Can't search anything in App Store!! Help!!

Hi, I am using an iPad 2 and every time I try to search something it comes up with an error message (cannot connect to App Store) featured is fine and top rated is fine and I can download stuff but if I try to type anything in and search it.. It just doesn't allow it.. I have reset network settings turned it off and on.. Signed out of iTunes and back in.. Changed the date and time several times to different years and back and I have held down the home button and the lock button for 10 seconds until the apple symbol came up.. And still cannot connect to App Store when searching.. I updated my iPad to IOS 6.0.1 this morning and was able to search after but several hours later nothing! Is there anything else I can do?

Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it! It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

Are you listing the billing address for the card correctly? The address in the iTunes/MAS account must match the address on your bill exactly.

It is the same for the app store. You are required to have some sort of payment method in the record.

You must be within the Country with a Valid Billing Address and Credit Card for that Country to use the iTunes Store of that Country...

I can't download anything from app store and ibook , when I download something it keeps waiting and nothing happen I tried 3G and wifi and the same problem
I tried to rest all the settings and nothing happened

Try resetting the App Store.
Reset Learned from Old Toad
and you can try:
- Sign out of the App Store (in the Store menu)
- Quit the App Store
- In Finder - Go>Go to folder... (or Apple-shift-G)
- Paste in the following "~/Library/Caches/ "
- It will take you to a folder. Delete com.apple.appstore
- Launch the App Store.

today, I wanna update some software, when i bring up the Mac App Store, it will not let me click in the Search box. Also, when I click on "Categories" "Update", etc. at the top of the page, they will highlight but not go to those pages.

Just spoke with AppleCare -- turns App Store issue was their problem. It's been resolved and now works correctly. We're still working on the issue of all my mail disappearing.

Can't Purchase anything in App Store, Additional Security Information Needed

I am trying to make a purchase from the App Store in Snow Leopard 10.6.8, but can't make any purchases. When I try to purchase, I get the message, "Additional security information is needed. To use this Apple ID you must first login to the my info web page then provide additional security information." But when I click on Update Security Info, it brings me to a page at https://myinfo.apple.com/ but the page will not load, and it says that Safari can't establish a secure connection to the server. I have also tried it in Firefox and it does not work there either.
I went to the Apple Store online, and updated my account info with the proper credit card and information, but it has not helped. What is going on here.
This is for my bosses account and not my account, and we need to purchase some software for this machine, but are completely unable.
Any help would be appreciated.

I'm having the same issue. We have recently signed up for the Volume Purchase Program. I created the Facilitator account, logged into the VPP site, then got a message that additional information was needed.
When I click the link to "Update Security Info", I get an error page on the browser...
I have tried the same process in Firefox and received a similar message...
I then proceeded to try the same thing on a Windows 7 computer with Internet Explorer, no good...
Next, I thought the problem might be related to my firewall, so, I attempted it on a computer OUTSIDE the firewall, no good.
Then, I tried it from home on my ipad, no good...
Anyone have any ideas?

Can't download anything from App Store - MacBook

I've been using Windows 7 exclusively on my MacBook via Boot Camp for several years. I've since deleted the Windows partition. I ran a Software Update and am currently running OS X 10.6.8. I want to upgrade OS X further but can't download Yosemite (or anything) from the App Store. I click "get" and the button becomes unclickable but nothing happens. I also can't open iTunes.
I don't have anything on this computer that needs to be saved so I'm more than willing to restore, though I don't know how.

I'm having the exact same issue in the exact same situation.
I'm getting the error below in Console every time I try to install or download anything from the App Store. I suspect this has something to do with Safari and some Javascript code being used by Appstore pages.
I wish there was a direct link to download Yosemit. I'm stuck now...

When I try to search for anything in the App Store, nothing will ever show up.
When I'm on Facebook and there is a "suggested app" if I click it to go to the App Store, it just freezes my phone!.
Just want to know if I'm the only one having this problem

I am from Wisconsin and just got my ipone 5 on Oct 10th and I was able to search for apps but then all of a sudden on the next day, it wouldn't do any searching nor does it still search today. I've restarted my phone many times and it doesn't work. I've read some other posts online and they say it might be a server problem.

Do other apps connect to the internet ok ? If they do then see if any of the following fixes the store :
- tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and log out of your account and then log back in and see if the store then works
- disconnect and reconnect to your network (Settings > Wi-Fi)
- close the App Store app via the multitasking bar and see if it works when you re-open it : from the iPad's homescreen, double-click the home button to open the multitasking bar at the bottom of the iPad's screen, then :
iOS 7: swipe or drag the App Store app's screen from there up and off the top of the screen to close it, and click the home button to close the taskbar.
iOS 6 and below : press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the App Store app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
- a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

My Billing address is in Thailand and I can't update it right coz my country don't have "state" you only give me choice only in US.
And Try to change region to Thailand but I can't do it too. It tell me I got 2.50$ left I got to purchase for something.

Ok, so I figured it out. I checked my iPhone and it was having the same trouble. So I went to settings (on the iPhone and iPad) selected store and logged out of the store. Then on my computer, I logged in to iTunes. I went to buy something (a free item...doesn't have to cost anything) and it prompted me to update the payment info (essentially needed to add the security code to my credit card). Then I gave it a minute or two to process...just in case. Logged back in to my iPhone and iPad and everything is back to normal.
Glad it's working, but they should really fix that issue on the mobile devices. Luckily I have iTunes on a computer, so don't have that (they only have the iPad...which they wouldn't be able to update).

Does anyone else have any information with this issue? I was told there is a server problem that only affects users with 10.6.8. As I said, I can't even download a free app let alone anything else.
I click an app and I get the icon to download or install but it just sits there forever and does nothing.
I sure hope they fix this soon as I am dead in the water with trying to recover a major hard drive disaster!

With the apps i already have installed I can get the updates for the free ones but i cant update the ones I paid for. And now I can't even dload any new apps at all, neither free or purchase... ***.. Tried calling apple support but it just keeps ringing.. I can't wait on the phone all day!!
