain
computers via GPO.  It's working well, but I want to make sure that there is no potential security issue, since the original template allowed "read" to Authenticated Users, and "read and enroll" to Domain Computers.
I have a feeling that I'm probably safe, and the security tab in the certificate template is related to the original issuance/enrollment of the certificate, rather than the certificate's behavior after it's been distributed.  But, I'd like to get some
input from the security/certificate experts, as this is not my area of expertise.
Thanks in advance for your advice.

    Hi,
Do you need further assistances on this issue by now?
If yes, please feel free to let us know.

  • Where has the certificate template gone on pages on mavericks

I updated my machine to mavericks and the version of Pages and since all the updates the certificate template has gone.
Have apple removed the template? if so this is very annoying.
    Help

Apple has removed over 2/3rds of the templates because Pages 5 can not open them without damaging them.
Pages 5 has had over 90 features removed:

  • Where have the certificate templates gone in pages?

    Hi all,
I've noticed that the certificate templates seem to have disappeared in the new version of Pages. Can anyone provide me with a copy of the old ones? unfortunately the ones on the community forum aren't anywhere near as good.
    thanks
    Ricky

Sounds like you upgraded from Pages '09 which should still be in your Applications/iWork folder.
The reason so many things are missing in Pages 5 (like 2/3rds of the templates) is because it lacks the tools (over 100) that Pages '09 has, which makes certain things impossible or difficult to do. stick with Pages '09 if you can till something better comes along than Pages 5.

  • "No certificate templates could be found..." error using web enrollment on Win2k8 R2 Enterprise SubCA

    Hi Folks,
I have installed an online issuing CA running on Win2k8 R2 Enterprise, and installed the web enrollment role service on it.
I have duplicated two computer certificate templates (computer & web server) on our DC's, modified them as Win2k3 templates, made some changes and saved them, then published them on the CA by selecting New -> Certificate Tempate
to issue. The templates have read and enroll permissions set for domain admins and domain computers (my account is a domain admin). I can successfully enroll for them using the certificates MMC.
When connecting to https://myca.mydomain.com/certsrv however, the page loads. I click on 'Request a certificate', then 'Create and submit a request to this CA'. I see a warning indicating that this website
is attempting to perform a digital certificate operation on my behalf, so I click yes. Immediately after doing so, I get the error:
"No certificate templates could be found. You do not have permission to request a certificate from this CA, or an error occurred while accessing the Active Directory."
I have spent about 2 hours searching on this error and found at least 50 people complaining of this, but no real solutions. Here is what I have tried with no success:
    1) http://support.microsoft.com/kb/811418. Everyone references this solution, but it hasn't worked for anyone. The string values and cases are the same for me.
    2) Enabled SSL on the certsrv website.
    3) Set the authentication on the certsrv site to enable integrated authentication and disabled anonymous authentication.
    4) Created a separate application pool running under the Network Service then set the Certsrv application to run under it.
I should note that this exact same condition occurred in my lab install, but rather than waste time trying to fix it in the lab, I just went ahead with the production install, only to experience the same problem, so apparently web enrollment is just
broken out of the box on 2k8 R2 Enterprise.
Does anyone have any idea how to get this working as advertised? Thanks for any help,
    Ian

It appears to be an issue in Server 2012R2 as well.
In our case, is a new two tier PKI setting is implemented on two Windows Servers 2012R2. After the installations and configurations are completed, I was unable to load certificate templates when requesting a certificate on the Web interface.
The issue was that the pass-through authentication did not work in IIS with the standard Application Pool Identity.
    The solution was as followed:
    1. Changed the NTFS permissions on the certsrv virtual directory in IIS (C:\Windows\System32\CertSrv\en-US), by adding a (domain) user account with read and list permissions.
    2. In IIS CertSrv > Basic Settings > Connect as - select "Specific user:" and set the newly created user with the username and password.
    3. Tested in Basic Settings with - "Test Settings" button and both Authentication and Authorization were successful.
    4. Request certificate from Web interface and the templates are available.
Note: You must have a certificate in the Templates store which you have duplicated from the Templates available.

I can't delete my templates in iPages now that I am running Lion.
Any Suggestons?  There is no Application support or Library folder in my home file.

These folders are hidden because many users did odd things with them.
Here are three ways to get rid of that.
    (1) go to to the menu "Go to" (Aller in French) and type :
    ~/Library
    (2) press option and go to the menu "Go To". The item Library will be available
    (3) run this AppleScript
    --{code}
do Shell Script "chflags nohidden ~/Library"
    --{code}
This one unhidde the folder so you need it only once. Keep the script because maybe an update may reset the hidden flag.

I am taking pictures on my iphone 4s and using iphoto to edit them on macbook pro.  I need to upload these photos at a size much smaller than what i am able to take with my phone.  The only way I see to adjust the size of a photo in iphoto is to crop it.  How can I resize without cropping?

  • Can't resize list view in 10.9

While using list view in the finder, I can't resize the various categories (name, size, type, etc). This is very annoying, as my "name" category is expanded so wide you can't see any of the others! For some reason, it's impossible to double click between the categories to have it automatically resize, and you can't click and drag to resize. The double arrows just don't show up. Even more confusing, this only happens while looking at certain folders (desktop and documents), but other folders in the same view work fine. I've tried trashing finder preferences and that didn't solve the problem. How do I fix this? Thank you.
