Can't run, but have XP
OK, sorry for the classic "probably been answered but posting yet again" noob thread mistake, but I don't care. I'm poor and $100 is a lot for me.
Anyway, I'm running PE8 with:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core 3800
1 Gig of Ram
Plenty of HD
Upgraded to a PCI Express NVidia GeFOrce 210, 1/2 gig 64 bit ddr2
I know this isn't enough for HD, but I don't need that right now.
I have the updated NVidia driver (196 ish)
I did the six .dll files thing.
I can open and operate Organizer, no problem
I can NOT open a project, whether through the welcome screen, or through organizer File>New>Video Project
If it helps, it seems to stop trying to open a new project when it says "Loading Audio Only".
When I installed the video card, I did have to go through the BIOS to get my audio back on track, still don't know why.
Anyway, please Sherlock me to success. I have old Premiere Pro 2.0, and it's just too cumbersome to use, plus it's uber glitchy.
On a total side note, can I PLEASE use this product, if ever, offline? Please!
The first thing that I would contemplate would be any running programs, or Processes, that load at boot up. This ARTICLE might give you some tips on setting up your computer, and also preparing for an editing session.
I am assuming that you have gone to the mfgr's. sites and have installed the latest Video and Audio drivers. Also, the assumption is that you have the very latest version of Apple's QT Player installed.
Also, is this a PrE 8 Project, that you are trying to edit? What are the source media files in it?

PS - what do you find wrong with PrPro? The reason that I ask is that PrPro 2.0 is my main NLE program, and I just love it. I run it on two XP-Pro SP3 boxes, and seldom have issues.

#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.

Oim_server1 and soa_server1 show running but have failed deployments
RHEL5 64bit
DBS: 11.2.0.1
RCU: 11.1.1.5
JDK: 6u24
IDAM Suite: 11.1.1.5
IDM: 11.1.1.5 (after 11.1.1.2 patchset)
SOA: 11.1.1.5
WLS: 10.3.5
We have installed IDM11g (11.1.1.3) several times before with success. We decided to try and move to 11.1.1.5 install. Follwoing the docs (we think we have the correct one -- besides, not really all that different from 11.1.1.3), we got everything installed and all processes (oim, soa, oaam_admin, oaam_server, oam, and AdminServer and wls_ods1) are listed as running in the EM Console and WLS. However, the oim deployemnt for oim_server1 and the TaskDetails deployment for soa_server1 are listed as down in the EM Console and the Servers/Deployment tab on WLS.
We have tried to restart the servers multiple times from the command line with startManagedWebLogic.sh, EM and WLS -- without a change in the outcome.
When we checked the logfiles, soa_serve1 listed an error for TaskDetails:

Both of these errors refer to "oracle.wsm.policyaccess" and WSM-06303 error. Also The oim error describes oim as "Version 11.1.1.3]... but we installed 11.1.1.5.
Any ideas what might be preventing these deployments from starting? We cannot access the oim console at this point. We get an Error-404 when we attempt it.

Since 10.8.3 update I can't run Java - have other people the same problem?
Does 10.8.3 not support the latest Java version? It tells me "inactive plug-in".
Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Or do I need to wait until Java comes up with a new versionNo, it has nothing to do with being Friends or not.
There are more and more security issues with java, Oracle comes with updates almost every few weeks. Until lately Apple had it in theuir distribution system, but because of the security issues decided that it was not good business to distribute automatically this leaky system. So with new system updates the Java is removed to make sure the customers reinstall the latest version. You can download from both Oracle and Apple, but don't download from any other source.
Luckily I do not need it anymore and have not installed Java since a few months. -
Why are my pics not showing up as the most recent pics uploaded? I can find them but have to search
I'm using PSE7 and first off, the program has been letting me upload pictures directly from my camera. I now have to load them from my computer then from my computer to PSE7. Once uploaded they used to pop up as the most recent loaded, now I have to search for them. Any suggestions?
In the organizer there is a option to change the view by Date (Newest First) or Date (Oldest First), you can change the settings inside the Organizer to change the view.

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these steps in order until the issue is resolved.
If they do not resolve the issue, take the device to Apple for evaluation and possible replacement. -

I have been trying to start my SAP test instance on a local computer, but it does not work. I can see "Running but bad dialog queue time: 12.00 sec". This was working a few weeks ago, but now it doesn't anymore. My initial assumption was the database was filled, but I checked that and it seems ok, there is still space for data and logs...
I have checked the dev_disp log and I can see these:

Why Mac Pro's 1,1 from 2007 can't run Mountain Lion?
I understand that they can't run, but nobody is able to explain why. I can't just through my Mac Pro in garbage because I can't upgrade. Why do I have to upgrade? Well, Sibelius 7 works only in Mountain Lion, and soon, many other software will.
What do I have to change in my mac pro to make it compatible for upgrading to the latest version of mac?

If this just started, and before you could send and receive just fine, then it is a problem with Mac Mail.
It is IMHO one of the Worst Mail programs ever written.
You are not alone this ends up happening to a lot of Mac Mail users, for No good reason.
It is not you ISP, it is not your settings. It is Mac Mail just decides to stop allowing you to send mail.
If you want it to never happen again stop using Mac Mail and find another Mail program. Any Other Mail program. -
i have a mac osx version 10.6.8 no windows installed and i am trying to install a program but keep getting can not run in dos mode ( the disk says on back works on intel mac with parallels or vm fusion) is this program not compatible with my mac?
You run Windows in Parallels or Fusion. Then in Windows you install the program.

How do I transfer my checked songs from one computer to another - tried exporting library playlist etc but no luck! Please help! I have 26,000 songs - 17,000 are selected and I can't run down the list on my new computer and re-check 17,000 songs! Thanks!
Make a smart playlist of your whole library but only checked songs - #4 on http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1801
Highlight all files in that playlist, then drag to the other drive. This isn't preserving any playlists or whatever, just copying files from one drive to another.
You might want to delete the smart playlist this once you are done because it will probably gobble up resources with that many files. -
I have a power Mac G4 with a mirror front running 10.4.9. How current of an OS can I run on this machine? I want to put it back into use but need to upgrade the OS so that I can run the newest version of Quickbooks amoung other things.

I have an aluminium Macbook Pro 15" from around 2009 currently running 10.5.8. Apparently I need to be on 10.7.2 to get into iCloud. And I can only run 10.7.2 on a Core 2 Duo machine or above? System Profiler says my machine is Core Duo, but also says it has 2 cores - can I run 10.7.2 on this machine? Any feedback welcome.

I cannot install iTunes 10.5. I can download it, but when I go to install it says that a program cannot be run and it won't give the name of the program. I have the Windows Vista 64-bit system.
That would be my first guess. You might be trying to install the 32 bit version of the program.
Update the thread with more info on your apple software etc if its a 64 bit install you're trying to perform. -
