Can't see InDesign FAQ here - "not allowed"

I'm logged in to forums.adobe.com (obviously since I am posting now) but when I click on the FAQ for InDesign, I get the message:
It appears you're not allowed to view what you requested. You might contact your administrator if you think this is a mistake.
The URL for that attempted click shows as http://forums.adobe.com/community/indesign/faq?promoid=KBHJE . Don't know what that promoid came from.
It's been a "challenging" day for me on my first day learning to use InDesign, including InDesign crashing on my 12 GB memory Mac Pro on my second page with really basic content and a couple of simple styles.
This wasn't what I was intending to post as my first post, but here it is! Onto my real question in a separate post.

Try exporting to .idml. If that works, openthe .idml and save as a new .indd.
If it doesn't work, force quit ID and then restart. Auto-recovery should kick in and reopen the file at about the last state, then try again.

Yes. Go to "Preferences", choose "Presenter Display", and check "Alternate Display" and make sure "Notes" is checked under "Show".
Try it out on your own before you present in front of your audience to make sure the settings are what you need!

When I try to access the InDesign faqs, I get a page with this message:
"It appears you're not allowed to view what you requested. You might contact your administrator if you think this is a mistake."

At the top of this page it says: Adobe Community > InDesign

When clicking, I'm logged in to my Adobe Forums account.
I wouldn't usually post a message like this, but I'm having huge troubles with InDesign CC. Crashes on every quit and also runs very slowly. I want to avoid a complete hard drive wipe and OS and app install if I can and other forum posts say the faqs could well help.

I get the same. In fact, the link is malformed in that with the same link on the Illustrator page, the link ends in html. Not with the InDesign button link. Hover over the button.
When I am at the Illustrator main forum page, it takes me to the Adobe product page for Illustrator, with the FAQ selected.

I'm trying to create this procedure to update the table by inserting values into the table.
With the error being provided, isn't that basically saying I'm using a column name while I'm trying to insert my values? I've set alias names so there are no conflicts, and it's still giving me the error.
Can you guys see anythign?

The way to reference columns in a record is record_name.column_name, so you should say:
VALUES (rec_sales.id, rec_sales.mth, rec_sales.yr, rec_sales.quantity, rec_sales.totalsum);

Can't see InDesign layout in InCopy layout mode

We have just installed CS6 and one issue I am having is I can't see the page design when switching to layout mode. I can see the formatting of the story, but not the page the InCopy document is associated with. All of this is on a Mac network. Is there something about InDesign that has to be associated with InCopy in order to see layout mode correctly?

Itunes can't see my backups/backup not working properly

For some reason my copy of itunes does not seem to back up properly. The back up seems to run but then I can't see my backup under the preferences/devices tab.
I have a PC
It is an iphone 3G
I have reinstalled itunes following apples instructions.
It is not related to my phone as I have had 3 and the problem persists.
It does not persist with new users (I have itunes installed on another user account and it backs up fine).
In addition this copy of itunes has serious trouble updating my phone. It will download the software then crash every single time. I have to updating using another user version of itunes.
I have started the conflict resolution process but nothing seems to have worked so far and thought I would try here before taking the step of rebuilding my itunes library.
I am extremely frustrated.

ExtendScript Toolkit CS5: Can't see Indesign CS5 in the application list?

I start Adobe ExtendScript Toolkit CS5. There is a list with the installed and supported Adobe applications, but I miss Indesign CS5 in this list. E.g. I can see Indesign CS5.5, Indesign Server CS5 and a few other applications, but not Indesign CS5. On another PC I can see all applications.
What is wrong?
Why is this application missing?
What can I do?
I have installed a few Adobe applications, e.g. Indesign, Indesign Server and InCopy (CS3, CS4, CS5, CS5.5 of all applications (debug and release)).

Sorry, that might not be helpful at all, but:
be sure that your version of ESTK is 3.5.1
or try ESTK for CS5.5. There you could have access to InDesign CS5 as well.
It's a bit strange…
In my case right now I have access to InDesign CS5 AND InDesign CS5.5 in ESTK 3.5.1.
I have installed CS Design Premium for CS3, CS4, CS5 and CS5.5 on Mac OSX 10.6.8.

Pls. clarify me that, How Can I know/track the follwoing things? Which tables I hv to see?
I hv a list of materials, some r good , some r bad. So, I hv to trace out the bad materials depending on the criteria, So, pls. let me know Which tbls I hv to look?

F     External procurement
     No procurement
X     Both procurement types
My requirement: I need to trace the MATNR from matnr_list for Material status does not allow purchase
So, am thinking to write IF condn as,
IF my_itab-matnr <> 'F' or my_itab-matnr <> 'X'.
--> this matnr is Material status does not allow purchase

Can't save project, get "operation not allowed" warning

Has anyone else ever experienced not being able to save a project? I'm in a bit of a tricky situation as I can't save my project. When I do, I get a "operation not allowed" warning (see screenshot).
Have tried everything (different project name, different location, etc.) and also checked whether there are any permission / write access issues with my hard disks, but I can copy around files on the disk without any problem.
If anyone has a solution for this would be greatly appreciated, as I'd hate to lose my progress on the project by having to quit without saving

Hi,
You can open your PDF file in Adobe Reader XI then select "Comment" from right top corner.
You will see all your sticky notes under "Comment List"

I previously owned an iPad. I want to restore my iBook collection from my iPad to my Macbook. I can only see my collections but not the books. How can I restore it from my iPad backup?

I prevsiouly owned an Ipad. Before selling it, I backup it on my Macbook. When the new Mavericks has been released, i upgraded my Mac. Now that I have iBooks on my Mac, I want to restore my iBook collection from my previous Ipad to my Mac. On my Mac, I can only see the iBooks collection of my previous iPad but not the books that I have purchased. I probably had more than a hundred books on my collection (in epub and pdf formats). I have already tried transferring purchases in iTunes and adding to my Library but to no avail.
Can anyone give me a solution to this.

Restore as a NEW device to test. If this solves it, that means there is some corruption in your backup file, or maybe it's one of your apps causing the trouble. If the problem is still there, you should take it to the Genius Bar at an Apple Store for evaluation.

Can't See Indesign File, It Crashes, I Re-open It and It Works

When I open my large Indesign file, everything appears normally except I have a black screen where the document should display. The document tab exists as does the thumbnail view of all the pages, etc, but no actual document. When I try to close, Indesign crashes. When I re-open, the file opens fine and I can see everything as normal. This pattern of black screen - crashing - reponing to normal repeats itself over and over.
I'm on a Windows machine running the most recent version of Indesign CC.
I've tried "save as" to a new file name - same problem. I just go off the phone with Adobe support and they messed around, trashing my preferences and creating a new user account. The new administrator account kind of worked but I still got the problem to persist - once.
Before this all started, I was moving files around and did not move a "lock" file with the main file from one of the crashes. I wonder if this could be related? Any ideas?

More information:
This problem persists with other large Indesign documents of mine. It appears that the Indesign files themselves are not corrupt.
This problem definitely persists in the "Administrator" user account that was created with Adobe's support. So, switching to a new user did not help.
At the same time, I'm experiencing problems with Creative Cloud file storage, where I used to store some of the files associated with this document. However, it just doesn't feel like the two problems should be related.
What is Indesign doing??? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Studio 2 can create/see remote servers but not in remote deployment

In Sun Studio Creator 2, I can create and see my remote servers but when I try to remote deploy my web app from "Deploy to Remote Server", my remote servers do not show up on the list (Only Add Remote Server is there).
On my laptop with the same version of SSC, this is not a problem (I can see the remote servers in the deployment list) so I suspect that the problem is just on my desktop machine. The remote server settings are the same on both machines.
I have tried reinstalling SSC with no success. If anyone has run into this or have any suggestions on how to fix this, I would appreciate it.
