Can't retrieve photos

All of a sudden I no longer can open, retrieve or e-mail photos in my library. I have changed nothing. Help.

Hi Lou,
I am not sure if you got your library fixed or not?
If Old Toads suggestions don't work you might have to create a new library and import the images from the old library.
Check out the first page for some hints you might not have tried yet.
Check out the second page for instructions on creating a new library.

Hello i need to retrieve photos that were accidentily deleted while tranfering them to my hard drive from iphoto..their are over 1500 pictures suddenly dissapeared after i believe the hard drive was not ejected properly.. can anyone please help me

hi again, here's what i did,
uploaded photos from camera card directly onto external terabyte harddrive (because macbook air is full). when i went back to the terabyte iphoto library, it gave me a message that there were inconsistencies detected, "cancel or repair?" i clicked cancel and when i went to the new folder with all the photos i had just imported, the folder was there but empty. Probelem is that once there were successfully uploaded, i chose to delete them form memory card... am i doing something wrong?

This morning i downloaded IOS 7.1.2 onto my Iphone 5C. I assumed all my photos were in ICloud. After the download was completed all my photos have been removed. Can I retrieve them somehow?

Have you enabled the Photo Stream again?

Go to Settings > iCloud > Photos (or Photo Stream in iOS 6), then turn on My Photo Stream.
iCloud does not yet store your photos. It just streams them to your devices, and iCloud holds a temporary snapshot of the most recently added photos (added during the last month, and no more than a 1000 photos).
Did you make a backup of your iPhone before the upgrade? Then you can restore the content of your camera roll from the backup, see:

You can log into your iCloud account on another computer or device and enable photo stream to see your photos. You should do this as soon as possible because photo stream in the cloud only keeps photos for 30 days and each day you delay, you will lose another days photos.
Photos in the camera roll...
If you kept a back up of your device you can use it to restore to a replacement device, this will restore all of the photos in your camera roll and isn't time limited.

They don't have to enter your Apple ID password for that to happen. Do NOT give them your password, now or ever. They do not need to enter anything for the erase to take place. It just needs to connect to a data network (and that may not be possible if the phone is outside of your cellular carrier's area and if it cannot connect to wi-fi).

The camera roll is saved inside of iTunes iPhone Backups.
try restoring from a backup.
Right click the iPhone under "Devices" in iTunes. click "Restore from Backup..."
it will list the device backups in the box with a date stamp on the right side. Choose appropriately.
Also, you might only see 1 device backup. backup manually more often.

If you didn't copy it to your computer, and you havn't done a backup since you took the video then no, there is way to get it back and there is no undelete function. I am having the same problem. I have a new hard drive and trying to restore my iPhoto Library from backup. I have moved, copied, renamed, and even "selected new library". When it links to the new library, there are "no photos" in iPhoto. I can see all the originals in the backup and copied folder, but nothing through iPhoto. Would anything in the structure of my backup library cause this?

Is the version of iPhoto that you installed on the new drive the same version as the one you used previously (to make your iPhoto Library)? Or is it a later version?
If you are running the same or a later version, then you can try to rebuild your iPhoto Library with a COPY (don't modify the original or original backup that you made). Make an extra copy of the file, make sure it is selected as your iPhoto Library, and then follow the instructions in this link:

How can I retrieve photos that were lost due to my 3GS going into recovery mode suddenly?

Yesterday I tried to open a couple of emails (that I get on a regular basis) but they didn't open; instead my. Mail just shut right down. I then realized I hadn't powered down in a couple days so I decided to power down and I plugged it in to charge as well. Within 20 mins it went into recovery mode. I've (my boyfriend) been able to restore the phone and update it but of course I had many photos on there that had not been backed up to iTunes yet.
Is there anyway to recover these lost photos??? Help please they are very important to me and I would like to get them back if its possible.

IF you backed up the phone prior to deleting the photos, you may be ableto restore them using your backup. If you had photo stream turned on, they may be in your photo stream.
