Can't restore iPhone 4s from old backup?

I did a backup on my iPhone 4s on ios 6.1.2. a week ago. My backups size is 6gb. Then I restored to ios 6.1.3, but can't restore from the backup.
The picture is in danish, but notice how it can't find the backup ''Gendan sikkerhedskopi''.
When i'm locating my backup in Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup, it shows me 3 folders?
Can I get my files back? Thanksss

Your screen shots are not appearing for me.
As long as the backups are from the same iOS or an older iOS that you currently have on the phone, you should be able to restore from the backup. You cannot restore a newer iOS backup to an older iOS device until you update the device to the same iOS as the backup.
I don't know if the screen shots were visible if it would help, but it sure couldn't hurt to see what you are seeing.

RESTORE from BACKUP...
Connect to iTunes... Right click on your iPhone in the devices list and choose "Restore from a backup...".
From there, you should be able to choose which backup you want to restore from.

Can't restore iPhone 4 from IOS7.02 error 3014

Hello all,
Familiar topic for many.... Can't restore iPhone 4 after trying to update to IOS7.02 and keep getting error 3014 whenever it tries to restore firmware halfway through update process.
Have read all of the discussions and done the following:-
- tried it on another (proven) network
- Tried it on another identity on my machine
- deleted and reinstalled software update file several times over
- tried different USB cables
- checked that there are no ports blocked.
- looked at the host file and there is no reference to gs.apple.com on there
- Phone is not jailbroken
- turned off security software.
Any more suggestions?

a phone backup cannot be used on an ipad.
if all you want is your contacts, sign in to icloud from the same apple ID you wre using on the phone.

How can I restore my data from a backup with different Phone name?

I recently had to restore my iphone which erased all the data. I have a backup of that data in iTunes and I want to restore it to the phone. However when I connected the phone to iTunes the first time after resetting everything, I accidently chose to create a new phone instead of restore settings and data from the backup.
My question is, how can I restore the iPhone from this previous backup? My iPhone is currently called "untitled playlist" and the backup is called "JC's iPhone".

If you restore again, you will be prompted to choose a backup or setup as a new phone again. Then you can just choose your old backup.

Can't restore new phone from a backup

I went to the Apple store today and had my iPhone 4 replaced under warranty because the sleep button was stuck. The guy told me to come home, plug it into iTunes and choose the restore from previous phone backup option. I did that and halfway through it stopped, and gave me an error. I had no other option but to click "Ok" and next thing I know it went to the page where you sync it and it already put the phone under my name. Now I can't get back to the screen where you restore from a backup! I went into device preferences and the backup from Sunday night from my old phone is still there, but I have no idea how to restore it to my new phone. I really want my pictures back into my camera roll, contacts, texts, and all that back! Does anyone know how to get back to that screen where you choose to restore?

If anyone else is looking for a solution to this same problem, I was able to get it working looking through several older discussions.
The solution was to use the password that I had on my iTunes account the very first time I set up the iPhone about a year ago. I changed my iTunes password about 10 months ago; but apparently, the backups continue to use the password that existed when the phone was first set up.
A couple of troubling things with this are that 1) I didn't apply a password when I did the backup this afternoon so I don't understand why it was required when I did the restore a few hours later. and 2) it makes zero sense why iTunes would not be smart enough to use the current accout password when requiring the password to restore from a backup made with no password.
I thought iTunes and Apple were smarter than that. With so many posts stating exactly the same problem, it is clear that this is bug in the software.

HT4859 Will restoring iphone 5 from icloud backup bring back an icloud calendar I deleted on my computer?

I deleted an icloud caledar that was synched on my coputer and iPhone. Could I turn off my computer, then restore my iPhoone from before the delete and get my calendar back? FYI my computers backup is too old, but iphone backed up this am over WiFi.

That doesn't make sense(not you, but the system), since iCloud changes done on the phone change whats in iCloud server.
The only way to have a backup of the calendar would be from backing up computer then??

How can I restore deleted emails from iCloud backup?

I have an Earthlink email account that never synced with the server before, so I went a little crazy deleting a bunch of emails. It wasn't until I checked my WebMail that I realized it deleted them from the server, too. I checked with Earthlink and they couldn't do anything for me. But I had an iCloud backup from yesterday that I tried to restore. Except the email account keeps syncing with the server and I'm back to where I started. Is there any way to retrieve this data? It's gotta still be in the backup, right?

If they were backed up, you can restore your phone from that previous backup. If they weren't backed up, you cannot restore them.

Can I restore a database from a backup that is of older version of SAP B1?

I had this backup done about two years ago as a template for any new database that I wanted to create. Recently, my SAP B1 had been upgraded to a newer version. As a result, when I was trying to restore from the backup file that was created two years ago, it does not allow me to do so. Any idea how to work around this or is there any alternative I can have? Please help.

SQL never block you ,you can restore backup with proper user authorization(You can not restore SQL 2008 backup in SQL 2005 ).
and whenever you want to login in SAP then first you upgrade the database then you will login.
in which version you want work in SAP ?

I haven't personally used it, but it's widely recommended so I suspect it's pretty good software. If your restore is failing it may be the only way to access your data again. And if the backup is failing because it is corrupt, even this may not work.
You won't be able to find you information on a different computer unless you backed up your phone on it (and you can't simply copy the backup from one computer to another as iTunes won't read it on the other computer).

I've never really had problems on syncing one device to another. However, this time time I can't seem to restore it to the 5s. And you are looking in the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app on them ? On that tab you've selected Music at the top of it, then 'Not on this iPad' and 'all songs' ?
Is that what you are seeing in the Purchased tab, or is there not a Music button at the top of it or are you not seeing anything listed there ?

Can I restore lost Reminders from a backup?

Hi, After recently setting up my sync via iCloud for Calendars, I noticed today that all my Reminders have disappeared in this process.
I looked on my iPad, also set up to sync, and it tantalisingly flashed up all my old Reminders when I opened that app for a few seconds.... then they all disappeared as it no doubt synced to iCloud and wiped out the local ones with the empty set on iCloud.
Is there a way I can restore just my Reminders from either a previous backup of my phone (or iPad), or perhaps from Time Machine? Thank you.

Hey. I solved the problem by restoring the ~/Library/Calendars folder with Time Machine on MacBook. Hope this helps you.

Can I restore my bookmarks from carbonite backup?

I had to uninstall firefox because it wasn't working.
Now it works, but I lost all my bookmarks. I have files backed up on carbonite, but I don't know if I can reinstall them. There are a lot of files in carbonite labeled "bookmark" but I can't find any that actually restore the bookmarks.

How can I restore my dock from a backup after doing a clean install?

I restored the dock plist file as well as the db file (which I had to delete the original first, since it was "in use") but the standard dock remains.

I haven't tried this myself, but I'm guessing that the Dock writes its settings back to disk when it quits, overwriting what's in the restored files. There are two ways you might work around this:
Restore the files, then in the shell enter
killall -9 Dock
If that doesn't work, enter
launchctl remove com.apple.Dock.agent
Restore the files, then log out and log back in.
