Can't restore iPhone after turning off while doing the iOS 8.0.2 update

I wanted to do the iOS 8.0.2 update. This didn't work and my iPhone 5 turned off. Now it says that I have to connect ti iTunes. I tried to restore it but it always says that a mistake appeared. Now i can't use my iPhone anymore and i don't know what to do

it took me 5 hours to get iTunes to sort my phone out!!
I have an iphone4 I updated to iOS8.2 this ruined my phone. The bloke in Apple store told me to reset my phone. Whilst it was in the reset mode it froze meaning it was a brick! I couldn't get rid of the apple logo and iTunes was not recognising my phone!!
I changed the USB ports and that appeared to work. BUT once my phone was on it did not ask if I wanted to restore from icloud ...... So I've lost all my settings and text and have no clue how to get them back. My iPhone is like new, which is rubbish coz it took me over a year to get it how I liked it!!

  • IPhone 3gs turns off while having 60-80% battery

hello, iphone 3gs turns off while there is enough battery to be consumed. Round about 60 to 80 percent battery is more enough to keep alive an iphone for a whole day long. what suggestion you recommend, help asap......

You could try to disconnect and after a few minutes reconnect the battery. That theoretically resets the phone BIOS and is supposed to help regarding the reboot issue (see post by NIKKOH007) http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2471090&start=2055&tstart=30
Or replace the battery altogether with a newer, iOS 4 compatible battery. At iFixit.com they have come to the conclusion that not all batteries in the 3GS are necessarily iOS4.x compatible or a battery defect may be exposed after updating.

  • Why my iphone 5 turns off  while recording videos ???

please help !!!!! i m extreamly disappointed in apple ;[

    Hello Dhananjay,
I recommend steps 1, 3 and 5 of the iPhone Troubleshooting Assistant found here http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/assistant/phone/.
If you get to step 3, then I suggest closing all the apps. Here is step one to get you started
    Restart iPhone
To restart iPhone, first turn iPhone off by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button until a red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider and iPhone will turn off after a few moments.
Next, turn iPhone on by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Is iPhone not responding? To reset iPhone, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If your device does not turn on or displays a red battery icon, try recharging next.
    All the very best,
    Sterling

  • Restore required after turning off iphone

Every time I turn off my phone and turn it back on it can no longer find the verizon phone network and informs me I need to do a restore. When I attempt to restore it will constantly restart itself. The only way to fix it is to put the phone in recovery mode first than restore. Any one have ideas on how to be able to turn off my phone with out having to do a recovery and restore later? Thanks!

That symbol is the "connect to iTunes" symbol.  Not sure what caused it, but you need to connect it to your computer and iTunes and it should pop up saying "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode.   You must restore this phone..."  Then, you just restore it (hopefully you have a backup to restore from!!!) and it should work as normal after that.

    Hi there Ricardo841,
I would recommend taking a look at the troubleshooting steps found in the article below.
    iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting

Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.

My issue is still not resolved. What do I do next?

  • HT4623 my phone died while doing the iOS 6 update.

Now it doesnt want to turn on, the apple logo comes up and then it just turns right back off. The charger doest work. Please help.

Reset, hold both Home and Power buttons until the iPhone restarts. This usually takes about 10 seconds of holding both buttons. If still problem, charge your iPhone with Wall Charger for 10 minutes even if it does not show it is charging. Then you should Restore your iPhone with iTunes on computer. Here are simple steps. Open iTunes on computer. Connect iPhone to computer. Hold both home and power buttons until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode. Usually takes about 20 seconds of holding both buttons. Click Restore Button of iTunes.
