Can't save website in Muse 7

Hi,
Since i've updated to muse 7 im unable to save my website/project. Neither save or save as works. Any solution to this? I hope its some kind of workaround since i guess restarting muse would result in loosing all the editing i've done since my last successful save?
Kindly
Fredrik

What's happening when you try to Save or Save As? Does an error appear? If so, could you provide a screenshot of the error?

Abhishek Maurya misled you by saying that you can export "as HTML and then upload it on any web host using any FTP client". They apparently do not understand what Joomla is.
The HTML that you export from Muse is a bit of a mess. You would need to be an advanced web designer to make sense of Muse's output and modify it for use in Joomla or any other CMS.

I was not fishing for you to mark my post as helpful or as an answer. I was just confused how Corey's post was flagged as the correct answer as soon as he posted it.

  • How can I save website icons

Hi, I tried this question in other forums with no success. How can I save website icons from Google, Yahoo, etc? All I get is the safari archive icon when I save a website to the desktop. Thanks MC

From memory favicons are about 17x17 pixels = very small.
OK, Save the site to Safari's bookmark folder as well as the desktop.
Use command shift 4, draw around the favicon showing in bookmarks to make a png copy on the desktop.
Drop the png into an app like ToyViewer and change to 128 x 128 pixels and add a custom icon.
You can then get info on the larger favicon and the normal weblock on the desktop and change the icon (copy & Paste)

  • How can I save a jpeg? Cntrl-click on does not work as it did in version 2

In Firefox 2 I could hold down the Control key and click on an image to open a window with a "Save as" choice. Then I could name the image and chose a location to save it to. In Firefox 3, the window opens as before but the "Save as" choice does nothing. So how can I save website images as jpegs in a specified location such as a folder on my hard drive or on a memory stick?

    Hi ddt333,
Base on my test again, I found that if the value of relative position is less than 1, it will uses the absolute position, you could change its position to relative position with the value less than 1 (e.g. 0), after save and re-check its position, you will
find that it still uses absolute position. By default it uses the absolute position, so when we add the new textbox to the document, its position is at left-top of document (left=0, top=0).
The RelativeHorizontalPostion property is used to specify its
relative to type (e.g. page, marging)
There are LeftRelative and TopRelative properties of shape, so please specify these properties’ value, then change
    relative to type of shape.

  • Can you build a mobile website in Muse and redirect to a desktop website which is not built in Muse?

    Hi
I am looking at the idea of extending my photoshop monthly subscription to one that will give me access to Muse and Illustrator etc.
I have been building mobile websites on a mobile platform and then redirecting these to clients desktop sites - this is an option for clients who don't want to go the whole hog with new web design.
Is it possible to build a mobile website using muse and then redirect this mobile website to an existing desktop site that has not been built on Muse?
    Thanks in advance
    Michele

You can certainly use Muse for hosting on other hosts as well. You do lose some of the functionality of Business Catalyst such as In Browser Editing. I just saw that you did your current one in Wordpress ... so I assume there is a blog?
If so, keep in mind that Muse alone does not have a blog feature. You can integrate a Business Catalyst Blog into it with a bit of knowledge on how BC works.

  • After making a website with muse and launching it with Business Catalyst. My website gives a notice: To change this page, upload your website into the public_html directory. How can i upload my website into the public_html directory?

    Hello,
I'm using a Mac and made a website with Muse. After making the website i published the site and launched this afterwards with Business Catalyst.
When i enter my website, i got the notification: To change this page, upload your website into the public_html directory.
Does anyone know how i can fix this? I'm a complete noob in this subject.
    Thank u for reading

Could you post a link please?
BC does not give that message - Would be good to see if it is indeed BC.

How can I save a website created on iweb, but that I no longer have it saved in my computer, so I can open it in my new computer  with iweb
and republish it on another server, since mobile me would be gone on jun 2012.

You need the Domain.sites2 file that's located in your Users/Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder in order to be able to manage and publish the site from another computer?
Do you have that file? If you do copy it to the same folder on the other computer and you're ready to go.
If not then you'll have to recreate the site from scratch.  Chapter 2.3 on the iWeb FAQ.org site has tips on using some of the existing files, image, audio, video, etc., from the published site in the recreation of the site. 1

You can bookmark all those tabs and place them in a folder.
    * "Bookmark This Page" and "Bookmark All Tabs" no longer show in the Bookmarks menu unless you open the Bookmarks menu via the keyboard (Alt + B).
    * "Bookmark All Tabs" can be accessed via the right-click context menu of a tab on the tab bar.

  • Can you sell an adobe muse website if the client does not have a license?

Can you sell an adobe muse website if the client does not have a license?

    Hello,
You can sell the website to the client, but if you give out the .muse file to the client, then they would need a muse license to be able to open that file in Muse and make edits to the website (in case they do need to make edits). If you simply give out the exported files, then they can upload the site to their host, but they would not be able to make too many edits to the website. The In Browser Editor is a feature that is available if the site is hosted with Adobe Business Catalyst, where they would be able to make certain basic edit/changes to the site.

    Hello,
Are you talking about placing Google map in Mobile page created in Muse ? If yes you can do this by either using "Google Map Widget" or by placing " Embedded code" created at any map site.
Here are the detailed steps for the same :

  • Can i save audio i stream from a website?

Hi Guys i recently found that through activity window in safari i can easily save video clips that that are posted on websites, so that i can play them back at a later time when i don't have internet connection, this is a really cool feature. I was wondering does anyone know if i can do something similar for streaming audio, basically so that i could listen to "listen again" type features while not actually online.
thanks in advance for your time.

True "streaming" media (served from streaming server protocols like RTSP) are not cached so you can only save a "link" to the file.
99.9% of Internet media isn't streamed. They download.

Hit the link for the PDF-you will be given option to open in safari or iBooks(or any other program able o open PDFs).
That's not what she asked about.  She asked about saving PDFs, not just opening them and reading them.  While Safari lets you open PDF documents, it does not let you save them.  In order to save them, you'll need to use a web browser that permits downloading.  I use Atomic Web Browser and can confirm that it does permit downloading and saving of PDF documents.

When you open a pdf in iBooks, it's automatially saved there.

  • In muse Can I save all of my pages in shtml

I have a site I have done in Frontpage 2003 and wish to convert to Muse.  All of the pages are shtml and are indexed by google with that extension.  If I change the extension I will loose my ranking in the search results.  Can I save the pages as shtml and if possible is there a setting which allows me to save all of the pages as shtml.

  • Can't save the website in native format, just publish??? why?

1- I can't save on a folder the work from iweb, in a native format to be update later.
2- Some server dont read rrs, the first line U8, all the time I need to go in another sofware to erase the first line in a code source.

I'm sorry, I'm not clear on what problem you are having here. Are you having trouble "Publishing to Folder" or saving your iWeb work?
2- Some server dont read rrs, the first line U8, all

first line in a code source.
Yes, this is a known WEBHOST SERVER problem. The following first line is on all iWeb generated pages: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
It is part of proper HTML formatting. It specifically tells a server what encoding to use for the document. Without it, a server goes into some kind of "strict" mode and interprets the document as best as it can. Some servers do not allow these kind of directives as you are experiencing. Here is a forum post that confirms the problem...
