Can't run projector on Win 2000

Hi,
Does anyone know why I get a message about my projector not
being a valid
Win32 application when I try to run in Windows 2000? I'm
using Director MX
2004.
I think I heard about some fix, but can't remember it.
Thanks,
Brian

Hi.
Strange. The fact that you can't run as an Windows service tells me something may be
wrong with your os. Is it possible to try a different windows machine? This is not a
known issue - noone else is reporting this.

When I attempt to open WebLogic Console for default server running on WIN 2000

The instruction at "0x004001ec" referenced memory at "0x00000004". The memory
could not be "written."
I was able to run console in the past no problem. I am running WLS 6.1 (sp1)
WIN 2000 Prof on a laptop with 512MB RAM. I am not sure where the memory conflict
is occuring.
Also, I am no longer able to have WLS start as an NT service. I can only start
it from the command line (or WLS icon in program group).
Anyone help me out? I've already uninstalled, re-installed several times to get
past this, without any luck!

  • Can I install BDK on Win 2000

Hey, I tried to install BDK1.1 on Win 2000 but I encountered plenty of problems
    1. Cannot find JVM during installation
sol: I select java.exe from jdk directory manually
    2. after install, cannot makeApplet, always give the IO exception when I try to makeApplet from BeanBox. Anyone knows the reasons
    Thanks

    Hi,
I like to elaborate my problems further. pls advise
I try to install DBK1.1 and i encountered some problems.
    1. During installation, JVM cannot be located and I manually choose
    java.exe at c:\jdk1.3.1_02\bin\java.exe
    2. after installation, i execute Beanbox and problems arise
    when I select makeApplet.
makeApplet process is not sucessfully and I receive the following error message.
    a. error dialog box
    "java.io.IOException: compilation failed!
    while generating data for MyApplet"
    b. DOS error message
"WARNING: Could not Runtime.exec<String> "javac" in the standard way: java.io.IOException: CreateProcess: javac -classpath tmp\myApplet\myApplet_files;classes;.;..\lib\methodtracer.jar:..\infobus.jar -nowarn tmp\myApplet_files\MyApplet.java error=2
Check that the version of "javac" that you are running is the one supplied with Sun's JDK1.x <which includes the compiler classes> and not some other version of "java" or JRE shipped with some other product."
How do I solve the above problems?

  • Can't install QuickTime on Win 2000 PC

I've tried 3 times to complete the installation of Apple's QuickTime Player and iTunes on a Windows 2000 Pro SP4 PC. (They're bundled together in the download.) It started easily enough with the InstallShield Wizard starting up. It proceeded through designating the destination folder. Next a Window popped up saying "Please wait while Windows configures iTunes." Twenty minutes later that message was still there. That's when I gave up and clicked on Cancel. (Should I have waited longer?). Next an iTunes windows popped up saying "Cancelling. It stayed and stayed. I had to resort to Task Manager to get rid of it, which wasn't without some hitches.
I downloaded this package a second time and tried again with the same results.
I have no idea what is happening or why. Is the culprit Windows, iTunes, Apple, me or some combination of two or three?
I have installed and upgraded this software on a Windows XP Home Edition PC with no difficulty. I'd like to run QuickTime Player on this Win 2K machine. Does anyone have any idea of what to do next?
BTW I downloaded Quicktime 7 and tried to install it. I was told that QT 7 already was installed. I found a QuickTime folder in Program Files, but nothing was in it. I got a message saying that QT wasn't properly installed. I deleted the folder and tried again only to get the same message. Maybe there's something in the Registry or somewhere else. As long as it's there, I'm not going to be able to install QT 7, or so I figure. ???

I really don't know why it wouldn't show up under Add/Remove programs. When I had a similar problem, I had to remove/reboot/reinstall, but you don't even have the option to remove!! And you can't reinstall because there's already something there... have you tried doing a search for quicktime on your HD and deleting everything you found?

  • Can't run Photoshop on win 7 64 bit - licensed creative cloud member

Starting today I have been unable to run photoshop cs6 and can't find a work around.  I have logged into my creative cloud account and reviewed adobe forums for solutions.  Very, very frustrated with adobe licensing model.
Message comes up indicating that I have "trial version" of software (I do not).  When I try to "license this version" I can only input a serial number - unable to input my creative cloud password.
Right now I am uninstalling photoshop and I will try re-installing using the adobe application manager - which I can sign into using creative cloud membership.
    This sucks!

Make sure to install the latest PS updates. There was a bug in the 13.1 update that got fixed in the immediately following 13.1.1 patch. Otehr than that going  back and reinstalling seems just as good...

  • Running Oracle on Win 2000 Pro.

Any one come across this error: ORA-03121 no interface connected - function not performed. Microsoft odbc driver maagement drivers SQLSetConnectArr failed.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
The ora-3121 basically means that the ODBC driver cannot find the Net working layer. Please make sure the oracle client and networking components are installed, they are required. Also, the ODBC driver needs the OracleHome\bin in the OS path.

  • Can't Run my programs on Win2000

Hi I developed a program on my win. 95 computer with JDK1.2. It worked fine on my Win95 PC but it doesn't run on my Win 2000. When I try to get open the html file through my brawser,IE6,the gray applet window appeas blank and the status bar says the load class file was not found.
All the required files are in the folder; I checked it out.
I just upgraded my PC and updated all the required patehes for Windows 2000 from the Microsoft Web site.
    Any ideads?
    Thanks

Did you install any JDK or JRE >= Java 1.2 ?
The Microsoft JVM of IE 6.0 can't be used if you've compiled your classes for JDK 1.2
I've noticed that Microsoft Updates and Patches somtimes seem to modifiy any registry entries so that the JVM does not work properly an longer. You'll have to reinstall the Sun JVM afterwards ( if you don't know which registry entries are modified by the microsoft install routines)

  • Tomcat in MS Win 2000 Professional

    Hi, all!
Do anyone know how can I run Tomcat in Windows 2000 Professional, so that it stills running even after logging out an account?
    I'll aprecciate some help. Thanks.
    Bye!
    adriano

If you are running it on a server or a machine which multiple users use, i suggest you add tomcat as a service, however it will not work if there is nobody logged on.
Another way is to use terminal services to log in, run tomcat and disconnecting your session without logging off. This ensures that tomcat will stay running unless the machine is shut down.
    Hope that helps.

  • MS-6367 USB and Win 2000 drivers

Hi, can someone point me in the right direction here.
I have an NEC Powermate XL4 which has an MS-6367 (MSI) NOVA motherboard. I bought it with Win XP Home and the original NEC CD which contains XP drivers.
I recently installed Windows 2000 Professional and loaded the nforce drivers from the Nvidia website which seems to have installed OK. I'm having problems with a USB2 pci card as the external hard drive attached to it seems to be losing power (although it has an external power source) when transferring large files. It seems to work ok on the inbuilt USB1 ports though.
I'm wondering if there is a problem with USB in general on this PC, as it seems to be using standard Win 2000 USB drivers -I can't seem to locate Win 2000 drivers for this motherboard. I'm a bit confused with the USB information in device manager. I have the following listed:
Standard OpenHCD PCI to USB Host Controller
Standard OpenHCD PCI to USB Host Controller
    USB 2.0 Root Hub
    USB Root Hub
    USB Root Hub
    USB Root Hub
    USB Root Hub
VIA PCI to USB Enhanced Host Controller
    VIA USB Universal Host Controller
    VIA USB Universal Host Controller
This is how it looks with 4 inbuilt USB ports and the PCI Card which has 3 external and 1 internal USB2 ports (an Innovision DM8007). Does this look correct?
    Thanks
    Dan

    Thanks,
Sorry, I meant to say is that I could not find any Win 2000 drivers for the motherboard and that the Nvidia drivers were all I could find and install which seem to only relate to the video, sound and onboard network controller.
The USB card does come with drivers, but I was thinking that there maybe something wrong with the way the motherboard is operating and that maybe I'm missing specific Win2k drivers for this particular motherboard.
I'm about to test a newer driver for the PCI card to see if that sorts it out.
    Thanks
    Dan

  • How can I run a Flash Projector(exe) under GNU/Linux without wine?

I was received a flash on projector type(exe), there's no another swf file on there.
I'd like to ask: How can I run that on a Linux?
Thanks for reading and paying attention.

This sounds like a question for the linux distribution forum that you're using.  The .exe is a stand alone executable, if you can run win32 binaries then you should be able to run this.
    Thanks,

  • Win XP Client Cannot Connect to Mac OS X 10.4.4 Server but Win 2000 Can

Anyone run into this problem? Just basic Apple/Windows stand alone, no domain or interaction with other Windows Servers. User can log on fine with Windows 2000 client, but same user cannot connect with Windows XP client on same network.
    Any workarounds out there?
    Mac G4 MDD, 1GB RAM, 80MB main drive, 400GB data Mac OS X (10.4.4)

I had trouble with a WinXP client a while back, and
only vaguely rememeber things I did to fix it. I'm
thinking it's the Win system, not the Mac. On the win
machine, try deselecting the box "Enable IEEE 802.1x
authen. for this network" in the Properties >
    Authentication tab for your network
    interface.
Thank you for the suggestion. It worked!

  • BootCamp or Parallels running Win XP & Win 2000 Pro on MacPro Xeon Chips?

I know that BootCamp (BC) only allows XP on the Mac. I currently run the MacMini (for testing) and the MacBook with Parallels using WIN XP and 2000 Pro. However, does anyone know if Parallels Desktop (PD) will run WIN 2000 on a MacPro since it now ships with the Intel Xeon chips as opposed to the Intel Core Duo chips recently shipped in the iMac, MacMini, and notebooks?

You'll probably want to address that question to Parallels. I can't see anything on their site that mentions the new Mac Pro, so you'll want to confirm with them that the current version of Parallels Desktop is compatible with the Mac Pro and if there are any limitations re. the OS versions Desktop can run.

How can I run a vga monitor and projector together on my Mac Pro OSX 15"?

You can upgrade to Snow Leopard, Lion or Mountain Lion (coming next month), but you need Snow Leopard to upgrade to Lion or Mountain Lion. Check this web to know how to add memory to your computer and the memory that it supports (probably, 3 GB).

  • How can I run a java-application on starting of Windows 2000

How can I run a java-application without any user on starting of Windows 2000?
For example, if the computer is restarted and nobody enter into it yet, my java-application should run anyway.
    How can I do that?

Hi, you have to put it in a Windows service.
To do this you have a program, Srvany.exe that allow to insert a .exe or .bat program in a Windows service.
For example, i develop a program, TomcatGuardian and i put it in a service because i need to run it in a server without Administrator logged in.
