Can't see anything

I worked on a site for a few hours and saved it.
When I open iweb I see the menu bar but no content.
All the options under the drop down file menu are grey.
I can pull up the inspector, and tools but nothing on the page
It is not blank either it shows what is underneath it (desktop, whatever)
Show layout is grayed out.
If I go to User,Library,application support,iweb the file is there but it does not show up, just the menu bar. When I view the files contents in INFO it shows the .jpgs and other things I used to create the program.
Lastly I can not start a new one either because it is grayed out

I am a pc geek and bought a new MacBookPro and iMac for my recording studio and up untill now I loved my new Mac's

Sounds like an old problem with iWeb 08. Try the following: go into iPhoto, select a couple of photos and use the Share->Send to iWeb. You might have to do it 2 or 3 times. That would jump start the menus, etc.
Next, delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, repair disk permissions and reboot. Then try again.

A few months back I Dropped my iPhone 4 and I cracked my screen and now i cant unlock my phone due to touch screen not working plus there are blurred lines across the screen and I can't see anything that it displays.
Now when I try too connect my iPhone 4 to iTunes on my computer at home an error message comes up saying that I have to unlock my iPhone 4 for it to communicate to my device.
But the problem is that I can't unlock my iPhone 4 because I'm unable to see the key pad and my touch screen no longer responds when I touch it.
I just want to reset my iPhone 4 back to its Factory Settings & start all over from the beginning.
How can I unlock my iPhone 4 with iTunes on my computer or any other option you suggest me trying.

If you have had a "local guy "repair your iphone you will not get any support from Apple for warranty OR post warranty
If Verizon return it to Apple it wil not be handled by Apple
If Verizon also use unauthorised repairers you may be lucky
(Apple do not sell parts to local guys or anyone else )

Can't see anything in external drive after renaming a folder

Hi all,
I can't see anything on my external drive after renaming a folder. I have the drive set up as a Windows drive with access through the volumes folder (I had to transfer large amount of files from a PC and have it be readable on my MacBook Air); I read a FAQ to set it up a few months ago and it has been working fine since then. I saw the same issue come up with a PC HD on a PC, but the solution was for a PC. I don't see anything else like that in the support community (or if it's there, then I'm not searching for it the right way). There is no partition on the drive and it still shows as having the same amount of data written on the drive as before the accident.

If you upgrade the your router, it would be the firmware that will be upgraded. For more information regarding upgrading the firmware, try this link.
For your external drive, you might need to map the drive again with a different name.

First you can try to force reboot your phone. To do this:
1. Hold down the sleep/wake button and home button simultaneously.
2. Let go when the Apple logo appears and the iPhone is booting up.
If that doesn't work, you might need to hook the phone up to your computer and do a full restore through iTunes.

My iPHON 4 work's but I can't see anything! The birghtness is all the way up, but nothing is showing. When I go to lock it, it would flash real quick, but then I can't see anything again. I have to put the phone on a slant to try and see where everything is. HELP!

You should book a Genius Bar appointment at your nearest apple store for a proper examination.
What you have described to me sounds like what happens when the moisture sensors on the iphone get activated rendering your iphone next to impossible to use.
If you are able to book an appointment at the genius bar by going to your nearest apples stores website.
one question for you.
If you shine a bright light on the display do see it faintly if so it is usually what happens when the phone has liquid damage.
But see a Genius first just to be sure. It could be something else

You are right, but how could i send it to Apple? when the phone company first replaced my iphone they had in stock alots of iphones and they just sent mine back to Apple and gave me a new one, so all i did is to give them my phone, but now how could i sent it to Apple? and i cant send it by myself, and the store wont do that, its a lost for them.. so sending it to Apple wasnt an option from the begining.
and for the record, i dont think the store where i bought it is an authorized shop.. its just a store who boughts phone's from Apple in a low price and sells it in much more money..

Reset, hold both Home and Power buttons until the iPhone restarts. This usually takes about 10 seconds of holding both buttons.

Sometimes when I quit Firefox, it makes my Mac screen display solid blue color. The computer does not crash, but I can't see anything. Opening programs, nor hitting any shortkey makes the display work again, so I have to shut down.
I am using Macbook pro, OS 10.6.8, 4 GB memory, 2 ghz intel processors i7. This has happened about 6 times in the last 3 months. Seems to be getting more frequent. Sometimes happens after using Netflix streaming video, sometimes after browsing sites that don't play video. I frequently use Pandora, but have Firefox set to dump cache, memory, etc. after each use.

Have you tried a safe start by holding the shift key when you boot? If that works, and it can take a while to complete, see if a regular boot now works. If it does, you need to free up space on your hard drive.
If a safe boot doesn't work, you need to either boot from an OS X DVD or go into target disk mode to connect via firewire cable to another mac to free up space on your hard drive. You need 5GB min, with 10% to 15%, or more, better, for systems usage. If you have a backup, move some data files to it, erase them and empty the trash.

Bring the phone to Apple for evaluation. Sonds like a hardware issue.

I installed an old keynote and numbers 08 disc recently on my new computer (not pages, I have the updated one and no problems)
when I open the program and any file/new template, everything is white. like i can't see anything without highlighting it and changing font color doesn't work. i cant even see the numbers gridlines. I have no idea what this is. help?

Downloading the updater can't tell you that it doesn't find the application.
The process give you a dmg file.
Keynote_404.dmg and / or Numbers_103.dmg
They are stored in your Download folder.
To apply each of them, you must double click the dmg file which will install a disk image on your Desktop.

To apply, it requires that the app is stored in the folder Applications:iWork '08
If you moved it you must restore the app where is MUST stay.
This requirement apply to Keynote too.

Just bought new replacement iphone from apple store and less than two hours later, the screen went blurry and I can barely see anything. Phone still functions fine though.

Just bought a new replacement phone at the apple store and as soon as I got home, vertical lines came up through the screen and now it's extremely blurry. All the functions of the phone still work fine and I really can't see anything except a small part of the screen at the top. I called the apple store and he told me to put the phone in recovery mode on my computer and the restore and update it. I did this and I can tell the phone has restored yet it is still extremely blurry and I can't see anything to type it in. Is there anything I could do with this? The apple store is over an hour away and saving another trip down there would be great. Thanks

First lets assume you battery is completely or almost completely drained.
Plug the iPad into the charger that came with it and plug that into a known good wall outlet. Leave it alone for at least an hour. Then, while it is still plugged in reset the iPad. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. If the iPad starts and seems to be ok let it continue to Harte until the battery is fully charged.
If this doesn't solve the problem I suggest having an Apple technician take a look at your iPad. Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

There really isn't any workaround to the cost. You can't get the parts needed to fix it yourself. Only Apple has those parts and they do not sell them to end users.
Sure you could take it apart and clean everything and the screen might start working again but then it might not. Depending on what cause it to stop working in the first place. Like something got shorted out.
