Can't see entire PDF

Can only see first page of PDF on iPad. Latest version of Reader is installed. Help!!!

Can't See Downloaded PDFs in Safari 3.0.4

Installed 10.4.11 over 10.4.10 using software update. Safari 3.0.4 set to show downloaded PDFs in a Safari Window. Adobe Reader 7.0.9 set to show PDFs in Browser Window. Safari correctly opens a new window as the PDF download begins. All seems to work fine until the moment Safari is about to display the downloaded PDF in the Safari window. At that instant, the Safari window turns completely dark gray and you can't see the PDF at all. The whole content area of the window turns dark gray. I grabbed Safari 2.0.4 from my backup and tried it. Same result. I reinstalled Adobe Reader from scratch. Same result.
This is critical here. We have to view PDFs all day.
It all worked fine under 10.4.10.
Any ideas?

Thanks. We can now see PDFs after installing Adobe Reader v8 as you recommend. But we sure miss the user interface of Reader v7 ! The user interface of Reader v8 will take some getting used to.
Would be nice if Apple documented the dependency/requirement somewhere, no????

If they're only on your PC, you can't.
Post a copy into the cloud to share it across different devices. Adobe Reader on both desktop and mobile has an integrated cloud storage system precisely for this reason. It's very prominently advertised in both apps, you can't miss it.

Can't see entire destop on a TV

I have connected my Powerbook to my TV using the DVI to VGA converter. My TV will take a max resolution of 640x480. I have set the display to mirror and set the resolution to 640x480. I can see it on my TV but the top and bottom are cut off and I can't see the entire desktop. I can't see the menu bar at the top and can see the very top of the dock.
I just can't seem to figure out how to see the whole thing. Am I out of luck?
This is an older laptop that has been sitting in the closet for a while, I decided to use it so that I can use iTunes in the living room.

The problem is that it does not detect the display as a TV instead it is "VGA Color Display". And when it isn't detected as a TV, the overscan option isn't available.
I changed my my theory on this and just plugged in to S-video and that solved my problem. There may be others that are experiencing this so I will leave this open a little while and see if there is a solution.

ITunes 11.1.5 Why I can't see added PDF files!

I added some PDF files to my Library and I still can't see them on the left side menu where I can se my Videos, music and Apps...
what could be the reason?
I am using iTunes 11.1.5 on Mac OSX 10.9.2

You no longer use iTunes to handle pdfs.
iBooks > File > Add to library.
If the pdf is an email attachment: control click > Open with > iBooks.
Some pdfs on websites have the option to 'Open in iBooks'.

I can't see adobe pdf printer

I've recently installed the CC on my iMac at work, including Adobe Acrobat Pro. When I go to (i.e.) Illustrator > file > print I can't see in the drop down menu the 'Adobe pdf' option to virtually print my files. Every software is updated to its latest version, including my operating system (OS X 10.9.5). I tried to look up in several websites and forums to see if I have to do something specific to get access to the adobe virtual printer (I never had to do anything like that because it's always been automatic after installing Adobe Acrobat Pro) but I couldn't find any help. Does anybody have some advice? Thank you in advance.

That's too bad. I have an old illustrator file with 18 layers, one for each page of a calendar. That option was good to create an original layered file directly in illustrator and then saving individual pages with the 'save visible and printable layers' option selected. Now if I choose 'save as pdf' there is no way to turn off unwanted layers and the resulting pdf is a fuzzy mix of all 18 layers

How can I see my PDF documents in iBooks

I can see my PDF documents in iTunes but not in my iPhone. What do I do wrong? Do I have to enable PDFs somewhere?

Evidently there is no way to view PDF files stored on iCloud by Preview on IOS yet. Surely Apple is working on this issue. Probably it will come out with IOS 6 (which does me no good since I have an iPad 1).

Can't see my PDF after the first page when i put the security on!

i have a PDF file protected by password that cause me problems.
If i put security by password on this PDF, and i look at the infos, i found : Encrypted with Acrobat Distiller 9.2.0
But if i don't secure it by password, i got Adobe Distiller.
But the real problem, with security, when i try to see my PDF on a website, il looks like this
If i don't put the security, it is ok, i can see the other pages. In my example, all what you see is the end of the first page, on 30 pages.
Am i the only person with this problem? I'm looking for another version of my acrobat to see if the "distiller" is the same and if i'll get the problem again.

I can only see half of the page and there is no area to scroll down only across.

How can I see entire attachment name?

I sometimes send attachments which have very long filenames. They are filenames generated by a customer, and they do not want me to reduce the number of characters. By long, I mean just 20 or 30 characters.
When I attach a file, it truncates the middle of the filename, so I only see the first 13 characters and the last 4 characters (which is usually the extension). I realize that if I hover over the filename, it expands the name. The problem arises when I have multiple files from the same customer. They often start with the same name and it's only in the middle or end of the name that it is different. If I have these 3 files in my outgoing mail message:
notification1003simple.doc
notification1003exercise.doc
notification1003frustrate.doc
All I see in my outgoing message is 3 icons with names like:
notification_….doc notification_….doc notification_….doc
Is there a way that I can have Mail show me the entire filename in the outgoing message, without hovering over the files, so I can see at a glance that I have the correct files?

Yeah, I wish I had a better answer for you, but hovering over the file icon like you are already doing now is the only way I know to disclose the full files' names. I personally am aware of no 3rd-party plug-ins that will do what you want. What would be cool is if there were an attachment drop down, kind of like what one sees in received mail with attachments, where you are given the option to save files. But even that, I think, truncates the file names.
I was just thinking of something you might try -- I'd try it myself but my mail server is offline at the moment (has been for going on two days now), but suppose you sent such a file to yourself and looked at the "Save attachment to disk" drop-down that is there with received mail. IF the files' names were fully disclosed in that list, that would let you do a quick check then you could forward that message to the intended recipients. A kludgey work-around to be sure, with no guarantees that it will even work (sorry I couldn't test it for you first). Probably not something that you'd want to do if this a routine event (of you sending mails with long and very similar filenames).

Can't see entire audo region?

I have made a recording in GB09, and I have 'hidden' or decreased part of it with the audio region length cursos that appears when you place the mouse over the bottom right or bottom left of a region
However, I now want to do the reverse, to see the entire region, but it won't let me! It seems as after you decrease a region's size, it leaves it like that and you have to stick with the smaller region

Yoo know how after you record something in GB you get a solid section for the recording, which shows the peakes in input, etc.
If you place your cursor on the top right corner of this section, you can "loop" it towards the right..
Similarly, if you place your cursor just to the right or the left of this section, you can "trim" the section, in order to eliminate unwanted recording parts or blank parts.
What I am saying is that after doing this, it wont let me "undo" this, i.e. it wont let me do the reverse operation, grab the section by the left or right and increase the size to see previously "hidden" recordings.

How can I see an pdf-attachement in preview

I got a coded pdf document with an included attachement.
I can see this attachements in the Acrobat reader bit not in preview.
Is there a possibility to see this attachements in preview as well.

It is not a normal pdf. It is a pdf which has an included attachement.
This attachement is not shown in preview, but I can open the attachement in the acrobat reader.

Can't see a pdf attachment

I've recently got an iphone and a work colleague is sending me pdf attachments of drawings for animation. now i can open the pdf but it just shows as blank pages. Anyone any ideas why this should be? Is there an app i can get to see them?

You should be able to view them directly, as .pdf is a supported file format. See if he/she is sending the email, with the attachments, as an RTF formated email, if so, ask him/her to send the email as plain text. See if you can view the attachments now.
