  • Can't download itunes---security settings

I have been trying to download itunes 8 and a message keeps popping up that I can't download with my current security settings. Does anyone know what that means? or How I can fix it?
    Thank you

Hi Buddy, I have had this problem, and have no idea which settings it refers to. I have got around it however, by using Firefox as the internet platform to download it. Hope this helps, it certainly did with me. I was able to use Firefox (Mozilla), and it worked fine. Good luck

  • How can I save the Personal Settings done in the SAP standard viewer

    Dear All,
I am facing the problem that I am not able to save changes made in the personal settings of the SAP standard viewer. I want to change the Colors to monochrome and I also want to change the background. Unfortunatelly these changes are not saved and I have to do that every time I am starting the viewer.
How can I save these changes?
Thank you very much for your help.
    Best regards,
    Markus

    Dear Markus,
normally the personal settings for the ECL Viewer are stored in the registry. Here the value for background color is for example stored in the following directory:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/SAP/VCT_Retained/6.1/Common/de/ImageViewUtils
Depending in the language of the operating system the key has weither the value 'en' (english) or 'de' german.
So here the personal settings should be stored or can be modified directly.
    Best regards,
    Christoph

  • How can I disable the Security Settings popup in Acrobat XI?

We are currently using Acrobat X and are getting ready to upgrade to version XI. We dynamically set the security settings w/a button in the toolbar menu to secure documents. Works great. However, while testing the same functionality in version XI a popup always appears when this function is called. The settings are correct in the security setting popup but we do not need the popup to actually appear. Is there a way to disable the popup from appearing? It's confusing my users.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Adobe generally has quarterly updates for Acrobat/Reader. If they decide to fix this, I'd be surprised if it made the first one (January 2013?), so it would probably be more like April/July, but that's just a guess. When you submit the bug report, be sure to include how much this negatively affects your workflows and prevents you from upgrading.

  • Can I save custom export settings in QuickTime Pro?

I'm using QuickTime Pro a lot to export/convert  many different projects, but every time I need to change the export settings, because there is no way to save them inside QuickTime
I've found a description on how to do it wil Apple Script: http://lists.apple.com/archives/QuickTime-Users/2002/Nov/msg00295.html
But the problem is that it needs to run also Apple script to actually perform the export, and I don't want it - I'm not a scripter, and I need the settings to be easy to load.
I thoigh there is some prefs folder, where QT actually stores those default presets, where I can put some custom ones, but I didn't find such a folder...
Is there any way to do it?
    Thanks

QuickTime can only view WMP (Windows Media Player) files with third party software help:
    http://flip4mac.com
To use Pro to export these files to QuickTime formats you'll need to pay for the upgrades at Flip4Mac.
Not all WMP files are supported.

  • Can't save iCloud mail settings (to hide notes in inbox)

Want to hide notes in inbox - when unchecking in preferences and proceeding to save, I get the info "don't leave incoming server empty". But its pre filled an can't be changed...

You might want to try signing completely out of iCloud by going to System Preferences>iCloud, click Sign Out, choose Delete at all of the prompts (you data will still be in iCloud), then restart your Mac and sign back in.

  • Can't save quartz filter settings

Does anyone know why upgrading recently to Mountain Lion has killed my ability to save a new quartz filter setting in ColorSync Utility, so it isn't recognised by Preview? I need this to compress large PDFs when generating a monthly community magazine I edit and now have to use my wife's iMac, which is still running Snow Leopard. If this could be a corrupted settings file (eg. .plist), where should I look?

    What happens when you try?

  • How can I save audio midi settings OSX 10.7.4

Every time I boot my MAC PRO I have to go into "Audio MIDI Setup" from the utilities folder and reset the inputs and outputs of my Focusrite audio interface. It is always normaled to the "Built-in Device" and will not remember that i have reset it to the Focusrite "Saffire" OSX 10.7.4.
I had no problem in OSX 10.5.8
    Any answers here?

    Hi Jim,
    Try this:
While the Built-In device is selected, Open Finder, go to Macintosh HD > Library > Preferences > Audio, and trash both files inside that folder.  Then select your Focusrite interface, and run some audio through it.  Once you've done that, restart your computer and see if it holds up.

  • Can I alter security settings for multiple users of fingerprint reader on iphone 5 - i.e. if i allow my daughter to set her fingerprint, can I stop her from accessing itunes store to make purchases???

My daughter wants to access my iphone 5 by adding her fingerprint. Can I alter the security settings so that she cannot make itunes purchases etc?

Not if you want to be able to continue to make iTunes purchases too. You can lock out access to iTunes store using Restrictions (which always needs a passcode to change, Touch ID won't work for changing/removing Restrictions) but that means no one can use any of the restricted features.
iOS has no concept of multiple users with differing access levels like this. Touch ID stores multiple fingerprints, but they're supposed to be all from the same person, the device's owner, not multiple users.
You're going to have to buy your daughter her own iPhone... ;-)

  • Can't save proxies settings

Well my problem is simple to explain, but really hard to understand.
As the title sugests I can't save the proxies' settings. I need the proxies to be configures in a certain way to have internet in my college campus. I'm able to connect to the campus' wireless network and enter the college's sites because they are in their own server, but i need the proxies to be configured with a name and a port (that I know) to be able to surf the internet.
The problem is that when i enter network preferences, advanced, proxies, configure manually or with PAC file, i then it OK, Apply, and even close the lock so that it requeires password to change settings, but right next i click advanced and nothing was saved...
I can't understand if i'm doing something wrong or if this is a bug. I'm using the latest version of Leopard in a MacBook. Any help is apreciated

Are you using the "Automatic" location?
If so, create a new location first (call it College) through:
System Preferences -> Network -> Location -> Edit Locations...
Once you have created the new location, you will be able to save your Proxy Settings. Whenever you go to college, you then need to simply select: Apple menu -> Location -> College, and your settings will be picked up automagically.
    Cheers,
    Rodney

  • Need Help on How to Change The Encryption Key and or Change security settings

Hello, i just installed the wireless router and i would like to know how i can change the encryption key or change the security settings (i want it so you do not have to answer it with a password). Thank you in advance.

    Hi…
In order to change the wireless settings of your router you need to login into the router configuration page. Open your internet explorer browser…in the address bar type http://192.168.1.1 ( Default IP address). Leave the username field balnk……type admin as password (If you have not changed the router password). When the setup page loads fully…..click on the tab that says wireless. Just below the main tab wireless ….click on the sub tab that says wireless security. You can Change the wireless security settings here. After the changes are made click on save settings.

  • Removing security settings when exporting

i've created a form in Adobe FormsCentral, then realized I won't be able to customize the fields to achieve what I want in Adobe FormsCentral. Now I'm trying to edit this form in a trial version of Adobe Acrobat Pro. I saved the form as a pdf in Adobe FormsCentral, and did not use the  "submission-enabled" option.
But when I attempt to edit the form in Acrobat Pro by opening the form, then selecting Forms, Create, & Use current document, I am denied, with a security error that says "You cannot edit this file as a form due to it's security settings."
I can't find the security settings (or don't understand what I'm seeing) when I select Protection, More Protection... in Acrobat Pro. In fact, all Encrypt options are unavailable.  Document Security is already set to NO SECURITY. Of course, I found no way to remove the security from the doc beforehand in Adobe FormsCentral, either.
I'd rather not have to save the file as another format, then start from scratch, but I can handle it if I know there's not some trick I am missing.... is this a "mission: impossible" situation?

So awesome of you to ask! I had to report to Randy:It was operator error.
After I attached a file to his Email, I decided to test the problem again, one last time.
Lo & behold, no error that time! The difference? That time I had noticed the filename was different & located/opened the newly made copy.
When the new "copy of the file" is created, it is immediately closed. Of course you guys knew this, but I am a newbie, so I had been testing the tip on an identical -looking file, the original... because I didn't notice the difference in the file names, unfortunately. Dur. Dumb mistake on my part. Now I know that, unless I locate & reopen the newly created copy of the file, I'll wind up applying the tip on the original file.
Sorry for causing such a fuss!YOU GUYS ROCK!

  • How to change security settings in Flash Player if internet is unavailable?

I have a local html page that has an embedded .swf file,
which is also on my local computer. The .swf file is for local use
only when there is no Internet service available. The first time I
open the html page on an internet browser, IE, I got the Flash
Security prompt window, which asks me to change the security
settings. The setting change is done online under the url:
    http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager04a.ht ml
If there is no internet connection, how then can one change
the security settings so that one can access the local swf? Any
    help would be appreciated.

Do I really need to set security for my wireless connection. I searched for available WiFi in my area prior to installing my  network and none were available. Does that matter?
The network never did function right from the start. My desktop is a Dell Inspiron 510n and is not wireless capable? So when I tried to add my HP mni 1000 it did not let me access the Internet.
So now I have an unsecured network. Am I vulnerable to attack?
Which leads me to my real question How do I change the security settings?
Oh yeah, my home computer crashed due to a program I downloaded, so I do not have access to it. i'm a mess....
    Thanks,for any help
