Can't see Ipod in network

I have an IPOD touch that I can connect wirelessly to the internet. I am using a WRT610n router using WPA-2 encryption. The IPOD connects through the router without any problems. When I open LELA3 I see every computer/laptop that is connected to the router. Even my wifes' Palm TX shows up. However, the IPOD does not. I have tried to use the add device, but it is of no help. I have refreshed the network without any change. I know the IP address, because I can disable the IPOD access in the access restriction menus. While it isn't a huge problem, why won't the IPOD show up in the network?
Also, I am another one with the red circle over the LELA icon. I have talked to tech support several times and talked to a senior analyst, and they have no idea what is causing this except they think it is some program that is scanning the system.

Airport Extreme green light but can't see the wifi network

Hello, coming back from the holidays I can't see my Wifi network anymore (From PS3, Phone, Computers ..etc.). My airport has a greenlight and the internet is working fine if my computer is connected with an Ethernet cable. I re-did the configuration many times and I did a hard reset of both my modem and the airport. It is not setted to a hidden connection. All the settings are basic like before. The only difference is that I did the update to 7.6.4.

I think you were right, my airport was broken and I noticed that at the end of the configuration process where there's a green checkmark it was written in the bottom that a wifi device wasn't working properly. Nothing could be done to make it work though.
I bought a new Airport Express now but I still have a major problem. I was able to configure it through wifi with my iMac without any problem and now it is connected to the internet via wifi perfectly but i STILL can't see the network with either my Android phone or my PS3 console !?
- Brand new airport express
- configured to "create a wifi network" with a WPA2 password using the simple steps of the airport utility
- Airport Utility 5.6.1
I did reset the airport express a few times with the utility and by removing the power cord. I also did reset my iMac and I can still connect to the wifi just fine with it.

Are these music videos located under Videos on your iPod? Do it play other regular movies (if you have any on the device)?

Click on the button for the iPod on the iTunes header bar, e.g.:
or go to the View menu and select "Show Sidebar" after which iTunes 11 will look much as earlier versions did. From there the process is exactly the same.

my iphone can't see any wifi networks ... i tried to reset network setting and reset all setting and update the ios system but no way

I, too, fear it might be a hardware problem . I removed all security from my router but still no networks appear in the list nor can I connect directly by typing in the SSID. Tried two routers: Apple Airport Extreme and a Linksys something-er-other provided by Bell.
I will give HP a call tomorrow and see if they can sort this out.

Edit: almost certain it's a hardware problem: I clicked on the Help button while on that "Scanning for networks" dialog during initial setup and as one of the "helpful" suggestions, it said my Mac address was 00:00:00:etc.

Server can't see itself on network, other devices can

When I create a Network user either using Server app or Workgroup manager home folder is not created. I started digging and I found that all devices on the network can see and access server's afp, but server can't see itself on network. On everyone's computer's "server" is shown inside finder, but if I open server's finder I can only see other's computers but I can't see server.
I've tried opening afp://(IP ADDRESS), afp://(DOMAIN), afp://localhost and none of this work inside server. DNS is fine, users can log and see files, etc. The only thing not working is afp from within the server and therefore user's accounts can't be created.
As a background I have a mac mini running under Mountain Lion with OS Server. I had an issue with Open Directory on which I couldn't edit/create/delete any user so I erased the OD Database and started over again.
Any idea will be very appreciated.

Thanks a lot for your quick response, I'm not sure if I'm doing this correctly but if I use anything with afp.XXXX I get an error saying afp.XXXX.com not found (NXDOMAIN) but also I don't have any server named "afp".
If I use it without "afp." I get:

or if I use 192.168.3.1 (main router) I get the public IP since everything is forwarded to that server (is the onlyone on the network).
For checking DNS I used changeip -checkhostname and I get:

DNS HostName        = (server).com
The names match. There is nothing to change.
dirserv:success = "success"
When I connect my clients to VPN I don't have any DNS issues.
I also thought it was a DNS problem but FTP, Web, and everything else works within the server, within the network and for external networks, AFP is the onlything not working.
Please let me know if you need any information, I really appreciate your help since this is anoying and I can't create folders for new users even if I use "createhomedir" command.

How can I see IPOD download on iTunes after syncing. The data syncs but is not visible on computer screen

For example, when I sync the contents of my address book to the computer using itunes, shouldn't I be able to see what content was transferred to itunes? When my calendar is synced shouldn't I be able to see on iTunes the events that I added to my IPOD?

IPhone 4S (and iPod Touch) can't see my wifi network.

My iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, and a few iPod Touches cannot see my wifi network. They can all see my neighbors'. My iPad and computer, however, can see my wifi network. They have all updated to the new iOS 6 recently. Help!!

Can't see ipod in itunes or my computer

HELP.Tried all recomended fixes in help forum. Background: power outage while ipod connected to PC. ipod frooze. Have reset ipod and ipod works, however when connecting to pc it is not visible in my computer or itunes. Have deleted itunes (V8) as recommended in help forum, and reloaded itunes 9. Done all the stuff and still can't see it. Have loaded itunes on my sons PC, and he can't see it either. Run diagnostics under help menu in itunes and says "ipod not connected", however it is showing charging on the ipod. Under my computer(right click)/properties/device manager, it shows "Apple ipod USB Driver" when I plug it in. It does not show up under my cumputer(left click) or in itunes. It used to work fine prior to the power failure (African curse). As I've said, I have done all recommended fixes mentioned in the Apple support pages. It seems to me that the problem is still with the ipod. When I plug it in the ipod charges and all the menues and options are available as if it weren't plugged in. Can't see public wifi network

Hi!
I want to connect my macbook pro with an open and free internet network in my neighborhood. I could always connect to it with older mac's + istumbler (but that software doesn't work anymore with snow leopard) and with windows xp (which uses a realtek software to control de wireless card of that computer).
Now that I have this new notebook, I can't see that network on the airport list that appears when I click the airport icon ... but it does appear when I look at the System Profiler list of surrounding networks.
Another information that could help, is that the name of this hidden free and open network, is exactly the same as another that does have a wep encryption. Maybe airport extreme has to choose one of them and preferes the one with more security? Is there any way to access to that open network without the needing of extra softwares as istumbler? Any ideas?

Have you tried selecting "Join Other Network" from the AirPort dropdown list, and then, entering the Network Name (aka SSID) of this network. If there are more than one with the same name, AirPort should be able to connect to the unprotected one. However, I would be a bit cautious to the extent of using "free" networks as they could actually be Ad-Hoc networks instead where your data communications will be unprotected.

Windows 7 machine can't see 802.11n network

(I actually have a Time Capsule but since this is a wi-fi question I'm posting it here.)
I have a Dell running Windows 7 (32-bit) that has a wireless dongle. The dongle is supposed to be 802.11n.
However, that computer never connects using n, it only connects at g.
I tried creating separate 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks on the Time Capsule, and the Dell DOES NOT EVEN SEE the 5GHz network. I can stand with a Macbook in the exact same location as the Dell and get a strong 5GHz signal.
Any clues?

My guess is that Win7 "recognized" the device as a Realtek and substituted the Realtek drivers for it. Did your Zonet come with an installation CD ... or provides a web support site? If either, I would strongly suggest, that you use their drivers instead ... and this is a good reason you're only getting access with the 802.11g mode.

ITunes can't see iPod Classic

I have an iPod Classic (120 GB)
It asked me to recovery with iTunes.
When I connected it to iTunes it asked me to download last FW version,
but in that moment I had no internet connection,
so I choose to use the resident version.
Then the iPod has been recovered and it works. But obviously was empty.
After that, the computer see the iPod as a driver,
but iTunes can't see it.
I try with another pc, and is the same.
The tutorial on Apple web site, give a lot of information to try to restore iTunes,
but my problem is not on iTunes, is on iPod!
There is a way to force iPod to recovery mode? Now I have the internet connection again...

Itunes can't see Ipod - what to do?

It might asimilar problem as many of you have posted. I purchased Ipod classic in dec. 2009 and it worked fine. Then yesterday I wanted to download some more music to put on my Ipod Classic. when I opened Itunes it said it had upgrades and I did the updates. After this nothing works! There are no songs anymore on my Ipod and when I connect it to my computer, the computer can see it and it says there are no error to the hardware, but itunes can NOT see it!! When I connect my Ipod to the computer Itunes do not work at all. I have tried to reset it as described in the manual and I have tried to reinstall itunes on the computer, I have tried it on a new computer and so on, but nothing works! HELP!
Have only had the Ipod for 2 months and it wont work anymore. Any suggestions how to cure this problem?

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Macbook: I can't see my home network....

I am using a Macbook as detailed in my profile. Yesterday, upon getting home from work I booted up my Macbook to find out I couldn't get on the net.
Upon further investigation I found that the Macbook could not see my home network, despite me using it the previous evening. It can see all the other local networks that it usually can, as well as the mobile modem that I am using to type this now.
All other computers on the network can see it, and looking on the network configuration screen it can see my Macbook. But I can't see it
