Can't rotate in CS3

Trying to Transform...Rotate a selection in a tif file in CS3. It skews instead. Even happens when I enter a numeric value to rotate. The Skew tool distorts the file. I had been using PS7 until last week when I was forced to buy an Intel-based Mac. Had no problems at all. Any clue?

I did choose rotate. It skews. When I choose skew, it distorts. Neither skew nor rotate work properly. Maybe I wasn't clear. Sorry.

But you still can buy CS4 i think and than you have CS5 for free.
And yes CS3, 4 and 5 are way better than CS2. CS2 was the worst CS version there was even CS1 was better than CS2.

Not sure which product you have (suite or standalone), but they all have different upgrade prices depending on which version you already own. You can upgrade directly from CS3 to CS5. It'll be more expensive than the CS4 to CS5 upgrade, but cheaper than upgrading to CS4 first, then to CS5. The last option would assume that you can even find a copy of CS4 to purchase.

I have to send an idoc to 2 Receivers by spliting the message.
Based on the occurance of a particular source segments i need to create those many instance of targets.
IDOC ---> Rec1 (More than one message instance)
     ---> Rec2 (More than one message instance)
I have taken messages of Receiver into a multi line container1
and messages of Receiver 2 into another multi line container2.
HOW can i rotate the loop as many lines of multi line container.

There are two webservices are 2 receivers.
In the idoc there is specific segment , which occurs unbounded,Each occurence we Need to check the value of a particual field and send to corresponding Receiver.
For Ex:
ZE1KONH (1..Unbounded)
   >MSFGN =004 --> Rec1
>> MSFGN==0009 Rec2
It could be like , 1 or more segm for Rec1 and 1 or more segm for Rec2
                        all are for Rec1 or All are for Rec2.
so in the tranformation we need to put all message of Rec1 in corresponding multiline container as well for Rec2. Then i need to send to correspongind Receiver.
So here i need to send all splited messages to appropriate receivers

It's a waterfall, I filmed it vertically, but it displays horizontally. Full Edit doesn't work on film clips and the rotate option is greyed out.

That hardware button can actually be toggled to work either as a mute button, or a lock orientation button. This can be edited at the settings screen.

Can't install Photoshop CS3 on Windows XP SP3

Hello, I recently have reformated my machine and installed XP SP3
sadly now, I can't install Photoshop CS3, when I double-click on Setup.exe, it show me a small bar/dialog which tells me it's extracting files, but after that, NOTHING HAPPENS
I left it for an hour, and again, nothing happens. I checked my Task Manager and I found that Setup.exe and Msiexec.exe are running but with completely 0% of system resource.
I tried everything possible, nothing worked for me, I really need Photoshop CS3 for my work.

I hear ya. that's on an existing system with an upgrade. i've solved (well, resolved) a remote desktop problem with a rollback to sp2.
but on the clean xp pro sp3 system (1st app install after anti-virus and firewall), the cs3 install took about 10 minutes. very fast very smooth.

How can I get a downloaded document to open so I can permanently rotate it?

I get the following message when attempting to open a document in Adobe XI, "There was an error opening this document, access denied". How can I open the selected document and permanently rotate it 180 degrees?

For the first problem (not opening) try this.
- Open Adobe Reader XI
- Go to Edit - Preferences - General section
- Uncheck the option called "Enable Protected Mode at Startup"
- Save the changes, close Adobe Reader and it should be fixed.
As far as rotating, you can only rotate the view for the current session with Reader. It will not be saved once the document is closed.

CS3 and PowerPC Mac - can't get Photoshop CS3 to install

I'm using a PowerPC based Mac - OSX v 10.4.11. I tried to install the CS3 suite - some apps installed fine, some did not. Photoshop CS3 did not install. Now when I try to use PS CS2 quite a few features are missing, particularly in the filters menu. Has anyone seen this? Please help!

You almost certainly will have to remove CS3 from your System before you can re-install CS2. After you have installed CS2, you can then re-install CS3 in addition.
Use the Adobe Uninstaller and run the CleanScript as well for good measure.

I tried both ways and neither works. It gives me a prompt box that I have to click "next" for every page but after going thru all pages, nothing is sent to the printer.
Also, all directions I've read indicate it will print to the default printer. If my default printer is on a network, will that cause problems....
and...
should I be getting a prompt box on every page? I thought all this would happen behind the scenes and not force me to interact with every page.

Adobe Reader Touch (Windows Store app with "Modern" UI) for Windows 8 is a relatively new product, which was introduced in December 2012. Adobe Reader XI, X, or older is a completely separate product - a traditional desktop app with classic UI. The desktop version has been available in the market for 20 years (!!) and it does not share any common components with Adobe Reader Touch.
Adobe Reader Touch does not support page (view) rotation yet.
For Windows 8, you can download and install Adobe Reader XI from the link below.

Got this issue for when example I got a square at about lets say 30 degrees ; the bounding box of it at another random angle different from the 30.
When I try to rotate to 90 degrees it';ll just rotate from my current position .
My question is : How do I rotate to a specific angle if its posible to 90 or 0 as to get it on a straight angle and then move it to the angle I desire ?

Smart Guides are your friends.
You may:
1) Object>Transform>Reset Bounding Box to remove the mess.
Then you may:
2) Use the Line Tool and drag an auxiliary line horizontally from the left/lowest corner to a distance that is a bit shorter than the side length; Smart Guides show the line to follow;
3) Use the Rotate Tool, click the end at the left/lowest corner of the auxiliary line and drag the other end up to the side; Smart Guides say intersect when you are there;
4) Delete the auxiliary line;
5) Object>Transform>Rotate insert 90 and - before the current angle (which is positive if the left corner is lowest, see below).
Illy rotates from the current position/angle, so this is a way to determine the actual angle of the square and use that to rotate from. When you rotate the auxiliary line to fit the lower side in 3), the rotation is identical to the current angle, which is saved and appears in 5); then you can just subtract it from 90 degrees by inserting as described.
Obviously, the figures in 5) are based on the presumption that the square is iinitally rotated somewhere between 0 and 90 degrees counterclockwise (positive). If it is rotated clockwise, using the left corner in 3) will yield a negative angle, which may be subtracted from the 90 (90 - - something works as 90 + something), so you can work with a negative angle.
