Can't see any picture in smart album

Hi,
I just installed Apperture by using iPhoto's library. My iPhoto library has a couple of smart albums. When I am browsing my smart albums in Apperture I cannot see any images anymore (using iPhoto everything is fine).
What might be the reason?
Any help is really appreciated.

there used to be a bug related to smart albums created in iPhoto, maybe it has not been fixed completely. I'd recreate them all in Aperture.
I also tested it with a newly created smart album with no success
Did you create that new smart album in Aperture or iPhoto?
If you created the smart album in iPhoto, create it again Aperture:
Make sure, the source of the smart rule is set to "Library/Mediathek", and not to a folder or project.
And I'd try to use a "Calendar" rule instead of a "Date" rule. Then you can be sure of the date that is set. I found, that Aperture sometimes was confused about the syntax for the dates, if a German date format was used. In the "Calendar" rule you can just highlight the range of dates you want.

P.S. Sorry, I cannot switch to a German interface for German screenshots right now, because I do not want to reboot.

You can toggle Full Screen Mode on and off by tapping the F11 key. You can also move your cursor to the top of your screen, toolbars will slide down, right-click in the blank area at the end of the Tab bar, choose "Exit Full Screen Mode".

Check the image exceptions: Tools > Options > Content: Load Images: Exceptions - See [[Options window - Content panel]]
A way to see which images are blocked is to click the favicon (''Site Identification'' icon) on the left side of the location bar.
A click on the "More Information" button will open the Security tab of the "Page Info" window (also accessible via "Tools > Page Info").
Open the ''Media'' tab of the "Page Info" window.
Select the first image and scroll down though the list with the Down arrow key.
If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "''Block Images from...''" then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.

*Check the permissions for the domain in the current tab in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"
*Check that images are enabled: Firefox > Preferences > Content: [X] Load images automatically
*Check the exceptions in "Firefox > Preferences > Content: Load Images > Exceptions"
*Check the "Tools > Page Info > Media" tab for blocked images (scroll through all the images with the cursor Down key).

Since I updated to iOS 4.2. I can't see the pictures of the albums

I've got an iPod touch. When I select the option "albums", and I can see the list with all my albums, no problem, I can see the covers. But, if I select one of them, before, I used to be able to see the cover of the album on the top left corner, with the tracklist below, and the information of the album above. Since I updated to 4.2. covers won't appear on that screen.
Anybody's got the same problem? Any solutions?

You're not alone! I have the same problem with mine too, ever since updating to 4.2. The artwork appears for a few albums, but for majority of my albums it doesn't.
I just went through my iTunes and had it sort my songs by date added. Anything that I had added since 6/22/10 the artwork appears fine; everything before that is missing. I looked up the release dates of all the OS's for iPod touch, and sure enough iOS 4.0 was released 6/21/10. So basically all artwork pre-4.0 is missing.
Pretty weird, hopefully Apple resolves this and some of the other issues with 4.2.

Photoshop CS 6- Can't see any picture

Hi, I am actually looking for the german support but I can't find it nowhere.
Anyway maybe there are some people who have the same problem.
I have the new version of adobe creative suite 6 Design standard sudent and teacher edition (german edition). My Pc quite new and have all the
system requirement which is necessary.
But when I open a picture in photoshop (standard jpeg) I can't see it. I just see the typical white grey check if you have an empty layer.
The funny thing is, if I go with the mouse to the picture and move it a little bit I can see the picture. There is no check anymore, but when I don't click on the picture with the mouse the picture is gone again and I just see the grey-white check.
Or I just see small pieces from the picture. There are no problems in Illustrator with the jpeg.
Does anybody know what this is and how I can fix it?

Please answer as many of the following questions as you can. You may already have answered some of them. In that case, there's no need to repeat the answers.
Back up all data before making any changes.
Have you restarted your router and your broadband device (if they're separate) since you first noticed the problem? If not, do that now and see whether there's any change.
If your browser is Safari, then from the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
and confirm. Any change?
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Are any other web browsers installed, and are they the same?
If other browsers and Internet applications are also affected, follow these instructions and test. Any change?
If only Safari is affected, launch the Activity Monitor application and enter "web" (without the quotes) in the search box. If a process named "Safari Web Content" is shown in red or is using more than about 5% of a CPU, select it and force it to quit by clicking the X or Quit Process button in the toolbar of the window. There may be more than one such process. Any improvement?
Follow the instructions in this support article. Any change?
Are there any other devices on the same network that can browse the Web, and are they affected?
If you can test Safari on another network, is it the same there?
If you connect to your router with Wi-Fi and you can also connect with Ethernet, do that and turn off Wi-Fi. Any difference?

Help! Photos Library copied to external hard drive, but after preparing the library I can NOT see any pictures.

I am having a tough time and searched, but have not found an answer that works. Last night I copied my iPhoto Library to an external hard drive because when I initially attempted to set up Photos, I got an error that said I needed 88 GB of space for the transfer. I got the iPhoto Library onto the hard drive and reopened the app and it prepared the library. It was talking forever, so I went to bed. This morning, I have this screen...
There are NO pictures in the actual app. I went to the external hard drive and see that the Photos Library exists...
I have tried to hold command and option and restart Photos and I did get a prompt that it was repairing; however, this was unsuccessful. Please help! I know the photos are there because when I show package contents, I see them all in my Masters/Old Masters folders.

Agree with baltwo, though even if you have saved the install app I wouldn't use it unless its been used to install a known good copy of the OS already.
In your case, that probably means start fresh:
Restart the computer, holding down 'command' and 'r'. When the recovery disk window shows, choose 'Reinstall Mac OS X'.

Can't see any pictures on facebook

Hey I am new to this.
My facebook been working fine since I bought it (about a month now) and today am having problems with seeing pictures on facebook and there is no facebook logo in the cornor either. I am trying to access it through the normal blackberry browser but it works in opera mini browser but I don't get why its not working in the normal browser it just started today.

Have you tried a battery pull yet?
Also in the browser options, try to clear the cache, cookies, etc.

Now that my PSE 11 trial has ended, I can't see any of the photos/albums/layouts I made in PSE 9.

I simply can't afford the upgrade at this time, but I did a lot of stuff during the month I used the trial and don't want to lose it all!

In E11, one can't open Elements Organizer too after the trial has expired.

I can't see any uploaded pictures on my wordpress blog!

I bought my mac one week ago and i've uploaded some pictures to my wordpress blog and inserted them in the textbox but i can't see them.
And when want to visit my blog i can't see any pictures uploaded before.

This is a subject for Wordpress support. If they can't develop websites that are w3.org compliant, you'll want to use a different blogger. Also if this difficulty is with Safari, let us know, and we can ask the moderators to move this thread to the Safari forum.

How should I do to see the pictures in my albums after publishing?

I've had my webpage for over a year and recently I made some major updates. I changed the theme and added more albums but after I published the updates I've noticed that I can't see the pictures in my albums. I can see the thumbnails and I can click on them but I can't see the pictures when I'm in the album. It's just a blank page and it says "Comments Widget" This is when I use Safari, when I use Internet Explorer the webpage doesn't work at all.
Does anyone know how I can solve this problem. Would be really thankful for some help!

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Where are you hosting the site and how are you uploading the files to it? What's the URL of your site so we can examine it first hand?

1 - iPhoto never forces you to upgrade - any upgrade of the software is initiated by you
2 - what version of iPhoto did you have? What version did you upgrade to? What version of the OS do you have?
3 - what exactly happens when you launch iPhoto?
4 - with no backup it is just a matter of time until you lose all of yoru files including your photos - thing do happen and with no backup you are 100% guarenteed to lose everyhing sooner or later
as a wild guess backup, depress the option and command keys, launch iPhoto and rebuild your iPhoto library database
