Can't resize or unlock regions--please help
I need to simply shorten a region from the start point. When I click drag from the left corner, nothing happens--it shows the region moving right in shadow (moving the entire region, not shortening, but when I let go, the region is unaltered. (Oddly, the mix window scrolls right when I do this-don't know why.) When I open the audio bin window, I find that some regions will unlock and others won't. The ones that won't, I cannot shorten the length of the region from the left corner. Yet I can shorten the region length from the end point by click dragging from right corner, but this eliminates audio from the region's end, and I want to eliminate audio from the beginning. This seems to make no sense. I do not want to delete the unwanted audio, just alter the region length from the start point. Can anyone help? Thank you.
Thank you for replying, but I still have a problem. The locked region already has SMPTE position unlocked and I still can't alter it. It seems the Audio bin lock to prevent unwanted edits is different from SMPTE lock.

You apparently aren't listening or don't understand English well enough to understand the responses you're getting.
An unlocked iPhone will remain unlocked. Updating a legitimately unlocked phone does NOT affect the locked/unlocked status.
It will only lock IF the phone was hacked or jailbroken to unlock it. -

Here is an article that I would recommend taking a look at for this issue.
Get help with Touch ID
Make sure that you're using the latest version of iOS.
Make sure that your fingers and the Home button are clean and dry.*
Cover the Home button completely. Don't tap too quickly, don't press down hard, and don't move your finger while Touch ID is scanning. Make sure that your finger touches the metal ring around the Home button.
If you're using a case or screen protector, make sure it doesn't cover the Home button or the surrounding ring. If it does, remove the case or screen protector and try again.
Tap Settings > Touch ID & Passcode and make sure that iPhone Unlock or iTunes & App Store is on. Also make sure that you've enrolled one or more fingerprints.
Try enrolling a different finger.
If you can't enroll any of your fingers, take your device to an Apple Retail Store, Apple Authorized Service Provider, or contact AppleCare for help.

I am using garage band for the first time. I dragged and dropped a song from itunes into the program and I want to extend the length of the song by repeating the first 28 measures. I can't figure it out. Please help. I have spent several hours trying to figure it out on my own but have not been successful. It seems like an easy task. Can anyone help?

That is so dumb...Apple is the best and most techinological company IN THE WORLD and they don't have the time to invent something like that? HUH? Mine does the same thing occasionally, is your phone jailbroken? Sometimes it will work if you delete the book and reinstall it or put your phone into airplane mode then turn it back off.

I just downloaded the newest version of Itunes on my Windows 7 PC. I can't delete anything and I can't sync to my MP3 player. I tried deleting it and installing an earlier version of Itunes but it can't read the library. Please help.

My MBP will not "see" my new MB or my back-up drive—both connected via a firewire 400 (6 pin) cable. Both running Tiger X.4.11
I have used this cable to connect my MBP and a TiBook in the past as well as to back-up onto the LaCie e-drive.
I have run "disk repair" and "permissions" on both machines.
BTW—"permissions" are regularly out of wack on the MBP. But, the disk is OK according to Disk Utilities.
I also cannot put the machine to sleep after logging out. Has a hard time shutting down as well. Sometimes I need to force a re-boot.
Can't run Disk Doctor because I don't have a bootable disk yet. It's coming via snail mail.
The new MB "sees" the e-drive connected with the same cable.
I can't transfer my files to the new MB nor can I back up.
Is it time for a "clean install"? Makes me nervous that I cannot backup before trying anything drastic.
Can someone please help me?

TekPut the more recalcitrant computer into Target Drive mode by starting it with the T key down until you see the yellow on blue screen. Then connect it to the other machine by firewire cable while both are already awake.
I hope that you did not do any upgrades while you had external drives connected... that is an automatic problem. Always disconnect from externals and accessories before doing any upgrades. Always back up before doing any upgrades.
Firewire networking is not the same as using a computer in Target Disc mode. In Target disc mode, you are using the internal drive of the Td computer as an external. That should allow you to run disk utility. Do use the proper disc utility version for the OSX version that is on problem drive. ie don't use the Leopard disc utility for the Tiger disc or vice versa. -

I have a sata II samsung 5400 rpm and i am only able to transfer at 85 read right speed.
On my main drive sata III ocz agility 3 ssd i get 120 mb read and 180 write.
Neither of these come close to the 300 mb promised. So it wont matter if he got sata II or III
