Can't see Manage Link to work with tables views and links

I have an Azure account linked to Office365, and a Pay as you go subscription;  and have been working with SQL for a few months without any problem.    I wanted to move one of my databases to my own Azure account (not tied to our O365)
so I get a free trial, and then converted that to paid with my credit card.   I had someone help me move the database, but now when I look at it in the new account there is no "Manage" link at the bottom to open and see the tables, fields,
views, etc.     I don't understand why that isn't there.  I can copy, delete, all sorts of things.   But I can't "manage".    any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I checked with a college and he pointed me to another post on the same topic:
Clicking the ‘Manage’ button in Azure Management portal launches the SQL Azure Management (SilverLight) Portal in a new tab in the browser. At this time, we do not plan to support this SilverLight-based SQL Azure Management Portal with V12 databases and
servers.
We are working hard on an HTML-based T-SQL editor experience that will deeply integrate with the preview Azure Management Portal. Until then, we encourage customers to use Visual Studio Community 2013 which is a full-featured free version of Visual Studio
2013 to connect to Azure SQL databases for tasks such as running T-SQL, designing schema and for offline and online database development.
You can click the the ‘Open in Visual Studio’ in the database page in the Azure Management portal to launch VS2013 on your computer and easily connect to your SQL Database.
In addition, you can also use SQL Server Management Studio 2014 with CU6 to connect to Azure SQL Database. More details are on this blog post.

    Hi Ashish,
Thanks for the reply. The issue is
      1. I have created a new view with table view
      2. Created the controller class for the view
      3. Created the context node and iterator

  • Can't get my facetime to work with my mac and my wifes i phone touch

my face time does not work with my macbook connecting to my wifes i phone touch and we are in the same room she calls me my mac rings then cuts straight off. My mac will not connect to hers at all

Out of curiosity, are you trying to connect each device using the same account? If so, the devices may be getting confused on which one it's calling from and which one it should be trying to contact. You'd need two separate accounts/numbers in order for this to work.
For example my Macbook Pro's factime connection is using [email protected] as a host, and my iPhone is using it's cell number xxx-xxx-xxxx. If I click on my number from my Macbook Pro, it rings my iPhone for a Facetime. Or if I tap on my email address (associated with Facetime for the Macbook Pro) from my iPhone, it starts the Facetime and my Macbook Pro will ring.
If this is not the right answer, please respond with more detail on how you have your connection set up.
    Cheers!

  • BB Desktop Manager no longer works with Mac Maverick - Need Help Urgently

I have been a loyal Blackberry user since the Government of Canada officially began using these cell phones. I feel, however, abandoned by Blackberry (they obviously don't believe that it is easier to retain an existing customer than acquire a new one). I'm using a Blackberry Bold (9900) with a Macbook Pro. Everything was fine until I upgraded my Mac operating system to Maverick; my Blackberry Desktop Manager no longer works, so I cannot sync the content (contacts, calendar) of my phone with my Mac, but that's not the worst of it.
I recently had a momentary lapse and exceeded the 10 password attempts to access my phone... this accidentally wiped my phone clean... and because Desktop Manager does not work with Mac, I do not have a way to recover my data. Rogers was of no help and had Blackberry updated its desktop software months ago, as it should have, this issue would have been moot. I do not know how or why, but I was able to recover most of my data, but I'm not sure just how up-to-date tha data is and am still going through it, but I'm having issues with some functionality.
I'm in the US for several months and have suspended my Canadian services. Prior to the wipe, I was able to use wifi on my phone to send and receive emails with no problem.  After the wipe, I can't send emails or bbms.  I checked my blackberry internet service and all email accounts are good to go. BBMs are another issue.  I need help.  Suggestions please.

Apple has ceased synchronization with Mavericks. The issue lies with Apple, not with the desktop software. To mitigate the lack of sync capabilities in Mavericks you can sync your contacts and calender on your Mac with the usual suspects (Yahoo, Google). Create a backup (archive) for Contacts and Calender on your Mac first, then create one of those email accouonts that allow syncing. On your 9900 and with BlackBerry provisioning enabled create the new or existing email account. See which email accounts can sync with BB, I know Yahoo is working fine. For Yahoo, get the Yahoo Calender sync (a few bucks one-off payment required), Contacts sync works off the shelf within BB. If you reset the 9900 you should be able to restore all data with BB DTM. Please note that emails you received during the 9900 reset and the date of restore will not be available on the device. You will still not be able to sync contacts/calender over BB DTM. I hope that helps.
BlackBerry Bold 9900, Blackberry Z10 and BlackBerry PlayBook.

This question is asked by many who find their computer is below the G3/600Mghz Specs limit set for iChat
See here in the second table top left box the listing of the G3/600
Please note there are different Specs for Audio and Video chat.
This linked Apple Doc has been re-written several times since it originally cam out that it does not quite carry the same help as it once did
It is presumed that you are going to want to take as much advantage of iChat as you can. So I will talk about Video chatting.
    For Jaguar (10.2.5 - 10.2.8)
Prior to the beginning of Oct 2004 there was a Jaguar version of iChat AV on sale at the Apple Store as a download. If you are at 10.2.5 - 10.2.8 and downloaded the $29.95 Version 2.0 of iChat for Jaguar, in preperation of using iChat, before this date, you may find some of this information useful.
    The WWDC Anouncement
If you did not buy it, your only option is to upgrade to Panther.
    For Panther (10.3.x) and Jaguar (10.2.5 -10.2.8)
IF you fall below the G3/600 mark then you will need this utility, iChatUSBCam from Ecamm.com This will enable the external iSight to work at lower spec machines. The current reported lower limit is around the G3/350Mhz mark.
It is also will enable USB cameras for use with iChatAV, but there is little in the way of substantive information about Sub G3/600 computers achieving this.
There have been about a dozen posts to say that it will use a USB cam on a G3 as low as 400Mgz
It should be noted that computers of this age tend to lack Multi-Tasking and will find that iChat will take up most of their processor time.

This is a link to the drivers already installed in the Mac OS. The download is not required. *See note below
Apple used to list the DV camcorders that work with the drivers already in the Mac OS but now Apple no longer does so (Link removed from this section). *See note below.
Essentially any Firewire camera will work with the OS. Some MiniDV formats can not be seen by iChat though.
Many USB Webcams will work if you are at 10.4.8 or earlier or only UBS 1.1 ports. This will need the Mac Drivers and the IChatUSBCam utility.
*Note: Both these last two lists were updated Jan 2004 or before. The purpose of pointing this out to highlight the fact that new cameras have come on the market since. They may work with these drivers or have their own Mac Firewire drivers on their accompanying install CDs.
The Current list for Firewire Webcams is now here as linked above.
    For Tiger (10.4) and up.
Much of what has been said before applies to you as well. Most firewire web cams will work DV Camcorder will work. USB cameras can work with the correct Mac Driver and the iChatUSBCam utility.
    However....
10.4.9 now adds a driver for USB Video Class (UCV) web cams that will work with the OS and iChat. Not all USB video cams are of this type and iChatUSBCam is still needed.
    Mulit-Video Chatting
This was added to iChat at iChat 3 in Tiger (10.4.x)
As can be seen from the Specs linked earlier you need a Mac over a certain Spec (G4/1Ghz Dual) to be able to Host Video chats. (plus Internet Speed).
Ecamm come to people rescue again with PowerBoost if your Mac does not reach those specs.
    Leopard 10.5
In Leopard the criteria is also for a mac of a certain spec before you even start, This is a G4/867Mghz processor. If you have problems then see this Apple Doc There is also some evidence that this helps other macs with the same message even if not this spec machine.

  • How can I get my ipod to work with itunes?

When I connect my ipod classic into my new computer it seems that itunes does not recognize it. How can I get my ipod to work with itunes? I'm afraid to disconnect my ipod because the display is saying Do Not Disconnect.

    1. Update iTunes to the latest version. Plug in your iPod. If iTunes still can't recognize it, then in iTunes in the top left corner click help> run diagnostics. On the box that comes up, check the last two things. Click next and it should identify your iPod.
    2. Click on your windows start menu. Type in "services". Click on it and when it pops up, on the bottom of it click on "standard". Now Scroll down to find "Apple Mobile Device" Right click it when you see it and click on "Start". When it has started, close iTunes and replug in your iPod and it should show up.
    3. Check the USB cable
4 Verify that Apple Mobile Device Support is installed
    5. Restart the Apple Mobile Device Service and verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed.
    6. If you just want to add some photos, songs and movies from computer to your devices, you can use an iTunes alternative to do the job
    7. Check for third-party software conflicts.

  • [SOLVED] Can't get epson Perfection V500 working with xsane/iscan

    SOLVED
Cool, solved my own problem.  Nothing in the docs about what needs to be done, maybe on the distros that avasys supports this is done automatically by the install scripts.  Poking around I found a utility with iscan called iscan-registry.  A little googling found that this needs to be used to tell iscan where to find the plugin/firmware for a particular scanner.  In the case of my particular scanner you need to run:
    iscan-registry -a interpreter usb 0x04b8 0x0130 /usr/lib/iscan/libesint7C /usr/share/iscan/esfw7C.bin
Now working like a champ.  Yay now I don't need to install Debian
Did a search of the forums hoping to find something similar to my problem, but I'm not seeing anything.  I've gotten a Epson Perfection Photo V500 scanner which the sane website will work if you download the backend and firmware from the avasys site.
I've built iscan using the pkgbuild in AUR, and extracted the firmware from the rpm on the avasys site.  sane-find-scanner finds the scanner, but scanimage -L and iscan both fail to detect it.
I'm part of the scanner group, but I don't think this is a permissions issue as even as root, scanimage -L and iscan still cannot find the scanner.
Thought maybe it was a configuration issue, but I've added the vendor and product IDs and a firmware line with the path to the firmware file to /etc/sane.d/epkowa.conf and this didn't help at all.  It just made things fail slower.  I don't think any tweaks to the config are required though as nothing needs to be done to get this scanner working in debian/ubuntu, just installing the debs is enough, and the configs put in by those don't look too different from the arch ones.
Interestingly enough, vue-scan also requires the firmware/drivers from avasys to work with this scanner and I'm able to scan with it no problem.
At the moment is seems as though my options are installing vue-scan or setting up a PC with debian, which is the one I'm leaning towards at the moment as I'd like to see if Iscan/xsane can do what I need before shelling out for vue-scan.  But I'd really like to keep arch but be able to use my scanner.
This is my first time using a scanner on Liunx so it could be I'm missing something obvious.  Anyone have any ideas?

Can I have a link to where you found this 'iscan-registry' package?  I need it too.
EDIT: Never Mind, forgot to finish installing iscan    I only installed the iscan-data.

    What is Object Orientation?
Object orientation (OO), or to be more precise, object-oriented programming, is a problem-solving method in which the software solution reflects objects in the real world.
A comprehensive introduction to object orientation as a whole would go far beyond the limits of this introduction to ABAP Objects. This documentation introduces a selection of terms that are used universally in object orientation and also occur in ABAP Objects. In subsequent sections, it goes on to discuss in more detail how these terms are used in ABAP Objects. The end of this section contains a list of further reading, with a selection of titles about object orientation.
    Objects
An object is a section of source code that contains data and provides services. The data forms the attributes of the object. The services are known as methods (also known as operations or functions). Typically, methods operate on private data (the attributes, or state of the object), which is only visible to the methods of the object. Thus the attributes of an object cannot be changed directly by the user, but only by the methods of the object. This guarantees the internal consistency of the object.
    Classes
Classes describe objects. From a technical point of view, objects are runtime instances of a class. In theory, you can create any number of objects based on a single class. Each instance (object) of a class has a unique identity and its own set of values for its attributes.
    Object References
In a program, you identify and address objects using unique object references. Object references allow you to access the attributes and methods of an object.
In object-oriented programming, objects usually have the following properties:
    Encapsulation
Objects restrict the visibility of their resources (attributes and methods) to other users. Every object has an interface, which determines how other objects can interact with it. The implementation of the object is encapsulated, that is, invisible outside the object itself.
    Polymorphism
Identical (identically-named) methods behave differently in different classes. Object-oriented programming contains constructions called interfaces. They enable you to address methods with the same name in different objects. Although the form of address is always the same, the implementation of the method is specific to a particular class.
    Inheritance
You can use an existing class to derive a new class. Derived classes inherit the data and methods of the superclass. However, they can overwrite existing methods, and also add new ones.
    Uses of Object Orientation
Below are some of the advantages of object-oriented programming:
Complex software systems become easier to understand, since object-oriented structuring provides a closer representation of reality than other programming techniques.
In a well-designed object-oriented system, it should be possible to implement changes at class level, without having to make alterations at other points in the system. This reduces the overall amount of maintenance required.
Through polymorphism and inheritance, object-oriented programming allows you to reuse individual components.
In an object-oriented system, the amount of work involved in revising and maintaining the system is reduced, since many problems can be detected and corrected in the design phase.
    Achieving these goals requires:
    Object-oriented programming languages
Object-oriented programming techniques do not necessarily depend on object-oriented programming languages. However, the efficiency of object-oriented programming depends directly on how object-oriented language techniques are implemented in the system kernel.
    Object-oriented tools
Object-oriented tools allow you to create object-oriented programs in object-oriented languages. They allow you to model and store development objects and the relationships between them.
    Object-oriented modeling
The object-orientation modeling of a software system is the most important, most time-consuming, and most difficult requirement for attaining the above goals. Object-oriented design involves more than just object-oriented programming, and provides logical advantages that are independent of the actual implementation

  • Why I can't see the link to verify the e-mail for AppStore registration?

I try to resend the e-mail with verify link, but I can't see the link again? Any solutions?

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity. Creating a rescue email address also requires correctly answering them.

  • Can't get Desktop Software configured properly to work with Outlook 2007 and Blackberry 8703E

I have a Blackberry 8703E and I have Outlook 2007 on my laptop. I keep trying to install the Desktop software but don't know what option to choose, how to configure it to recognize Outlook, etc. My goal is to be able to sync my contacts, appointments, tasks, etc. between the laptop and my Blackberry. I have no clue what I am doing or how to install and configure the software to work.
Also, I am going to uninstall the Desktop software and want to know what the link is to download the most current version that will work with my phone and my laptop (running Vista). I do not subscribe to the Blackberry service but only want to sync between my computer and the phone.
PLEASE HELP! I am not knowledgeable in this stuff and any detailed instructions would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks a bunch!

Don't know if you got your answer by now, but thought I'd try to help.
First, let me preface by saying I use Vista, not XP, but my Outlook is 2007.
Next, you need to be careful as to which versions of the software you use both (a) on your Blackberry desktop and (b) on your Blackberry itself.  For example, I use the 8703e via Verizon, but so far the phone's software only goes up to 4.2, which is two iterations short of Blackberry's latest smartphone software.  Why do they do this?  Because they typically introduce the new software via a new phone via an "exclusive" with a certain carrier, leaving all other users to either salivate or switch to the "exclusive" carrier.  Over time (6 months to a year) the "new" software may get rolled out to patient users with (by then) "older" phones, but they clearly want to incentivize consumers to just upgrade to new phones via special carriers.
As for the Desktop software, it is easy to get tripped up here, as Blackberry's download site in not very intuitive for this.  Your problem could be that you downloaded and installed a Blackberry Desktop Software that is too advanced a version for your phone.  (To add further confusion, the desktop software tends to have version numbers similar to the the phone software, such as "4.2.")
Bottom line: call your help number of your carrier to get the correct info for both sets of software for your phone.
Once all the right software/drivers are installed, the Desktop interface si fairly user-friendly.  From a few choices you can backup your Blackberry data; synchronize it (if you are not already doing that wirelessly), etc.
    Hope this helps.
