Can't scroll articles at on-line newpaper website
I'm working with the startribune.com technicians on this one, but thought it worth checking with the discussion boards. I have a MacBook Pro with Lion, Safari 6.0.1. and Firefox 15.0.1. I regularly view the articles in startribune.com, but a few days ago I found I can no longer scroll any of the articles with either Safari or Firefox. It just applies to this website. Other sites scroll fine. I can scroll the home page, but as soon as I go to a specific article, I can't scroll with the trackpad, nor does the scroll bar show up, even thought my preferences are set to "Always." As I said, I don't have any trouble scrolling other websites. Incidentally, I had the same problem with a Windows laptop I use for work, but that has now started working normallly again. I have not installed any system or software upgrades lately. I'd like to be able to give the technicians some idea as to what to look for, but I'm stumped. So, thought someone out there may have experienced a similar problem.

Hi, Actually we tried fixing many different ways but the thing which worked was Built-in recovery Processes. Computer object that represents the CNO was deleted, you will no longer be able to create the computer objects associated with cluster CAPs.
First, you must engage a Domain Administrator to recover the deleted computer object from the DeletedObjects container in Active Directory. Then, after the object has been restored and re-enabled, you execute the Repair Active Directory Object process in
the Failover Cluster Management snap-in.

a node and the configuration database is corrupted, a minimal configuration template will be loaded using information contained in the HKLM\System\CCS\Services\ClusSvc\Parameters registry key. The node will attempt to join an already formed cluster and, if
this attempt is successful, a fresh copy of the cluster registry hive will be pushed to the node. If a node cannot join a cluster, the cluster service will be terminated.

I have a folio that uses smooth scrolling instead of page scrolling. The page is really long so I want to create a jump to menu that will jump down the page to the desired section. I thought that creating a text anchor destination would work, but after trying different ways I've found that it doesn't.

all web pages appear with a blinking cursor like in a "word document". i can't scroll down or up using the buttons of my key board. i have to pull down the scroll bar. something in settings has changed. how to correct it??

In Firefox 3.6 and later versions you can disable the F7 shortcut that toggles caret browsing by setting the pref accessibility.browsewithcaret_shortcut.enabled to false.
To open the ''about:config'' page, type '''about:config''' in the location (address) bar and press the Enter key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page. -

Preview on iPad through Folio Overlays window of smooth scrolling article (ex. 1024 x 2000 px) is not working anymore. Article is scaled and turned in vertical orientation. No problem with Folio Builder.

Curve 9320/9360 7.1 update issues - can't scroll!
Have had the same problem on some of our Curves with the 7.1 update. They can't scroll through text message/message conversations using the trackpad. With the 9360s its fine as if we downgrade to 7.0 the problem doesn't happen, but the 9320s come with 7.1 so there isn't an option to downgrade.

Can't scroll to all photos in project
On both my computers I have lost the ability to scroll to the bottom of my projects. There is probably some easy answer but I'm drawing a blank. The project shows there are 666 images but I can only scroll down to 230. The last line of thumbnails is half above the bottom of my screen like it wants to go further down but the scroll bar on the side says it's at the bottom.
What am I missing here?

JeffreyThis happens pretty frequently on my machines and it has for quite some time (over a number of updates, can't recall when it started). It seems to happen most frequently when viewing 'all images', usually 200 images are available via scrolling when 1000's are in the library. Sometimes it will self correct, other times toggling to other projects and back will do it.
Not really a big deal, but it is lame.
BTW, this has persisted after reinstalling the program and the system so... -
GNU Screen mouse scrolling shows only empty lines

I've got a problem with using my mouse wheel to scroll in GNU Screen.
This is the content of my .screenrc:

With this settings, It kinda works: I can scroll up, but instead of showing the previous output, I just shows blank lines.
I can actually scroll up by entering Screen's copy mode using CTRL-A ESC and then using the Arrow-keys or PageUp.
Furthermore, if I then scroll with my mouse wheel, I can also scroll the lines that were displayed in copy mode, but if I try to scroll further than I scrolled in copy mode, I still see blank lines.

No I think the problem is more basic than that...he's trying to use an ATi card and an Nvidia card simultaneously. Something that I don't think will work.
It also dependent on what drivers he is trying to use, as the (new) Nvidia proprietary driver only supports GeForce4 series chips and up...and the OP has an even older card than that. The legacy Nvidia-96.xx driver does support his chipset, but 96.xx does not work with Xorg1.8 last I knew. see: http://www.archlinux.org/news/502/

Firefox crashes and can't scroll anymore unless I force close the browser.
I'm on a Mac OSX and after I start firefox, I go to Youtube, and then the video starts lagging. After that, I can't scroll up or down. In that case, I have to force close firefox and it works again. A few hours later, the same thing happens. When I re-open, it shows the, "Well this is embarrasing screen."
it may be a malware.

In order to uninstall a possibly unwanted extension, please do the following:

I accidently turned voice over on,I've tried triple clicking the home button to bring up voice over options but doesn't work. I can't scroll down to get to Accesibility in genereal even with three fingers.

Thanks in advance! (this seems to be a dumb problem of the software having a life of its own!)I have been talking to Apple support about this very problem. So far they have asked me to disable both Firewall and Anti Virus software (Windows Firewall and ESAT NOD32 anti virus) - this didn't work. Rebuild my library - this didn't work. Un-install all Apple applications and re-install - this didn't work. I have created a second user account on my PC and from that account (both accounts set as Administrator) I can activate Genius. This suggests to me that the problem is possibly linked to my original User Account, which is the one I always use. I am waiting for the next update from Apple and will post an update if/when the problem is resolved.
What I also notice is about 2 seconds in to Step 2 of the Genius activation, the progress diagonal lines bar stops, and then starts again. As soon as I see this short freeze I know that the activation will fail. -

When I bring up Safari on my IPAD2, the web page comes up, but I can't scroll down the page. This just started today. No matter what web site I go to, the content is darker than the navigation pane.
If it's happening on all sites, then assuming that it's Safari that you're using, have you tried clearing it's cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cache (other browsers should have similar options, possibly within the actual app instead of within Settings). You could also try closing the app completely : from the home screen double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app (or whichever browser you're using) to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
If it's only happening on a particular site then there may be content on that site that isn't supported on the iPad e.g. flash, java, silverlight -
I have multiple lines for family members on my account. Can I still transfer upgrades between lines? I don't see the option any more.
