Can't see AEB or AE when VPNed

I encountered a problem where I can't admin my AEB or use AirTunes on my LAN when I am VPNed in to work. I already had to download and use the old Airport Admin Utility and turn IPv6 config Off just to be able to connect to the devices to admin. I can admin the AEB and use AirTunes just fine when I am not VPNed, but AirTunes totally drops out when I am VPNed.
Is this an issue with my company's VPN policies or is there something I can configure on my side to get both to work simultaneously? The VPN client we use is Cisco AnyConnect, and there are no settings in the thin client UI that I could find.

This is most likely with the VPN connection type setting for your VPN client. Some clients provide a number of different connection types. Most typically, "tunneled" or "split-tunnel." With the "tunneled" mode all traffic goes through the VPN, and this sounds like what your Cisco client is defaulted at. Try to see if you have other options in creating your VPN connection to work.

Thanks for taking a stab at it: that didn't prove to be the problem. That option in the settings for tabbed browsing was not checked.
I may be a bit behind the times: I am used to tabbed browsing showing all the tabs it possibly can, instead of just the last one. Sometimes it won't even show the last tab: I can have 15 tabs open, and not see a single tab. I've been confused by this into closing a window with lots of tabs open, because it looks like a single page-window.
My main problem with the tab-bar flashing to the end of the row is that it means a great deal more mouse-clicking around to browse.
I haven't tried installing the latest beta. Maybe that would fix the problem.

Actually you’re not.
The iPhoto Window reports the size of the library that would result if you exported all the current versions +and nothing else+ to a folder on the desktop.
The iPhoto Library Folder contains the Original, Modified and thumbnail versions of your pics. It also contains various cache and database files +all of which are necessary+ for the working of the Library.
Don't change anything in the iPhoto Library Folder via the Finder or any other application. iPhoto depends on the structure as well as the contents of this folder. Moving things, renaming things or otherwise making changes will prevent iPhoto from working and could even cause you to damage or lose your photos.
You can run a Library on an external disk:
1. Quit iPhoto
2. Copy the iPhoto Library Folder as an entity from your Pictures Folder to the External Disk.
3. Hold down the option (or alt) key while launching iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library' and navigate to the new location. From that point on this will be the default location of your library.
4. Test the library and when you're sure all is well, trash the one on your internal HD to free up space.

Yes lucky me . If all troubleshooting has been done in Resolve iOS update and restore errors and if you have at least taken it into a store where they could try a restore themselves then that would suggest a hardware fault with the iPhone.
If you are out of warranty then it is correct that they would quote you an out of warranty service fee. From here it would be a matter of trying the steps above and if you have already tried then doing the service when you do have the cash.

Apple doesn't have any built-in ad blocking components in teh OS or in Safari...so what ad blocking program or Safari extension are you using? It should have the ability for you to change its settings.

Since software update, can't see contents of iPod when connected to iTunes

About 2 days ago, when I connected my iPod to my pc (iTunes), it said there were some software updates for my iPod so I downloaded them and the iPod rebooted itself. Once it came back up, my iPod showed up in iTunes under "devices" on the left hand sidebar. I got the registration page - I usually click register later, but nothing happened this time. It didn't bring me into my iPod. So I tried to Register. I could get so far, then it asked if I wanted some free movie or something, I said NO THANKS, CONTINUE, but nothing happened. I wasn't registered AND I couldn't access my iPod. I can see my iPod under My Computer. I can see "sandra's iPod" uder devices in iTunes. BUT, I can't get to the content when connected to iTunes. All of my stuff is there on the iPod. I can play my iPod when it's not connected to iTunes - but I can't see the content, manipulate playlists, delete songs, etc. when connected to iTunes. I am almost positive this is a result of the latest software updates to the iPod. I have not updated iTunes - I didn't want to and compound the problem. I'm not a techy person - so please be gentle! After installing Lion os I cannot see my desktop 1 nor can I see my open windows when I go to finder, I just get the grey/black background that comes with mission control. Any ideas as to how to solve this problem?

The top picture is what my Desktop 1 looks like. And the picture below is what my desktop looks like after clicking mission control. Ive tried changing wallpapers, changing preferences, etc. and I still can't figure out what's wrong. As you can see, on mission control you can't see any of the open windows, or anything that I have placed on my desktop. Any ideas as to how to solve this issue?

Hello cor-el, thanks for your reply. I changed my settings for downloads to desktop and it has appeared on there. When I double click I am asked which program I want to open file. I click firefox and another box "opening install" says I have chosen to open the file which is an application and do I want to save it. This is the only real option so I press save file. I get a box saying this is an executable file which may contain viruses - do you want to run. I press ok and the final box showing C drive file name and desktop appears stating application not found.
This happens the same whenever I try to install.
To my untrained eye the application is not being recognised as an application and I cannot work out how to get it to do that.
My plugin is still showing as out of date.
Is there anything you could suggest. Thanks for your time.
