Can't save a PDF data using Reader
I have downloaded a PDF form from a website but I can't save the entered data. Help please
You must ask the form author to Read extend the PDF using Adobe Acrobat or you can do that at your end using Acrobat. If you don't have Acrobat, please go ahead and download the latest version trial from Adobe.com
Steps
Open the form in Adobe Acrobat
Click on "File"-> "Save As Other"- "Reader Extended PDF"-> "Enable more Tools"
Click on "Save".
Now you can save the data in your form using Reader.

Set default reader extened to save a pdf form using reader?
is there a way to set it so all forms created are Reader exteneded so they can be saved. why is that shut off anyway? I want them to be able to save it and send it back to me? So now I have to go in an manually open each one andclick several options save it "AND" as a new file as well.
You have to create it yourself using a folder-level JavaScript. The script would use the app.addToolButton method to create the toolbar button and app.execMenuItem to trigger the corresponding menu item (e.g., Advanced > Extend Features in Adobe Reader or File > Save As > Reader Extended PDF > Enable Additional Features.) For more information, see:

Pulling at now and trying to get my money back... waste to much time already
Not sure what you expect. It means what it says - the font is not qualified for embedding, which has nothing to do with AI. It's a design feature of the font and the PDF format. You would have the same issues in any other program that adheres to these restrictions. You will have to use another font, though it is admittedly odd that something commonly used liek Myriad would give this warning...

Can't save a pdf file using the 'File' tab in FF4.
Clicking "Save Page As..." in the Firefox menu should work fine. However, if the server you are downloading from is set up incorrectly, Firefox might recommend a filename which does not have the ".pdf" extension (e.g. "get_file.php"). In this case type ".pdf" at the end of the file name.

I have just reinstalled Adobe Acrobat X1 and I can't save any PDF's that are emailed to me. I just get "This document could not be saves. There is a problem reading this document (21)" and then when I click OK i get "insufficient data for image" Help!
More information about this issue can be found here:
https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1672655
A "quick" fix that worked for me was to uninstall Adobe... then download the base install for Adobe Reader 11.0.
Then download each of the individual updates and run them sequentially.
I've installed back up to the last security update which is version 08 and have been able to do normal Save As operations.
You will have to disable automatic updates in order to stay at version 08 until Adobe resolves this issue in a later release.

Cannot save pdf files using Reader 9.1
I cannot save the pdf files from online journals as .pdf files using Reader 9.1 The only options it gives me are html or plain text. Previous versions of Reader saved the pdf files easily. Configuration issue?
What browser are you using? Are you positive that they are PDF files? If so, do you have a link we can look at?
Typicaly, if they really are PDF fies, that's the only option you get when you use fie>save as. If they're just web pages, you get the options that you mention. -
Acrobat 8.1 and Outlook 2007, still can't save as pdf
I have intalled Acrobat 8.1, and while all the PDF goodies seem installed in Word 2007, they are not installed in Outlook 2007. Still can't save as pdf in Outlook 2007.
I querried at MS Forums, only to be referred to Adobe Forums. --GJTo PDL
It doesn't matter what are the names of these forums. Major companies provide these *official* forums to harvest troubleshooting results of their products for free. You never be able to test your product on this number of various environment this much cheap.
Unlike their support services these "USER" forums provides them with those product issues they are looking for without ANY obligation to solve them or even accept their existence. And best of all they collect all these information at no cost.
However, in honest and considerate companies, development team members share their opinions with forum users. They even admit they are aware of issues but have no solution for them at this time. If team members do not have enough time for providing feedback, they somehow use *well-trained* individuals to discuss the issues.
Those companies do not "Read and Hide". They "read and discuss".
Anyway, unfortunatly, the links you found are not related to this discussion. They are about PDFMaker issue in other component of Office not Outlook. -
Can I convert a pdf to use in a powerpoint presentation
can I convert a pdf to use in a powerpoint presentation
..and now I can reply less cryptically:
Export to PowerPoint (PPTX) is available in Acrobat XI Pro.
The all-new Save As > Microsoft Powerpoint Presentation feature will not only convert an existing PDF file into an editable PPTX file, it will (try to) recognize elements and reconstruct Master Slides, re-convert Speaker Notes and convert things like tables into genuine PowerPoint tables. The feature works on both Windows and Mac. -
How can I save a PDF file sent to me in an attachment to my iPhone 5s
How can I save a PDF file or word file sent to me as an attachment directly to my iPhone 5s so if I want to read it I don't have to dig into my ail every time?
You will need to select the attachment and open in another app. If you do not have any apps that support PDF, Adobe reader for iOS is free.
For MS word files, you will need an app that supports those, like Documents to Go.
There is not generic file storage area in iOS, so you need to "open in" an app that supports that file type so that app can then add the file to its sandboxed local storage area.
If you need to markup the PDF, some good apps are GoodReader, iAnnotate, PDF Expert, GoodNotes - there are numerous others as well in the App Store. -
I am working with DITA files in Frame 8, and am unable to save a generated Frame file as a PDF. I keep getting these errors:
"To execute "Save as PDF" command you must have Acrobat Distiller version 5.05 or higher installed."
"To execute "Save as PDF" command you must have PDF Job Options defined.
I have Acrobat Distiller 8 installed, so I don't know why I'm getting the first error. I opened Distiller, and still got the error.
Also, I did try to set job options using Format > Document > PDF Setup. On the PDF Setup dialog box, the only job option in the PDF Job Options drop-down list was High Quality Print. When I clicked Set, I got a message stating that "The selected PDF Job Option does not existing in the current installation. Either create this Job Option or select an available Job Option."
How do you create a valid job option? How do you get it to show up in the drop-down list? I looked at the Adobe PDF properties in Print Setup, and the Default Settings show several job options including the High Quality Print option.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Structured files means you are working with DITA and tagging your
information. If you are working in Structured FrameMaker it will have
Adobe FrameMaker (Structured) in the title bar of your FrameMaker doc.
Attached is a screen shot of what structured FM looks like. If you select
View > Element Boundaries as tags and don't see something similar to the
attachment, you are working in regular FrameMaker. If you are working in
regular FrameMaker, then you might have better luck posting into that
forum.

Can't Save As PDF
I posted in the Framemaker Structured Forum. I have not received any
further responses.
We are using FrameMaker 8.0. I do not know what you mean by regular or
structured. We actually create a separate file for each state of the
directory. Each file is then made into a pdf file. The pdf files are
then joined together for the printer. Whether using the File Save As or
by using Select File - Print there are no errors received. It seems to
work fine, but when you open the pdf file there is random information
missing.... sometimes graphics, sometimes text.. not always the same if
you delete and start over....

How to save filled PDF in adobe reader 9.0
Can you please tell me how to save filled PDF in adobe reader 9.0 with all the filled details
You cannot buy 8 or 9.
In X (10 - which you can't buy either), you can do File > Save as > Reader Extended PDF > Enable additional features.
Important notes:
1. KEEP THE ORIGINAL. Once rights are added many kinds of editing are permanently locked out.
2. THERE ARE STRICT LIMITS on the number of people who can save a form. Details in the EULA: check it carefully (or have a lawyer check it).
Also note that Reader XI can save forms with no special preparation. -

Hello,
I got several updates last weekend. Since then I can't save my pdf files properly. Before everything was fine.
When I want to open a pdf now - a prompt pops-up, saying this:
Read-only document
To modify this document save a copy on your device. The document will be available to other applications on this device.
I found another thread which describes the same error - but I already have 11.7.1 with 4.4.2 and it does not work.
Can't save files or highlight them on Reader 11.7.0 in Kitkat 4.4.2 Acer A1 TabletAre these files stored on your external SD card or your internal storage? Android KitKat has added restrictions for third party apps from modifying content on the external SD Card. You can find some more information here: KitKat and SD cards — what's fixed, what's broken and what's misunderstood | Android Central
Could you please confirm if the issue exists for files on the SD card only?

Would like to upgrade to a new Macbook Pro machine/software. How can I save my quicken data from quicken 2006?
Users have reported that Quicken 2015 for Mac is an upgrade of the generally loathed Quicken Essentials for Mac.
I recommend you continue your Quicken operating experience by purchasing Quicken 2007 for Mac directly from Intuit for $15. It will open your Quicken 2006 file and operate as you have before.
To obtain Quicken 2007 for Mac for $15:
