Can't see korean characters in flash 10

I have my language/local set to Korean; also, I.E 8 has encodings for utf-8 set. (Same problem when viewed in Firefox vs 2.0.0.12) It is an English version of Windows XP, SP2 (all the latest patches installed - excluding SP3) This problem exists with a number of web sites; the attached file shows an example: the flash display (located line +5 from the top) does not display korean characters in the right box, yet, the left box is fine, note, this problem is illustrated elsewhere on this page. the URL is www.mnet.com  Although I am illustrating this problem with a 'community' web site, I have the same problem on my employer's web site; and therefore, I would apprecate valuable responses as to how to address this problem. thanks. B.

I have found the answer. It turns out that the option on the Advanced tag under regional options correct this problem; also corrects a similar problem I had with alpine emailer not displaying Korean.  thanks to all who may have read and thought about this problem.

  • Can't see Korean characters properly in text messages after latest update

Pretty simple, Korean characters used to work on my Q10 (being able to see them), but now after the latest update, they show up as half Chinese characters and completely garbled and unreadable.
This has basically made my Q10 useless to me, and I've moved back to my Galaxy S3. While I love my Q10 and BlackBerry, all of the bugs I've encountered has sort of made me... well, not happy.
Is there any chance this particular issue is going to get fixed?
    Thanks.

Just as additional information: moving my SIM card to a different phone and recieving the exact same text works on other phones, so it's definitely the Q10 and latest update (as I never had an issue previously with it).

how can I see hidden characters for email passwords?

You can't.  Under what circumstances are you hoping to see the characters?  When you type them in?  You do see each character as you type it in for a fraction of a second.  But you can't see the whole thing.

  • I can't see any characters when it asks to type them in for security reasons.

For example:When I try to buy tickets in Ticketmaster, I can never see the characters to type for security. Same thing when setting up a new Hotmail account. Where do I go to enable the character feature? Is this a Firefox issue or a MAC issue?

I came home and attempted to power on my iPad2. I can see the backlight but nothing on the screen. When I try to reset by pushing the off button and the power button at the same time I can sometimes see the characters briefly but the screen has lines. Can someone tell me if there is anything else I can do before a trip to the repair shop?
    Will

If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

  • How can I type Korean characters with Firefox 4?

I upgraded to Firefox 4 and now I have difficulty typing Korean characters. When I switch my keyboard to Korean and start typing, the characters go to a bar on the bottom of the browser. It is not even a bar for inserting text. There is no insert button and it only allows me to type one syllable block.
I found a temporary, but still frustrating, fix by going View -> Character Encoding -> Customize List and adding one of the Korean character encodings. When I ran out of encodings, it worked simply to click OK, and I would able to type in Korean. But now I can only type in Korean for a few syllables or on one tab before the system reverts to disallowing me to type Korean characters.
Is there something I can do to permanently fix this, or should I resign myself to waiting for an update or downgrading to Firefox 3? I like Firefox 4 with the exception of this Korean character issue.

That is up to Delicious or whoever created their Firefox extension to fix, not something for Mozilla to fix.
See this article which explains how to fix compatibility in the Delicious extension to get it to work in Firefox 4.0.x versions. <br />

  • Is Flash Cache fully transparent? Can I see content of a flash cache?

    Hi,
is there possibility to see content of a flash cache like v$bh ?

On the cell layer, you can do
CellCLI> list flashcachecontentThat returns several info about the flashcached objects, amongst others the objectnumber that you can retrieve on the Database Layer with DBA_OBJECTS (object_id there).
AFAIK, there is no direct view on the Database Layer for that.
    Kind regards

    P.S.
Example for looking at multiple Cells for FlashCache info about a certain table:
dcli -g cells.txt "cellcli -e list flashcachecontent attributes cachedKeepSize, cachedSize, hitCount where objectnumber=75698"Usage of dcli as above is explained here:

My computer supports the language, I can see the characters on other programs, windows media player, internet explorer, firefox, notebook...... so it's only an itunes problem.

    Thanks

Did you create a NEW account using the instructions in Creating an iTunes Store, App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store account without a credit card using an email address you had not previously used with Apple?
    You have to.
Maybe that option is not available in your country. It works in the USA

  • [SOLVED] Can't see special characters in terminal

Hi, sorry for my bad English.
I installed Arch Linux around 4 days ago and I'm having problems with special characters, such as:
    á, ç, é, ã
I can type them and see what I type in bash (except when I do between "", like $echo "á", so they automatically become "??").
When I use ls, my files are also showed as "??", A??, when they should be "Á" and "Aí".
It would be normal, like a font issue, but here is the weird part:
When I use the bash auto-complete (TAB) to see files in my current directory, they are showed correctly according to the font I am using,
for example, the current font still show they wrongly, like "A??" when the file is "Aí", and when I set the font LatArCyrHeb-16, it shows "Aí".
It looks like bash-completion is the only application affected by setfont.
Sorry if my explanation is too confuse.
I can send screenshots if necessary.

I was using LANG=en_GB.UTF-8 in /etc/vconsole.conf, but I was selecting and generating pt_BR.UTF-8 in /etc/locale.gen
Now, I changed all them to "en_GB.UTF-8" and it's working fine!

  • Can't see correctly characters in IE in Forms9i

    hi
when we call any form (Forms9i) from IE browser, Turkish characters in form cannot be seen correctly. After setting manually IE encoding to UTF8 from View menu, they are displayed fine. When we set it manually UTF8 in client once, then it displays the characters well any longer.
We are searching a method to fix the encoding to UTF8 in IE browser.
    Thank you for your support
    Best Regards

I concur with TSN. What I see is shown below:
That looks reasonable. I assume this is also what TSN was seeing. The fonts are all normal Arial fonts. Even if you are on a MAC, I think the Arial would be replaced by Helvetica for viewing. 2 of the fonts are not embedded and you may not have the fonts on your system, explaining the viewing problem. The same is probably true for all the other PDFs you mentioned. You may want to see if you can add the Arial fonts to your system (again, we have no idea what that is).

  • Can't see emoji characters in an email

    Hi All,
i have always had a weird issue that I hope someone can assist me with...
On my iPad and iPhone, when someone uses an emoji character when emailing me (I just tested it with an emoji smiley face)  I can see the emoji character properly rendered in the preview lines of the Mail app, but when I look at the actual message, it's rendered as a capital J.
I believe this happens in both Exchange and in Gmail. Not sure that it's relevant.
I don't think it has anything to do with having the emoji keyboard installed, but I DO have it installed...
    Any help?
    - Jon

    jbauer wrote:
I can SEE that they DID send an emoji character because I can see the smiley face in the lines of preview in the Mail app. However, in the body of the message, it shows up as a J...
But they presumably did not send an emoji in the body, they sent a J.  You can double check that by doing View > Message > Raw Source.  If you see J there, the problem is clearly caused by the sender's mail app or the stuff handling his email on the way to you.
If you see an emoji in the raw source, let us know.
If you send yourself a message with an emoji in the body, do you see a J in the copy in your Sent folder?  Or the copy in your inbox?
