I have spent so much time trying to restore my I phone 3 as aple sent the link and have logged on connected the phone to itunes but cant go any further as it keeps asking for password any ideas on this problem?

The way to get passed the passcode is to restore your iPhone. Follow the steps in the article below to put your iPhone into recovery mode and then use iTunes to restore it. If you have a back up within iTunes or iCloud, you can put the back up back on and the passcode does not come back.

Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to shut down.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
iTunes will alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then restore the device.

Hi. The two user tips both describe a sequence of steps that should get your library from the point where it threatens to wipe data from your device to where it is syncing normally, while recovering as much information as possible. It may still be necessary to wipe and reload the device but this should only take place once all the data that can be recovered has been recovered.
Doing step 1 of 8 and then complaining things aren't the way you want them to be yet strikes me as premature...
Since you appear to have all your media content, and we are discussing an iPod classic, not an iOS device, the main worries are already taken care of. What's left is ratings, playcounts, playlist membership and checked status. Since your device holds only part of your library at best you could only recover the missing data for the content that is on the device using third party tools.
Recreating the previous checked/unchecked status of every track in your library from where you are now may not be that easy. Syncing with selected playlists has many advantages, one of which would have been that you would have a named playlist that could have been retrieved by 3rd party software if you had used this method.
You haven't explained what caused your problem in the first place, but if you have a Previous iTunes Libraries folder holding old copies of your iTunes database (generated with each iTunes update) then it would be possible to restore the most recent of these and then update the library with any changes in your media folder.
BTW Apple doesn't offer free support for this kind of issue with iTunes.

ITunes tells me there is an update (5.1) but it never gets any further than trying to connect to the iPad server. I've tried updating directly from my iPad and it too times out saying it cannot connect to any server. My regular Apple updates work fine.

I haven't updated yet. Apple's download servers have been too busy. Did you know you can update via wifi instead of connection to your computer?

Your photos remain in place, the catalog you have been using will remain. After you install Lightroom from the CC, all you have to do is open your existing catalog and continue right where you left off.

Are you trying to call yourself to test FaceTime? If so, you must have a second E-Mail address registered with your Apple ID. In other words, there must be a different E-Mail address on each unit.

With those symptoms, I'd try the following document:

Need to authorise a song to play on itunes, I do this and a message saying 3 out of 5 pcs have been authorised, paid 99p for song. Not happy if I cant play it. Please help if you can!

Its unfortunate that your music is not playing.
If you could please provide some more information so I can help you.
In the title it states you have authorized the comptuer already and it is still not allowing you to play the song.
If you right click the song that will not play - then click Get Info - in the window that appears it will show Account- Take not at what is the account name listed? Is it the same account you just authorized? Is it a friend or family members account?

I have music in my library that has a (!) nest to it and i cannot locate it on my computer at all i have looked everyway i have a windows 8 computer and i tranfered all of my music from my old computer please help if you can.

MS Azure - Can Logon says Free Trial Active But I cant get into portal , Please help ?

created an account , used a credit crd , got confirmation from MS Azure,

I logged in and was able to go to portal no problem.
Today I log in but cant get access to portal.
Get I have no Subscription but when on Subscriptions it says Free Trial , Your free trial expires in 26 days.

I see that you are trying to log into the accounts portal. Please try logging into the management portal ( Old azure portal ) / Ibiza portal ( New Azure Portal ) using the below links.

2. Ibiza Portal https://portal.azure.com/
https://account.windowsazure.com is an accounts portal, only the account owner can login to the account for viewing the billing details etc.,
