Can't run dipassistant on windows

Hi,
Im trying to run the dipassistant command but getting the following error although i have set the ORACLE_HOME
E:\Oracle\Product\10g\Orainfra\BIN>dipassistant bs -cfg %ORACLE_HOME%\ldap\odi\samples\ad2oid.properties
dipassistant ERROR: The specified file does not exists: E:\Oracle\Product\10g\Orainfra\BIN\OracleProduct10gOrainfraldapodiconfactivechg.map
advise please

Thanks to the much more helpful forum at flashkit.com, I have
found some answers to this problem. Apparently ASDOC is not
compatible with Java Runtime Environment 6 so I had to uninstall it
and install JRE 5 instead.

How do you create a program in Labview that can be run as a Windows Service?

I would like to create a Labview program that can be run as a Windows service. I have read the following Knowlegebase articles and have done what they say.

When trying to start the service I get an error that says the program didn't respond to the start in a timely manner. I also set the "run when opened" parameter in the VI. I am programming in Labivew 2010, proffesional version. The server is running Windows Server 2008. Can anyone help? Is the ini file important in Windows Server 2008?

I haven't looked through all those links. But I have created Windows Services from LabVIEW executables way back when WinXP came on the market.
The problem with services is that they have no UI. So you can't really see what is going on. Your EXE might be failing or hanging due to some kind of error (most liklely a security/permissions error), but you can't see the error. So my advice is to either:
1. Have your EXE write lots of info to a log file. Write info that log every step in the application. If an error ocurrs, have it write the error info to the log file. That is a very useful debugging tool.
2. Use VI Server functions to monitor the service to see what is going on.

Yes you can. If you have two 2003 AD servers currently and upgrade one of them to 2008 AD then they'll continue to be able to work together. The domains functional level will remain as 2003 across both servers so at this stage you won't get any benefit from
the new AD functionality available in 2008.
Once you've then upgraded the second 2003 server to 2008 you can then upgrade the functionality levels in AD to make it 2008. It's been a while, but I believe it doesn't happen automatically, so once all AD servers have been upgraded you have to go into
AD and upgrade the functionality levels yourself.

Well I'm not to sure by what you mean "Which games run on Mac". There are not many that run on Mac that are that great although there are a few. Mostly for any great games you would need to run Boot Camp. Keep in mind though that you still need a version of Windows, so if you don't have one laying around somewhere you still have to buy that. Can you run labview on Windows Tablet PC Edition?...or does LabVIEW executable and Run-time engine operate with this OS?

LabVIEW 7.x will run without any problems on a Windows Tablet PC with SP1. There have been documented issues with Windows XP SP2 and LabVIEW subsequently not exiting properly--LabVIEW's window closes but somehow it is still present in the task manager.

I had installed Itunes working properly until last week, with my Ipod Touch. Recently I tried to upgrade the Itunes and after that I can't run it. Supposedsly Itunes was installed but don't run.
Please help me to fix this problem.

I've been having the same issues for the past year and a half. I've spent 6-8months trying to figure it out. Went to various Itunes stores with pictures on my Iphone per each step so I could relay all information that I'd come across and the personnel were less than helpful, after conversations that would sometimes last an hour between myself, employees and managers they always came back to "simply uninstall then reinstall" when I told them for the thousanth time that I've done that multiple times and my errors are happening while trying to reinstall it they act stumped and say "well then I'm not sure, I'll give you a call if I figure it out" and disappear. I've been very disatisfied at the lack of support from Apple and if Android to piece together a reletively reliable phone I'd switch to them in a heartbeat. I'll follow this question incase someone can answer this, but I don't have much faith.
BTW, wifey has Windows 7 running on the laptop and my phone syncs just fine to that and no trouble with itunes, just mine (desktop).

Can not run application on Windows

What's wrong with my windows system.
I compile the java files in linux and put the class file to the windows system. But the class file can't run correctly. The error is following:

Well I can see a problem, though I don't know
why you should get the symptoms you are getting. You
shouldn't be adding components directly to a JFrame,
you should add them to the content pane
(getContentPane().add(..) )That was changed in JDK 1.5. It's now ok to add directly to the component.

Can not run multiple firefox windows with version 4

After the upgrade to FF4 the problem started happening. In ver 3 I used the profile manager and was able to run 2 firefox windows at the same time with no problems in Windows 7.
Now when I try to do this with version 4, one firefox window errors out with 'firefox stopped working'
I thought it was due to an incompatible add on or something, so I did a complete program removal, rebooted, cleaned the registry and removed all folders that firefox put on my system. The problem continues.

You can only run multiple version at the same time if the next version is started with the -no-remote switch added to the command line in the desktop shortcut.

Thanks for helps.The MS version of Java was not up to date, and for most purposes (like using in Java 2 technology) you have had to download a Sun or IBM JVM anyway. The fact that Microsoft doesn't have a JVM is fine with me save the lack of a JVM in IE 6.x.
