Can't run sample1.pc of ..\precomp\demo\proc

Hi,
My developing environment is on UNIX system.
I have successfully compiled/linked the "sample1.pc",
which is located in "$ORACLE_HOME/precomp/demo/proc",
by entering such command line:
make -f demo_proc.mk sample1
However, I failed to run it. The following error messages
were shown as follows,
$ .... -->./sample1
exec(): 0509-036 Cannot load program sample1 because of the following errors:
0509-150 Dependent module /u01/oracle2/OraHome/lib32/libclntsh.a(shr.o
) could not be loaded.
0509-124 The program is a discontinued 64-bit object file.
Moreover, I found taht the "libclntsh.a" really exists in /u01/oracle2/OraHome/lib32!!!

Can anybody run Oralce(8.1.6) demo code about embedded SQL without any problem?
It seems that I'm unlucky.
I need to write a small embedded SQL program (Window 2000 / VC++6 compiler) that can connect to the Oracle server on the LAN. So I try to begin from the demo code which provided by Oracle. Precompiler and VC++ compiler process seem OK (only adjust the precompiler's default path to the correct path which contains the head files). So I can get the exeacutable file.
But when I run the exeacutable file, error occurs! ORA-12560. protocol adapter error!
The SQL Plus works fine. The whole system is new and clean. After tracing the operation, I find that maybe the protocol I'm using is: 'beq', instead of 'TCP/IP'.
A little bit further searching in Oracle document said that I may need to install JSB driver... But it seems that no related dll files in my computer... I'm totally lost here!
Can anybody help me about it!

Is there a reason that you can't use the newer 8.1.6.2 driver? Generally, Oracle doesn't make all the older versions available for download.

Usr/oracle/precomp/demo/proc not found

I recently installed Oracle 8i 8.1.7 (release 3) hoping it would be complete. But I get the same problems I did when I was using 8.1.6.2
Problem 1) can't connect with java(JdbcCheckup doesn't work)
and Problem 2) My Pro C compiler is not installed. The only thing under the 'precomp' directory is one for ott and under 'demo', some programs for sql. Why is this happening?
Why does the release notes say that the version comes with Pro C packages and yet it's not there?

Have a look at the package manager. To add the requested
products you have to install the packages from the cd's of your
linux distribution.

iTunes will run fine with the media on an external drive.
However, I suggest that a tablet computer with a tiny hard drive is not ideal as the primary computer for managing an iTunes library, even a small one. If you have another machine, perhaps a big, boxy, inexpensive old desktop with a decent amount of storage, that might be a better choice.

Hi,
We have had the same problem in a non-express application
with a heavy server partition. In our case, the error was not
systematic, depending on the server workload at the time we
tried to partition and run.
The work-around we're using is to put the -fm flags (increasing the x
parameter to say 30000) in the 'server arguments' of your server
partition
properties in the partition workshop. Note that if your server is a Unix
platform,
you need to put double-quotes before and after the parenthesis in the -fm
syntax.

I have a question about SQLJ in SAP NWDS.
1.I created a java dictionary project,and then create the table , then depoly it.it's ok.
2.I created a java normal project including the above java dictionary project.
3.I used the SQLJ tech in the java normal project,exporting the opensqllib.jar,sqljapi.jar,sqljc.jar,sqljimpl.jar.
4.I coded the normal project,and export the project .jar,everything is ok.

Why not try to import your SQLJ project in SAP NWDS. Add all the jars mentioned to the project path both for compile time as well as runtime. Now try running he project. Once you are able to bypass java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError, you will get other errors related to SQL statements. These Oracle SQL statements needs to be converted to OpenSQL format.

Hi, the work around suggested above should put you in working mode in the meantime. However to help investigate the issue it is possible to analyze what is not loading or taking a long time by analyzing the network traffic or http headers of the Nunit web page.

I get an error message saying that firefox is running and you can only run one at a time. I have uninstalled multiple times and can't figure out what is running. The is only one Firefox installed and it is not open. What does this mean and how do I fix it?

If you use ZoneAlarm Extreme Security then try to disable Virtualization.

You run Windows in Parallels or Fusion. Then in Windows you install the program.

since yesterday 08/10/2011 the Firefox window doesn't open at all I can't run safe mode or make other trubleshot changes. When I click on the desktop short-cut the Firefox windows starts loading but before open is crushing.I have sent several messages to you but no answer and my Firfox is not working.

Which version of Firefox and which OS are you using?
There are other ways of opening safe mode given at http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_Mode - See if that helps.

After closing the Firefox browser, a message appears "Severe error: Cannot load resource file; can not run". What could be wrong?

The message: "Severe Error; Can 't load resourse file; can not run" appears after closing Firefox4. All other applications on my pc do not have this problem.

I've found text of this error in npdjvu.dll plugin, remove it and error seems to disappear.
